- Photoshop and Lightroom have come a long way, when it comes to their selection and masking tools. The automatic sky selection feature is one of the new tools and most of the time it does a decent job.
But if you look closely, you'll notice that these selections are seldom perfect. Now, if the sole purpose of your photography is uploading to Instagram, you don't have to worry. But if you like to enjoy your photos printed or even sell them, you should put in a bit more work and ensure that your masks and selections look how you intend them to.
In this video I show you a few techniques I use to improve the automatic sky selection in Photoshop, to achieve superior results.

The Bali image - lovely! I'm pretty sure I was there too when I was there 6 years ago. But I forgot the name of the place :D
Saraswati Tempel in Ubud. Bali ist toll
@@mibreit-photo absolut. Ubud fand ich am besten! Und einige Wasserfälle waren der Wahnsinn
Also, try adding a levels adjustment to the mask.
Select the Mask, cmd/ctrl L to create a Level adjustment
Works like a dream on the whole mask.
