I think on your comments on brakes are spot on, today it’s a combination of brake parts (rotors especially) being “lighter” for MPG and then having to use “harder” brake pads to make up for the resulting higher temps... instead of just changing pads you now change pads and rotors.
The beauty of this score is that the high pinion Dana 60 front end was only offered in '78 & '79. I was fortunate enough to land one of these and it now rests underneath my '71.
What color is that, great looking truck. I see you still need to install the windshield trim. I just put windshield in my 68 with trim was a pain. I had to install the trim on the glass before I installed the glass.
Thanks, it is 1970 grabber orange. Yeah the window trim..... I started to try and put it in but no go. I am hoping to leave it in the sun for awhile and then give it another go.

I tried that, had to remove windshield and and install trim. Lots of tape and foul words to hold trim to glass.
