If I wanted to leave the sky but adjust everything else, could you invert the sky selection and do the same layer process thereafter……

Another good video Anthony. I have a dilemma, hoping you can offer suggestions or even do a video on it. I recently shot an Air Show (UK). When Shooting old propeller driven aircraft, as you probably know, they need a slow shutter speed so the prop is blurred. The sky was mostly grey, which I would like to change. The problem is how do I select aircraft AND blurred prop, so when new sky is imported it shows through the prop blur??? Thanks in anticipation.

I have a hard one! I need to replace a sky in a photo of Old Faithful! I just need to replace the sky in Photoshop, but NOT replace the white steam cloud of the geyser. How do I do that?

As I prefer and am better skilled in Lightroom, for years I've made a duplicate then processed one image for the sky and one for everything else. I use a combination of global and local filters, processing each image with complete disregard for how the processing affects the rest of the image. After finishing the two, I open them as Photoshop layers and blend them.
I admit I don't do this often anymore, not since Lightroom's addition of masks, but it is a good technique, a simple technique, that offers good results.
But now I have another way to adjust the sky, and as my Photoshop skills are improving, I'll give this a try. Thanks, Anthony, for another useful video. And nice job on recovering the statue sky.

Another good video. I've also been using Select Sky to delete the sky and reveal the exposed-for-the-sky sky underneath. Is this ok or is it better to blend my two exposures?
