3 Spider-Men against Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Sandman, Electro, Rhino and Lizard on the Statue of Liberty. With the effects supervisors from infinity war and endgame. Should be a pretty visually striking movie.
@Parvis I'd say the emotions in this fight comes from what it represents if he fails. He doesn't know the real Beck and he doesn't care for the drones obviously, but if he fails this then that means his friends die AND his legacy is destroyed along with Tony Starks being hijacked by Beck's charade. You have to remember, this is a film saga that spans across not just Homecoming and Far From Home, but also Civil War, Infinity War and Endgame. In Infinity War & Endgame most prominently you get the most Stark and Peter chemistry with things like Peter getting dusted and Tony's sacrifice. Those all play into the ideas of this film and the stakes of this fight. Of course Peter has to move on and be his own hero, but he CANNOT forget who helped him achieve that and preserving his legacy is part of that respect. I also like to look at Peter destroying the drones with little care as sort of him moving on from under Tony's shadow, so much so that he's more than willing to destroy his stuff when in the first movie he tried his hardest to preserve Stark's property. You could also say that this is what REALLY made Peter worthy of being an Avenger, taking on entire army of faceless drones just like the end of every Avengers movie. On his own, for that matter. That's why I love this fight so much though, it's more than just cool set pieces and choreography, but it can also be seen from different emotional lenses to suit the themes you felt most heavily. Just because he doesn't have emotional ties with the villain (which I personally don't believe, but you do you) or that his Aunt isn't dying doesn't mean this is a bad fight. I prefer my fights to have multiple stakes that aren't thrown in your face, like someone's life being on the line or whatever, which is what every Spider-Man film has always been and it's repetitive as all hell. Plus, MJ, Ned, and Happy's lives are on the line in this battle anyway. What really makes it hit though is the fact he still loses. Even after all the effort he put in and all the mental and physical damage he had to repair, he still couldn't stop Mysterio from creating his own twisted illusion of himself and fool everyone into believing Peter was the perpetrator. Yet, this fight is still satisfying in a similar vein to how Infinity War has a satisfying ending despite Thanos winning. You're 100% allowed to have your own thoughts and beliefs on this fight and movie, but I do hope I did at least allow you to look at it from a slightly different perspective and hope you understand why I said what I said in my original comment ^^
@Parvis No emotional stakes? Half of this third act are the kids and Happy getting hunted down by Beck. If Spidey doesn’t get to Beck in time, Happy and his friends all die.
The most underrated thing about this movie is the use of the Royal Guards fighting back against the drones. It's something I've never seen used in ANY other movie.
I’m on a binge of Spider-Man clips and just watched the train scene from spidey 2 and all the comments are saying he relies on his suit to much in the new ones. I’m like bro he doesn’t use his suit for anything in this except for the taser webs in the start of the fight. This is all spidey figuring the best way to beat the drones while moving as fast as he can. He’s so creative in these movies with his webs and it annoys me that people can’t just enjoy the different movies. Like they all have thier great parts and flaws but we can enjoy them all for what they are.
Yes thank you for agreeing. Tom Holland's spidey movies are all about coming out of people's shadows. Homecoming:his reliance on stark and his tech Far From Home:Expectations from others and starks identity No Way Home:Will probably be when he fully becomes spiderman by taking tips from alternate versions from himself and becoming his own identity
I can’t believe I’m seeing somebody compare the spider man 2 train scene to this. I don’t even like the original trilogy very much but the train scene is gold, this is just Spider-Man destroying robots instead of going straight to beck.
I am going to answer this under the assumption that you do not read comics. He has low-level super speed. In the comics, he moves so fast that average humans cannot see him. Do you know Electro? He beats him a lot despite the fact that the dude shoots lightning (which is MUCH faster than a mere bullet). Plus, he can sense danger before it even happens, so he has much more time to react than anyone else. It is not just his speed that is great; his strength is incredible as well. He is no Hulk, but he can support a building like the Daily bugle. He is actually so strong, that if he didn't roll with ordinary people's punches, he would be breaking their bones as if they were punching a wall. He is not on the same level as Luke Cage when it comes to toughness, but he is definitely superhuman. His inhuman abilities make him capable of taking on multiple superpowered individuals, such as Villains (like the Sinister Six), or creatures (like a group of vampires). It has been shown that when he is careless, aggressive, or evil, he can heavily injure or kill even people who are super strong like him. A possessed Spider-Man ripped off Scorpion's jaw with a punch, Peter broke Iron Man's suit in one punch when he was angry, he gave a one-sided beating to Kingpin for shooting Aunt May (he made it verbally clear that there is a huge difference between a strong human and a superhuman, and then humiliated him as Peter Parker instead of Spider-Man), he accidentally killed an Iron Man villain called Crimson Dynamo (in a What if comic) by punching him too hard because he thought the armor would take it, etc.
Spider-Man is kind of above street tier in the comics. He’s faced plenty of cosmic beings before with his regular spider powers and beat them. He’s probably like mid tier, but Spider-Man never goes out and he hasn’t received much of a power boost, like all the other characters have been getting lately.
@@g.masterlordoftheg-force4770 i agree with everything you are saying and in the comics, spider-man is stronger than the hulk despite hulk being much bigger than him lol
@@TheOutlawLut Depends on which Spider-Man and what kind of power he has at the moment. Most Spider-Men and Spider-Women are nowhere near Hulk's strength. The Hulk has been shown to punch planets to oblivion, and even destroy entire dimensions, such as Umar's realm (Dormammu's twin sister). Peter could beat him in pure power if he had certain abilities he doesn't have access to anymore, such as the Uni-Power, which grants him the power of the God of Light known as the Enigma Force. This god-like Peter, Cosmic Spider-Man, could beat Hulk. Maybe. The regular Spider-Man's strength is, when pushed to his limits in an extreme situation, 100+ tons. When he isn't in a life-or-death situation, it's around 10 tons.
One of thing I really like about the new Spider-Man media is we get little scenes showing how strong he really is. He knocked out flash with a tap and manage to suspend a car with his wall crawling ability. In spider-verse, miles cracked a huge rock in a half with just lazy punch.

