ultra looks good if you dress street/urban like (hoodies, oversized tees and so); which does seem to be your style. If you are more business casual, suite or more into slimft things, I think the 42 looks more classy

Finally a reviewer who wears the Apple Watch on the lower under arm instead of on the actual wrist joint 👍

42mm all the way. Been switching back and forth each year and the 42mm is definitely classier on my wrist.

Amazing review. I’ve always felt my watch was too big. The classier look and fit makes perfect sense.

I thought I was the crazy one, everyone around me keep telling me to get the 46mm. My wrist is 17cm and I thought it looks large, but your video helps alot. It should be minimal and classy, not in your face if you go with a bigger screen. I have my iphone for that.

Interesting perspective, I actually went for the 46 mm but sometimes I wish I had at least tried on the 42, I still think I would have went for the larger size though.

This was a great review for sizing a watch. If you want to wear a screen, the style of the ultra does it best. If you want to wear a watch, 42mm is where it's at.

Wrist size is 6.75"... have the S10 46mm Ti-natural... traded my U2 for it. Much more comfortable for me when running/biking... U2 felt a bit top heavy and I had to cinch it down pretty good to keep it snug on my wrist. Also, prefer the better battery life of the 46mm over the 42mm S10. Miss the more accurate GPS of the U2, but 5k runs are only 3-6 secs difference in terms of accuracy. Folks have argued about the durability of the sapphire glass, but I have Apple care. The sapphire glass is a lot harder to damage than I feel folks exaggerate it to be... speaking from experience with my S7 Ti I had (gave it to my daughter). Battery life of the S10 46mm gets me through the day even when using cellular biking/running for around 30mins to an hour. My past series 8 was not getting through an entire day. I actually was running a Garmin for battery life and switch back to the Apple Watch when the Ultra series was released. After testing the S10 and experiencing the battery life, it got my attention. Another argument I get is the battery health lasting longer on the U2. I get it... longer battery life... I charged it everyday anyways, but once more... I have Apple Care and can just get the watch swapped out with any issues. By the time I am ready to upgrade, the battery health will likely be more than fine as I have experienced in the past with my usage scenarios. The watch straps seem to stand out more with the S10 as the U2 just dominates the wrist. I wouldn't mind reconsidering another Ultra in the near future... it was an awesome watch, but I like the comfort of the S10 for day to day use with something strapped to my body 24/7 outside of the quick charges. Watch straps stand out more and the watch blends into the wrist versus protruding significantly and getting caught on long sleeves, etc. One other experience worth mentioning... the U2 would get gnarled edges on the titanium surrounding the sapphire crystal... non-issue with the curved sapphire glass, which like I mentioned previously... it is more than durable enough... and holds up better aesthetically in my experience. My home has three pristine sapphire glass Apple Watches (series 7,8, and 10) which get roughed up hear and there and look immaculate with no scratches or flaws (in the sapphire glass... cases have micro scratches that buff out)... they've been a good experience and have been tested well beyond day to day use. To clarify, my 11 year old has the series 7 Ti with sapphire, my wife took over my series 8 (stainless with sapphire), and I use the Series 10 (Ti with sapphire), which is the first watch in the series line up to get through an entire day of my usage (battery life), which is why I migrated back from the U2 and no longer need the Garmin.

also thinking about the 42 but i’ve already amassed quite a collection of bands for the larger apple watch. that’s another round of spending if i switch to the smaller size.

Hi! You can buy separately the conector to the watch and change it. Not possible with sport loops, but on leather and other kinds of bands you can.
      They are very cheap.

I believe the Apple Watch screens are small enough (and so are iPhone screens so I usually go Pro Max for the phones). So I opted for the 46mm S10. I feel like this differs from the iPad and Mac, which already have large screens and can be connected to external monitors. But the watch is already quite small, so I always prefer the largest option, especially considering my poor vision. Additionally, I engage in regular exercise and health tracking with the watch, and having a larger screen makes it easier to read the time , heart rate, distance , gps, and other information. Plus, it’s only $30 more.

I recently became the owner of a new iPhone watch 10 42mm, so far I am pleased. If I wasn’t on a budget I would probably got the biggest size Apple watch. I appreciate your well done informative review on the Apple Watch 10 thank you. Do you use a screen protector for your Apple watch? What’s your thoughts on replacement sport waist bands that offer protection to the Apple watch? 🤔

Went with the 46! No regrets! Better battery life than the 42 and half the weight and much thinner than the ultra series.
You can’t sleep properly with the ultra 2 coz it’s bulky and because it’s heavy, it moves around more than the series 10 which gives a slightly less accurate reading.

Just upgraded my series 5 to ultra 2, 2024 and I’m thinking of returning it and grabbing a normal casio watch instead. I don’t use it for workout or any sports so it’s a bit useless for me. I like being able to control my music but my phone is with me anyways .

    • @tristanhawkins8699
      @tristanhawkins8699 2 месяца назад +1

If you are not using it for workouts, then I’d definitely return it and save your money. Might as well just carry on using the series 5.
I’m still using a series 3 and debating what to upgrade to. Series 10 is the obvious choice but I’m tempted to save some money and get a series 9. There isn’t really much difference other than fast charging.

I use the Ultra bands (Ocean Band, Trail Loop, and Alpine Loop) on my Series 10 46mm and they look good in my opinion. They fit well/fine. The Ocean band looks better on the S10 (orange) in my opinion than on my U2 I owned... this is obviously objective, but sets the tone a little.

wish they still had the 44 dont know why they skipped that now i have to choose and while your vid is an excellent breakdown, here are my two dilemnas; i'm not 'large boned' and i prefer the smaller, classier look but im a bit 'concerned' when you mentioned about the screen being so much smaller, vis a vis reading i only use glasses for reading, and wondering how the 42 will affect me gues i need to actually go to an apple store and not order online ....
    great breakdown btw

I think I will buy in addition to my Ultra 2 also a Series 10, but 42 mm - I want to also have the most comfortable and unnoticeable to wear Apple Watch, especially when wearing a white suit shirt or sleeping with the watch on.
