You being a lifelong KISS fan you should obviously know this is not him sounding his best ever.I'm not taking shots at you just saying he sounded much better years ago. Hell,he sounds great doing this song on the MTV unplugged '96 version.

The reason this song is SO INCREDIBLY AWESOME……with the PASSION IT IS SUNG,is because it’s about his relationship with Donna Dixon….she called an end to it….and Paul was Devastated. Every time I hear this song…..even decades ago…..it still had that SAME PASSION! Paul is the #GOAT! No better front man ever!!!!! Born in 67…..so……INCREDIBLY FORTUNATE TO HAVE ENJOYED THE WHOLE RIDE! Kiss is one of the best live shows I ever went to. Saw them in the late 80s.
Heartbreak is such a powerful emotion. Sometimes it hurts so bad, you simply collapse and cry out from the pain. As Paul drops to his knees, I can hear his heart shattering. I still love you, too, Starchild...well done!
I know something about dropping to my knees and crying out the pain and it seems that no matter how much time really goes by my broken heart will never quite heal so I can understand what Paul Stanley is singing about I know that feeling and it seems so stupid in my case there are forces that have been allowed by one and only true love to come between us and there seems to be nothing that I can do about so my heart stays broken.
Well I can now say it was worth hanging in there for the one love of my life he wants me back full time and now all I have to do is sort out my complicated life over the next couple of months I know it is going to be hard but I know it will be worth it I am just very lucky and I have a lot of faith in Gods good tining. INCREDIBLE ! Paul has been incredible for as long as I've been alive ! (born in '74) so maybe Paul's been incredible longer than that.. The point is, excellent video, Paul sounds AWESOME, good quality !

joshgriffin1976 the difference is that this is in a club he can sing Comfortably and it doesn't have to scream. In an arena you have to scream to compensate for the loud crowd and all the noise. Things always go better when you don't have to scream.

Amazing song and this song shows how great Paul's voice use to be. I was able to see this live a few times.on the Animalize Tour. Paul's voice is so incredible. He holds that note forever and a day and his vocals are so strong .If not the best , he was definitely top 5 best front men in the history of rock. From a.strength of vocals standpoint I would say the unplugged versions better. Still an amazing performance but the unplugged versions was better. When I saw him do this live in cedar rapids, Iowa on the Animalize Tour , he was soo good .

I know the pain of a broken heart when you are truly and irreconcilability in love with someone when you really know that the other person is the right person for you but they pull away and break your heart and it does not seem to sink with the person that you are in love with as to how heart broken you are that is the hardest fact to deal and come to terms with and it sounds like Paul Stanley has a permanently broken heart and I know all about that it seems I am not alone so hang in there Paul Stanley and put that emotion into your singing and music your music skill will never break your heart and you are giving back to your fans with your experience and music so keep up that heart and soul that you put into your music.
