The idea to have make videos first on how to do handstands and now on how to do splits was a great idea! I used to watch gymnastics on tv as a child and practice in my backyard. I tried my best to copy their moves. I have never been able to do a handstand. But it's a goal I still have. And I can still the middle splits but am not able to do a full on front split where I'm resting on the ground anymore. I miss having that ability. So my goal is to regain that ability. I appreciate these videos because everyone can't do handstands or the splits. I uses to think everyone could lean over and touch their toes. I was shocked when I learned that wasn't true. I thought we were all flexible. But I took being able to do those things for granted. Thank you so much for making and uploading these videos. They mean so much to me. My apologies I don't recall your name I just call you CirqueLife guy. Because I told a lot of people about that handstand competition. I mean from current gymnasts, former gymnasts, physical therapists, friends to my sister (who could care less but I told her anyway because I enjoyed watching it so much and I'm used to her lack of interest in things I enjoy. Maybe watch "Emily Chu - every type of middle split" What I took away from that video was that those are different kinds of middle splits. Not an expert myself tho, I can only do a front split :D

Although my flexibility is not on par with hers, I still modify my stretches so that slowly, but surely, I’m activating those stretch muscles.

During middle split does it matter if the knees are facing up or forward? I’ve seen it down both ways so I'm confused.
