That only means really weak roof armor, vulnerability to top attack. It might have half decent armor of a frontal arc, but that’s not too likely as you can kinda gauge lower hull armor by looking at where the two plates meet.
To be fair, the norks have one of the largest known deposits of uranium known to man: It could very well be made of pure DU. Its not like communist armor doctrine is known for its emphasis on the crew lmao
Given the lack of foreign resources and technologies available in North Korea, I can only presume that the design work and construction of these tanks has got to be like the military equivalent of an old game show from the UK called 'Scrapheap Challenge'.
To be fair; using the main gu to fire missiles is rather daft, as it reduces capacity for regular munitions, limits their size & thus potency, and is more complicated than just launching them as regular missiles.
It is a Chinese t55 upgrade with their fake armor upgrade lets be honest one these had a malfunction that blew up one these in Bangladesh because the breach didn’t seal
With the missile size it's also possible that they actually need a bigger warhead to compensate for the lack of penetration due to construction deficiencies / lower quality explosives.
More likely that the hydraulic system that is supposed to operate the stabilizer is underpowered. Or we could both be right and its just straight broken lol

4:36 North Korea can build intercontinental ballistic missiles I think they can build a tank (And yes the missiles do work and are more reliable than British)
I find it kinda of funny the thumbnail says the mini abrams that couldn't when South Korea's K1 tanks are ironically call the mini abrams.
You can see the tanks armor "thickness" (lack of it) with drivers head popping out and hach being thinner then a pot! 😂😂😂😂

Nice shirt my guy 👍
Can you make a video explaining more of Tank design and Parts of a Tank to a Rookie in the field?
I sure can
Props to having Disposal Unit playing in the background :D
With this level of engineering and craftsmanship, I'm surprised these tanks are not painted red.
No, I'd actually expect a higher level of engineering from Orks

Wouldn't surprise me at all to find out its made of pure cancer

the fact that it has to use ATGM shows how weak of a punch it main gun is

That wouldn't surprise me. Ive heard as little as 10% of the NK ammo sent to russia actually worked. The rest was out of spec
Might be fun to see how light a man potable weapon system can smoke that thing.

We all know what the 9k111's designated name is
Former 19K here. I have to agree this looks like tinfoil on tracks. But who know its so TOP SECRET! (coughs)
for traveling on a road like they show there is quite a lot of barrel bounce so i would guess no barrel stabilization

8:06 I approve of this joke.
Where's that clip of the north Korea diplomat from?
Iron sky
Wouldn't surprise me if those were just T60s with a body kit. NK is probably just LS swapping their rusty Soviet ordinance.
Well. Time to strategically transfer equipment to alternate locations.
A tank even thr T14 can feel good about!

6:50 do American tanks shot ATGM from the barrel ?
I don't recall any modern tanks in general that do that anymore. Gun launchers tend to not be very practical.

Still more successful than the T-14. And more likely to see combat in Ukraine....

It’s food people in North Korea are not starving
