As a Dedede main, and a very close Mewtwo secondary, I love you, lmao. For any aspiring Dededes out there, the simple truth to playing him effectively is to open your third eye and see the future. When you can achieve oneness with the universe is when Dedede becomes a juggernaut in the smash scene.
I just won an in person bracket running solo dedede without dropping a game after joking for years that my dedede was secretly my best character so now i’m here trying to add him as an official secondary.
Kinda typical: watched your guide, not to become a Dedede specialist, but play him a few hours until I understand its fundamentals, just so I stop dying ridiculously against him :D For this, you have my thanks :)

A good tip to enable. If you’re new to King Dedede and want to main him, *I recommend enabling stick up to jump because at some point you’ll use down-b* . Unless you have jump on L or R button or ZL or ZR or some other button make it easy to hold down b and jump and time it. Also, after you reach 100%, you won’t take any damage (also shows this in the character tips).
There are actually 4 ways to gordo ! You also can use C stick to change a bit the Gordo direction, not much but just enough to make your up throw gordo's (with C stick) GODLIKE for edgeguarding

hi! you forgot to mention that you can hold down right after initiating d3's up b to pass ledge which can definitely be used to catch your opponent off guard
I play dedede because A. He’s a meme, but more importantly, B. He’s a meme with some validity as a threat. I just love how I can learn a character that has the potential to crush all confidence in his opponents if played correctly. It’s less about how good he is as a character and more about the physiological damage dealt to the opposing player when I am able to manage to suck someone off the stage to get a stock and/or land a fully charged rocket hammer cambo, or my favorite, the Dedede spike from Gordo after shield break. Also funny penguin has big hammer that do big swing….
so i use the super dedede jump really often which yes can be bad ive pulled off a dedede jump spike and burrow my opponent immediately going into up air it works super well at medium to high percents with me at least but if it does work for anyone else then good for you this guide to playing dedede is very helpful

Dedede can inhale and reflect Pyra's Blazing End,so keep that in mind. 👍 Also,try to launch them far offstage,Pyra and Mythra have garbage recovery options.
Its a ddd tech called BIRD,and yes,you have to buffer the uptilt during the animation of succing them in, or when they are mashing ddd will shake, you can also buffer it there.
It is not a confirm, more of a frame trap. The short side of it is that they are force to pick an option to avoid the uptilt after inhale. If they footstool you can follow up with upair. If they air dodge just punish it accordingly like ftilt, and if upB then shield then punish after. That was the short explanation of bird, there a lot more that can go indepth but that is what you mostly need to watch out for when using the tech. Just pick up on their habits.
"Front Smash is an incredibly unsafe attack." Literally what. There's like zero recovery on this move, wtf are you talking about. If you know you're not getting hit on start-up you can literally just let them rip in neutral as a bait. People run at it and get tilted like 100% of the time.
There's a really great Dedede youtuber D3nsity that does this, it's always funny to see how many people get hit by that bit of extra range on his Fsmash.

If you haven’t read character tips, holding up or down on the left stick before throwing the Gordo is handy.

Well aimed gordos invalidate pythra completely off stage, especially pyra.
Keep your space and as soon as he dashes into you punish by predicting the future land a side smash and throw gourds of the edge
