    10 years of life on that plastic is pretty good! Amazing how long it takes for those tomatoes and peppers take to mature. I start mine in January for the spring outdoor garden. Wish I had more room for lights a a greenhouse. Hope your knee will be ok! Have a great week!

    Thanks for your heart warming and educational videos.... Can you please talk about the financial side of the business? I'm really interested in starting a hydroponic farm.... every information appreciated!

      We have been thinking about doing a video on that subject. My first suggestion is taking a class on growing hydro commercially. CropKing has a great one called growers school which I actually speak at so I would check that out. They provide a full business plan along with other materials to help you be successful. I took the class 10 years ago.

      Yes, they are the best, we use them for all the seeds that are expensive. Just seem to do a better job sprouting.

    Good day. I just dropped you a message on your website. I’m kind of in shock that “greenhouse tomato” seeds are so expensive. What’s so special about them and can’t you harvest seeds?

    • @HomegrownPassion
      @HomegrownPassion  10 дней назад

      Thanks for your comment! Greenhouse tomato seeds tend to be more expensive due to their specialized breeding and unique traits that help them thrive in controlled environments. Harvesting seeds is possible, but it can be a bit tricky depending on the variety! Ill check the website for your message

    Do you run all winter or just late into December?

    • @HomegrownPassion
      @HomegrownPassion  2 месяца назад

      yes, we grow all year. We sell lots of produce in the winter to our CSA program because other local farmers can't grow all year long

    I started growing Johnnys defiant PHR totmatos and yeah they are pricey. At my rate its 1.14$ per seed. yikes.

    • @HomegrownPassion
      @HomegrownPassion  2 месяца назад

      Yeah, I don't get any break from Johnny's so I am paying the same. I do make lots of money from tomatoes, so I guess it's just one of the costs of doing business.
