A plea deal means you’re pleading guilty to the crime for possibly less time so you don’t have to go to trial.
Cooperation deal means you’re giving up information for lesser time.

9 out of 10 he gave a statement in return for a plea deal. Plea deal doesn't mean you have to testify or cooperate with the investigation. He just gave a statement and took his deal. They didn't need him to testify because the other guy agreed to testify (COOPERATION AGREEMENT). The Co-D testimony plus Boom statement would have been enough for a conviction so the DA prolly didn't press Boom to testify and risk him changing his mind about the statement.

The difference from the cooperation agreement and the plea agreement (I am not sure speculating) could be that Ahdi decided not to testify and just pleaded out (like they say your words can be used against you.. he could have said/snitched still but didn't cooperate when it came time to testify) and maybe the other dude actually testified and made an agreement. The difference between plea agreement and cooperation agreement is. A plea agreement is changing your plea from not guilty to guilty and admitting that the states charges against you and your co defendants is true, in return the state will give you the minimum or certain amount of time allowed for you charge instead of going to trial and losing and getting the max. A cooperation agreement is the same thing but also agreeing to take the stand for the state if they need you to at the other co defendants trail if they need you to.

Plea agreement ... is an agreement to make a “plea”. In the court of law, a plea is your formal declaration/decree of GUILT or INNOCENCE to charges brought upon your persons. You could AGREED to PLEAD no contest/guilty to lesser chargers and not have to cooperate AT All and avoid the risk of trial, which of course brings guideline sentencing in the event of a guilty verdict. A cooperation agreement is just that...an agreement to cooperate with with the prosecutors to assist with...well prosecuting all charged parties to the fullest extent of the law in exchange for a “lighter” sentence. Said all that to say, a plea agreement is definitely not a cooperation agreement. You could plead out on a case with no Co defendants. I have. 🤷🏾♂️
