Thank you for the very clear and concise instructions. I am not doing the repair obviously, but Nissan dealership is. I have an understanding of most of this so I know what they need to do. It helps me to understand the scope of the work. I am a retired CDL driver, and have always been interested in what make my tour buses tick. Thank you. A great blast from my past!
Thank you for this video. Got to fix my sister's car this weekend. Parts are roughly $60.00. Looks like you are saving her 1800.00. Got to say that others dudes cost was crazy high.
hey Roy, i love your video, BUT i need to ask about the rubber grommet looking cap at the end of the ignition coil, at 2:58 in the video. I took my old coil out, and it didn't have that rubber on it, and the new one did have the extra rubber cap, and would not plug in, so i easily removed that rubber, and that is when it fit. I am working on a 2012 sentra, but i don't think that rubber cap is suppose to be on there unless it's meant for a different year sentra? Just curious what you think.
It is absolutely not suppose to be like that, you’ll have to remove that rubber piece probably with some sort of pick, it’ll be hard but it’ll come out. Hope that helps and thanks for watching 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
That sounds a little on the high side, maybe they did other work on top of the coils and spark plugs? Is your daughter possibly getting it replaced at the dealership? I do know the dealership is much more expensive. If anything you can always ask for an itemized receipt. I do know that the cost parts and labor going up due to the current pandemic, so that might definitely have an impact on that. Thanks for watching 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Thank you soooo much for this. It is THOROUGH and REALISTIC. That car is something else.
three minutes into the video I clicked the thumps up and commenting.. thank you big bro. let me continue watching now..😊

OEM parts are very expensive. each one of those coils from Nissan is $185, and the labor is also proportionately expensive.

@@RoysGarage808 did you change the gasket?
How long did the total process take? A few hours?
Thanks Roy
My daughter in San Marcos Tx is paying almost $1,899 to have them change . It must be difficult to change spark plugs and coils .

Great thank you
What spark plugs did you use.
Throttle body need to be reprogram?..
Didn't see you put the rubber seal gasket between the engine and the intake when you put the intake on you didn't put that intake seal in place..
good catch. I dont know if he later realized that or realized after he saw a lot of oil leak.
Very in depth thank you for this helped so much👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
gasket? Toruue ?
I noticed you didn't torque anyone of the bolts and spark plugs to Nissan's specs...
What size gap are the sparkplug
No need to gap the plugs. They come gaped. 🤙🤙🤙
Also if I unplug the throttle body to clean it should I go through the relearn process for it
@@RoysGarage808 thanks
@@RoysGarage808 how many hours taking to replace spark plugs?
I would never buy a car that has an engine like that again
You didn't put the gasket ring back on
Replacing the intake gasket is an option. If the gasket looks good, reuse it, if not replace it or if you want to change it you can.