@@triggatrey2112 I really love spider-man and homecoming but uh... dude, this movie did a very shitty job in solidifying the character as his own. In fact it did the EXACT same arc as homecoming but worse. And come on. The plot danger revolves around him giving up the biggest help he could get from Iron man. Then he gets back up and overcomes it by getting aid from Iron Man’s “butler “ and builds his suit with stark tech on a stark jet....
@@danielz-v4083 The whole point of the movie was the weight of expectations on Peter / Spidey being "the next Iron Man" and continue Tony's legacy. Not to mention how Peter needed to take responsibility when he was actively avoiding it. To put it in perspective: Lots of people were expecting Spider-Man to continue where Iron Man left off after his sacrifice. The whole paparazzi scene in that charity event Aunt May was hosting captured how much anxiety Peter is going through and how Tony's death still affects him. It's not just his late mentor's shadow. Homecoming's arc was Peter thinking the whole superhero thing was a fun adventure -- a childish ambition he wanted to fulfill by becoming a full-time Avenger. The realization that it's not all fun and games and he could actually die for real helped him to stay being a "friendly neighborhood Spider-Man". Far From Home was continuing that with him avoiding the whole hero thing after Tony died, which he didn't want to, because he didn't feel himself suited to continue his legacy nor felt like he should be, but countless people were expecting him to and he barely had a choice other than just try to ignore it and pass it to someone else, which came back to bite him when he learned who Beck really was. He needed to stop avoiding his responsibilities as Spider-Man, while not trying to drown himself so much over people expecting him to be the next Iron Man. Happy puts it best himself: Peter will never be the next Iron Man. Him hearing just how much of a mess Tony was from Happy, despite being a superhero that billions revere after his sacrifice, was what Peter needed to hear the most -- He doesn't need to measure up to him, he just needs to be himself. He needs to be Spider-Man. The thing about Happy coming to Peter's aid is an improvement over how Happy treated Peter in Homecoming. You should know this. Happy is well-aware how Tony saw Peter like a surrogate son, so of course he'll be there for the kid if he needs help. Your nitpick about how Peter got back-up from Happy, building his suit with Stark Tech, IN a Stark Jet is an exaggeration. Tony left a ton of options for suits Peter could easily just pick and build. But he went his own direction and designed a suit using said Stark Tech, one that he knows would fit HIM. One that feels and looks more like Spider-Man than "Iron Boy". There's no trace on his new suit that shows it being a Stark design, unlike the Iron Spider from Infinity War and Endgame.
Both were good, the first one had less actions to showcase peters strength without the suit and this one was to show his spider sense.they r not rushing they r slowly showcasing peters growth
I find it really weird that a lot of people didn't like this one and that they prefer Homecoming. Homecoming I thought was a major disappointment, this one still has flaws but it's still a great movie.
@@BlueBlur2003 Exactly. In Far From Home, you see a mature version of Peter both with and without the suit. But when Peter puts on the suit in Homecoming, he literally becomes a quirky child and so does the humor. The only thing I liked about Homecoming was the Vulture being Liz's dad. I was 12 years old when I first watched Homecoming and when Spiderman failed to shoot a web and landed on the building, a bunch of 10 year olds laughed. I legit rolled my eyes.
3:51 the drones have incredible accuracy, but they can land a single bullet on Spidey…. Hardly a scratch. I was never able to get over that, how invincible Spidey is .
bruh you really don't get how acrobatic and fast spider-man is. spidey is one of the most op charactes in the marvel universe. he was heavily downplayed in both tobey and andrews versions
I love how we see Peter progress in these movies. In civil war he doesn't fight at all, and just defends if necessary, in homecoming he turns his villians attacks onto them, and in this one he uses the webs creativity and is more agressive towards the drones. He's gonna kickass in no way home for sure.
I feel like the MCU Peter will always be destined to like in the shadow of the Raimi trilogy, cause this scene is shit on but I don’t see what’s boring about it. Peter is using his head and maneuvers over his tech(like how he ensnared all the drones in a web after swinging under the top of the bridge to that web then lunging to the ground, destroying tons of drones at once, dropping a car on them, and hoping across some to make them shoot each other), even when he confronted Mysterio it wasn’t the tech that saved him, it was his Spidey Sense(or what this movie calls Peter tingle because no one in the movie has come up with the catchier name of Spidey Sense yet). The camera work is so shaky and lively and fun, sure we still don’t get the grit of the Sam Raimi Spiderman bleeding and shit, but it doesn’t look like Peter is completely fine here either. When the drones came down and blasted him with those sonic boom things(im not fully sure what they are)Peter gets sandwiched by two cars. And when he arrives to face Beck, the way he lands was awesome, just gripping him while standing on the ceiling ready to fight. He even gets the idea to bounce up to Beck by throwing a plush at a destroyed drone. I just really love this scene
The combat sucks if only he punched and kicked more but he hasnt gone against a heavy hitter yet maybe that's why. I hope we get scorpion on the big screen the venom before venom he use to beat the hell out of spidey worse than doc rock. We just need good combat sequence from him and he needs to be more independent he constantly in the shadow of Tony in his movies when hes more popular than iron man in the comics.
Jon Watts is such an underrated MCU director. Everyone (rightfully so) talks about the Russo Brothers, Ryan Coogler, Taika Waititi, etc. But, Watts managed to bring a great 3rd iteration of Spider-Man to the big screen and probably the most comics accurate Peter Parker. He killed it it with Homecoming, Far From Home, and I’m sure he’ll do great with No Way Home too.
Except he negated the fact that stark had nothing with him becoming spiderman and they negated the fact about uncle Ben too. Also left out the greatest part of why he's spiderman With great power comes great responsibility.
@@Slyone71787 you do know there’s a reason we didn’t get the whole Spider-Man backstory again right? We don’t want a whole movie dedicated to the story everyone knows already

