Girl i just wanted to tell u that im finally in med school and im having a really tough time but seeing that u also have tough days sometimes really helps me feel like im not alone on this difficult path cuz usually all seniors and social media doctors make it seem so easy 😭😭 thanks for being real with us ❤️❤️❤️ we love u 😍 keep being awesome sis!!!
You got into medical school for a reason. It is because you are intelligent, image the amount of people who don’t get in, you made it!, also you are meant to help heal, it is an honor to be able to help and heal others and a hard road but as Rachel has shown us it is worth it. And if you end up changing your path, that is okay also as long as you are happy
Elenor Roosevelt said “no one can make you feel inferior without your consent”. I think that perfectly explains what you were talking about, how were all responsible for our own feelings, as well as our own actions, really. 🙂

Dental student in the house! Thankful for your videos!! ❤ no doubt the process of getting through this kind of education is a marathon of highs and lows. Thank you for documenting how it really is. I have been in the same boat as you so many times over the last two years, and I feel so uplifted by someone willing to show all the questions, tears, and thoughts that go on.
I love the quote you mentioned. I agree that how something makes us feel depends on how we choose to let it affect us and how we deal with it. Although it's totally fine to let something make you feel down and just experience the emotion sometimes, like when stress levels get sky high. I love how you show the world that that is indeed okay :D Another rule I try to live by is the "5 by 5 rule of happiness": if something is not going to matter in five years, then don't spend more than 5 minutes being upset about it, for example failing an exam or embarrasig yourself. This really helps me to put things into perspective when I am about to overthink. Anyway, love your video's, I always look forward to them and it makes me feel like we're just all in this together
I have had a week off so I'm trying to watch all the videos you posted.. I can't tell you enough, how strong are you! I feel you feeling isolated.. it sucks. Tysm for keeping us updated, will always send you good vibes from the other side of the world haha 🥰
Going back to watch your rotation vlogs as I go through each of them myself!! Currently in week 4 of OMM with a COMAT on Friday! Hearing you say you're doing "80 sets" makes me aware I need to step it up and not just curl into a ball and fall asleep after rotations
Hi Rachel, this is just a little appreciation comment. Have been following you since day 1 of your med school journey and have seen you work so hard. I love your videos. I feel so proud to see how far you have come and must say you inspire me a lot. Thank you so much for putting so much effort for us. Hope you get all the success, happiness that you truly deserve and yeah just stay happy, love ya.💞
You're amazing, Rachel. As much as you miss OB/GYN, try to get the most out of this rotation! You'll look back and be happy you did. Keep up the hard work! ❤
God loves you all so much...more than you will ever be able to understand. He's with you no matter what's going on, and He will never walk away from you
keep working hard. i still have a long way of me going into med school but i enjoy of how tough you are and getting through. i have problems of school back then and realized that its not to late for me. You will be a good doctor. keep it up and have a bless day.
thanks for keeping it real Rachel! and I agree, how you feel is how you feel and it's important to come to a point where you accept it's a reflection of you moreso than them.
I appreciate the tip and I love this video! ❤️ I have this male friend that brags a lot about himself and his grades, and it makes me very irritated to hear him all the time, to a point that I don't even want to talk to him anymore. I do have to say it is hard to apply that tip when you value the person and their opinions. If that person that you value says something you might find it hurtful, then you will get upset, especially coming from that person.
Looks like you met a few fur friends during this rotation 😄🐱🐶. Love your hair dark btw, your skin glows. Something fun about me is I'm graduating from nursing school in one week! Love your blogs!!
I’ve been watching your channel since I was a premed dreaming of being in your shoes and now I’ve just finished M1 😊 thank you for being honest about the highs, lows, and everything in between. You really help people to understand what it’s like, and we love following your story!
Man this is crazy. I just finished the semester and have been off of work for a few days and it wasn’t until I kept checking my phone for a new vlog that I realized these only come out once a week. 🤦🏿♂️I’m addicted
I'm currently a UK student at college trying to get my A Level grades to get to my dream med school and I am feeling the pressure a lot right now. In my head I think moving to go to med school will be a fresh start for me, but I also know that it's gonna be HARD, but thanks to you I'm learning lots of different ways to deal with my stress! You're such a huge inspiration and motivator for me to keep working hard when I'd rather be doing anything but studying! At least none of us are alone :)

