Not gonna lie, I was kinda expecting to see him get his head shaved.
But it was still fun to watch him go through the 5 stages of grief. ...man, that sounds sick...

Nah, buzzed means you use that auto-cutter thing with a guard on it to prevent the blades from touching skin itself. You can swap out the guard, with different numbers being set to leave the hair at different (but all still quite short) lengths. Shaved means you use an actual shaving razor instead. You'd probably want to buzz it first and then soak it and/or apply shaving cream before taking a razor to it.
@@PansyPops buzz cut is a number 4 (1/2 inch) or less, most commonly a number 2 (1/4 inch) in my experience. Dave's not wrong, but normally a challenge like this results in having your head shaved, not just trimmed to a short length.
4 on the sides and a 6 on the top is my normal cut, so yeah, like Amanda said... It was just a haircut 😁

A "buzz cut" isn't even a 0, it's regular clippers without a comb.
Also, regardless of regs, unit standards can be much more severe. Often unwritten, of course, but you'll get nailed for your "deportment and bearing" in fitreps if you don't comply. Used to be they'd just beat you up and/or hold you down to _give_ you a haircut, but they're not allowed to do that anymore.
From the amount of zooming in going on I'm guessing Twitch chat has just taught Dave how to use it.