@@JB-tt3wj Eh, it’s visually better than the Raimi movies. The effects in SM1 and SM3 suck, and SM2 is still somewhat constrained by the time period it was made in. This definitely looks like a 2019 movie; SM2 looks like early 2010s at best. I’m not denying the visuals in TASM are better though. Those are like the only redeeming factor of those movies.
I like to think of this as Peter uses less of the insane tech in his suit compared to his out of the box thinking and improvising while fighting. He doesn't rely on his suit completely, which is what Tony wanted from him in Homecoming.

Eagerly waiting for teamup of doc ock and electro
3 Spider-Men against Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Sandman, Electro, Rhino and Lizard on the Statue of Liberty. With the effects supervisors from infinity war and endgame. Should be a pretty visually striking movie.
@Parvis you clearly a spidey hater
Yeah I hate it when movies have a friendly side faction or whatever that's only there to get killed by the villian or hero
It's realistic, royal guards aren't something to take lightly in real life either

Marvel fans are literal dumbasses 🤣
I’m on a binge of Spider-Man clips and just watched the train scene from spidey 2 and all the comments are saying he relies on his suit to much in the new ones. I’m like bro he doesn’t use his suit for anything in this except for the taser webs in the start of the fight. This is all spidey figuring the best way to beat the drones while moving as fast as he can. He’s so creative in these movies with his webs and it annoys me that people can’t just enjoy the different movies. Like they all have thier great parts and flaws but we can enjoy them all for what they are.
Yeah, people are really evil.
Spider man community is the most toxic community
Yes thank you for agreeing. Tom Holland's spidey movies are all about coming out of people's shadows.
Homecoming:his reliance on stark and his tech
Far From Home:Expectations from others and starks identity
No Way Home:Will probably be when he fully becomes spiderman by taking tips from alternate versions from himself and becoming his own identity
I can’t believe I’m seeing somebody compare the spider man 2 train scene to this. I don’t even like the original trilogy very much but the train scene is gold, this is just Spider-Man destroying robots instead of going straight to beck.

Thermal cameras can't see through cold surfaces...
So without a doubt he’s the strongest street level hero. Watching this scene puts him on a god tier though. How do you dodge bullets like??
Cos he has da spidey sense

The movie proved that Peter Parker/Spider-Man is now his own man, he will handle situations his own way, and that he will be a perfect leader on the Avengers.

And come on. The plot danger revolves around him giving up the biggest help he could get from Iron man. Then he gets back up and overcomes it by getting aid from Iron Man’s “butler “ and builds his suit with stark tech on a stark jet....
@@SpFlash1523 nah he’s definitely not gonna be leader

Easily my second favorite scene in the movie, with the first being the illusion scene. Peter was giving it his all here.
3:06 that backflip was so good
I feel like the MCU Peter will always be destined to like in the shadow of the Raimi trilogy, cause this scene is shit on but I don’t see what’s boring about it.