Thanks for this vlog, Rachel! I will be moving away soon as well and I am worried about feeling everything you are explaining. However, it’s very comforting to see that you are going through the same thing! Here for you!
Oh The Great Rachel ✨🌷again hit me with a pretty good lesson on how to coop with changes be responsible, hardworking and stay on track with such challenges you are unique🔥
i’m about the take the finals for the most difficult classes of my life (immunology, biochem, and mol bio) this week and my head has been completely empty. just no thoughts, no absorption. i’m scared, but re-watching some of your vlogs are giving me hope that i’ll pull through.
It's not always going to be Gumdrops and Lollipops in Life! More importantly it is how we handle those times when we have to munch on a Sour Ball from time to time that will shape our character and bring out our true colors. It's a learning process as we adjust to the different "Tastes" too! Very Much Appreciate the Honesty and Real you share with your Fans Rachel. Can't be easy either when it's affecting you too. I’m a med school student in my second year in Saudi Arabia (it’s take 7 years to be a doctor here) and tomorrow my first day after Eid vacation (religious celebrations) and I really don’t want to go back my power is dead I’m afraid that I won’t do well at my final block in this year, I just want summer to come as fast as possible to be done and go back to my normal life
yess a new video.... nothing makes my day like any updates from you...and just do whatever you can do and enjoy your rotations don't stress yourself over vlogging it's ok to slow down a bit sometimes anyways we love you ❤️and thankyou for another awesome video 😊

Rachel, I think you did a good job with the mini move and just little longer n you'll get to bring the babies into the world and all that good life starting stuff! Have to say the cat and dog were good extras :) . Medicine rules, not a doctor, but i've lived medicine as a patient. Keep on truckin girl, your super strong, and red ants rule!
Video idea: Please film a workout video. I used to study with your pomodoro videos. It would be cool if I could excercise with you. I love your channel. Lots of love from Slovakia. 🥰
Surprised you aren't excited about this rotation. OMM/OMT is a major separator between DOs and MDs, right? It's a valuable skill to bring to OB/GYN. After thinking about this more, IMO the number of DOs should be equal to or greater than MDs. It's crazy how many are suffering because the latter thinks almost exclusively in terms of drugs to mask symptoms and surgery.
Hold on, you've been talking for a few minutes and I still can't get over that adorable and sweet GSD 😍 must go play with pupper. And the friendly kitty too. When I was in highschool I had to walk a few blocks from the bus stop to the school and there was a playful cat who would wait for me in his driveway so we could play for a few minutes. Another friendly cat who just wanted pets on another street. Then I'd continue walking and right by the school there was a dog I'd pet every morning too. She was a bit of a wild child and would jump the fence sometimes and get into the school. People were afraid of her because she was large and would jump and was mouthy but it only took one time for me to teach her not to be mouthy with me. I would just call her over to walk her back home.
Video suggestion: pls do a video on pelvic pain conditions (vaginismus, vulvodynia, vestibulodynia etc.) no one ever talks about this and as someone going into ob/gyn I hope that you will learn about these conditions and be able to support ppl through them. my dr told me it was in my head. I think you could make a huge impact on a lot of people w a video about this. pls consider it.
I know this video is from 9 months ago but I often go back to these videos and try to look at you adapting to new situations/any stress and try to like take inspiration from that and convince myself I can do it too. I moved back home after finishing medical school & working a year as a junior doctor overseas. I am a non U.S. img so I’m studying right now to take the step1 while I wait for my medical officer job placement in my home country. But I’m having such a hard time adjusting being back home after being away for 7 years and I know I sound like I’m ungrateful? But I don’t know man. Anyone with experience/similar experience please tell me how you got through adjusting and feeling at ease and not on edge so I can find my flow to study productively and just be not feeling out of place…. It’s such a strange thing to feel
I have a question about the jingle at the end… “Hopefully I’ll make it up in one piece… Maybe two” Does it mean you’re gonna be broken afterwards or does it mean you’re gonna find somebody? Sorry I have been watching your videos for a long time but don’t know this part and have been really curious. Much love! ❤️
can you talk about the financial side of med school? As someone who is applying next cycle, I have always wondered how med students survive especially having to rent an Air bnb for a month.
