- If you're looking for a laptop without spending a lot of money then you may be interested in this Acer 311 Chromebook Review. There are always some compromises when buying a laptop that costs less than £200/$200. However, you'll be surprised just how good this laptop is for the price.
This is a perfect laptop for anyone looking to surf the internet, use social media, stream RUclips videos and get productive with word processing and spreadsheets.
The military grade certification for knocks and bumps also make this a great Chromebook for education. It's small enough to put in a bag and forget about it. It will also take a few knocks along the way without getting damaged.
This is what I love about Chrome OS. You would not get a laptop at this price running on another operating system that runs as good as this. For the price you really cannot expect anything else.

I’ve broken 3 chromebooks in the last year 😅 so I need something sturdy like this. No frills
Yes, if you've broken three Chromebooks in a year you definitely need something like this. Hopefully it will last you a longer time because it's pretty robust.
Another decent laptop from Acer. Display looks good plus the Kompanio chipset seems a good fit
Very good review 👍. Thanks.
Glad it helped, thanks.
nice video mate. love the specs and other features of this mediatek powered device.
Thanks
Reviewer really describes this Chromebook very well and is easy to understand and friendly!
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it.
On the drop test, I ran for the train recently and my C722 fell out of my bag and crashed onto the stone flags of Oxford station as I ran. A fellow passenger picked it up for me and it worked _fine._
That's great news to know it works in action. I bet you're glad you had a military grade Chromebook now.
Bought one in UK Sept 2021. Has excellent IPS touchscreen and can be used as a tablet.
I think the mediatek chipset in the Chromebook 311 seems very interesting one with the aspect of the processing power and also posses an improved design and great setup for regular usage.
Yes, touch screem in Canada!
Just ordered one just for simple personal use. Had to get the extra protection just for my heavy handed ways. My older Chromebook is having key problems (HP) and out of updates. Cheers from Minnesota.
Thanks, I'm glad it helped.
These are great laptops, sadly out of production now I think. The Linux VM runs just fine on them I have found. Nice review 🖖
Thanks
Cool x
Do you by chance know what the difference is between the Acer Chromebook Spin 311 CP311-3H-K23X and CP311-3H-K3WL. I am making my purchase today. Just want to know if there is a difference with these numbers/letters?
I'm not sure, hope you are happy with your new Chromebook.
How is the performance of the mediatek processor that powers this Chromebook?
It's perfectly fine for streaming videos, surfing the web and stuff like that. It isn't as fast as a medium spec Chromebook. For the money though it's fine.
When do the Auto Updates for ´Acer 311 C722' Expire? [AUE]
It's June 2028, which is really good.
You ride bmx too!?
Noice.
Can you install MS Word on this?
You'll be able to use ms word via Android apps. You may have to pay a subscription to use MS office.
Can i access remote connection?
Google docs is also available and it's free
My Chromebook spontaneously shuts down. I have to hold the power button for 15 seconds and it reboots, but I use it for work. There's the risk that it will shut down while I'm working remotely with colleagues. Otherwise it does what I need it to do for work, but because of this shutting down problem, I'll never buy another one.
That sounds strange. I can honestly say I've never had any issues like that with any Chromebook I've owned.
@@ChromeComputingTV It happened on two I've used, but different series and models. Both were Series CB514-1H, Model N18Q3, manufactured in December 2018. It's possible the problem has been corrected since then.
Acer products are always crap.
no, they're built for budget in general but you have to look at each device separately
