The whole post-apocolytic side of the game is all fine and dandy, but I was always more fascinated by the pre-war side of the game. I loved the beginning part of fallout 4, though it's a shame it didn't last very long.

It's funny how prewar commercials knew exactly what mutants would exist after the war. It's almost as if they had already created these creatures using FEV before the war. Hmmm.

One thing i love about FallOut the most is that it's basically the futuristic 50's-60's. They have advanced technology, but they still use 50's styled clothes, cars, houses, TVs, music and etc.

For the most part, that’s Bethesda/Obsidian. The first one (FO2 ad) was a real PSA film IIRC

I adore the Fallout 3 commercials. They are so authentic and true to the 1950's style that they could blend in to a line up of real life vintage 50's ads. The "Go Metro" ad is particularly brilliant with the music and smooth, friendly voice narration.
I love the artstyle as well

The analog horror of some of these is incredible, and some are just awesome because most of them are not even made with CGI.
The one with all the creatures is very analogue horror esque

can't say it really worked...I opened one of those up in Fallout 4...got ripped apart by a Feral Ghoul
snakes3425 Bunch of bones laying about in front was probably fighting to death who gets to go in. Most are tombs.
snakes3425 it works against the initial blast, but the radiation still affects you, that's why there was a ghoul there. Hope I've helped :)

Well, youbmay use Paddle balls only if you are being creative enough to kill them.
The worst part is that the paddle ball weapon can be super overpowered if you mod it correctly.
They put them in 76 too, but nerfed them to joke weapons.

The pipboy is removable and is not grafted into your nervous system. How else does it allow clothes to slide under it?

That one about the Timmy blowing up his bully and killing them is so on the dot. It’s like a real controversial old ad. Think about how terribly it would have ahead of it were a real tv ad.

While I was waiting for fallout 4 to download, the "special" videos were playing on repeat. Almost like I was watching it on tv!
For anyone wondering about the mutants. In fallout 76 you can visit West Tek and they were making mutants with FEV before the bombs fell. You can fully explore the place and see super mutants in tube tanks showing how they were grown

When I first got into Fallout, I was given Fallout 4 as a gift. I was unsure if I’d like the game, but as soon as the SPECIAL series played in the loading screen, I knew I was gonna love it.

The Ads slowly become less convincing as 50's style ads over time it seems
Spartains Yeah but they're also meant to be in the time around 2080 and higher. So while the tech in Fallout is based on the 50s we also have to consider that they could have adopted and changed slightly more.

@@veritateseducational217 True I like those a lot. But for instance, when they talk about brahmins, ghouls, molerats and all, it doesn't really explain how could they know about them.
Theory 1: War didn't cause the mutation, but it was those bastards at Vault-Tec and not just the supermutants, but all of them.
Theory 2: Those videos aren't supposed to be lore friendly and are made more for the player rather than actually fit in the universe. Since they predict the future.
I'd personally go simply with theory 2. Since again, there's literally same problem with F4 ads and even others.

the fact that the fallout universe has advanced fusion, robotic, bio mechanical, and weapons technology but no good editing, color tv and decent acting is beyond me
It’s an interesting and silly timeline it’s based in. Basically most funding went towards technology and military prowess while style and entertainment remained the same

That is actually from the closing teaser of the "prepare for the future" ads. It was just a big flickering channel surf that happened to show a GB ad in it that was very short.

The ad at 11:25 seems like it would be a post-war ad possibly put together by someone or some group in a vault. I imagine some vault which sent out teams of researchers and scavengers out into the wasteland to research life outside the vault and to gather supplies and technologies to make vault life easier, and after researching and discovering the creatures that inhabit the wasteland and returning to the vault this tape was made as part of a training course for those in the vault preparing to leave to inform them of what they should expect to encounter out in the wasteland.
It just doesn't strike me as a prewar ad because I don't think even Vault Tec would be able to accurately predict the types of mutated creatures that would exist in a post-nuclear wasteland.
Normally I hate ads on RUclips....but this is one of the few exceptions lol
