Interesting that Serral at the start of his all in decided to kill a bunch of OVs to supply block Shin. That move I think is what giving him the opportunity to stage a comeback.
Back in BW, it was mannered to say a little "hi" when the overlords met in the middle of the map. I was always a little sad that this tradition didn't carry over.
Serral faking multiple "move outs" just to buy the precious 30 seconds to get Hydras and took no damage was insanely brilliant spur of the moment thinking
Yeah, I would have ignored the roaches and killed drones and the base. I'm already all-in with Mutas at that point, and I'm on top of their base, so -- likely because I'm a bad player -- I'd be willing to race.
Shin is RagnaroK!? and I thought all this time after I came back to lowko's channel that there was a new player that was totally on fire! I'm happy for him
Seems like there were opportunities for roach burrow micro towards the end. Yes, there was an overseer, but burrowed roaches will have lower priority and Shin would probably not target-fire them.
2nd game, Lowko: "Despite losing the fight serral still has a bit of a drone advantage" -> Serral: Loses fight and still has more supply, more drones, more army supply. As though shin's just not even playing the game.. or Serral always somehow has a bit extra suspiciously.
Lowko, haces videos geniales pero, recomiendo que coloques en la pantalla la cantidad o tiempo restantes habilidades que se desarrollan y las unidades que se van perdiendo. Ejemplo, pérdida de trabajadores. Saludos
That final push was such a weird decision. My dude you have enemy units in your bases eating up drones and yet you commit to the attack? Why? It could only work when you already have an overwhelming advantage and means to finish the game quick. Not when you and the opponent are about the same army and economy and with units that had to dance for ages before anything happens.
I love this channel but how's serral having less economy but making twice as many units. Like why is Shin making nothing in the fight at 12 mins but Serral's continuously making hydralisks the entire time. Like do pro gamers not practice? I feel like it's pretty important to keep making units and that starcraft players practice that with control groups. Is serral good or do other players throw so serral can win?
Baneling block with the Roaches is what won Serral g1 Makes me wonder why players don't research Burrow in ZvZs, such an impactful tool, especially for the Muta user That game would've equalized immediately with just a few Baneling bombs at his main ramp detonating under the Hydra assault
Serral unfortunatedly has lately been looking more human than earlier. Clem has really given him a beating lately. Hope he gets his stuff in check and we see some crazy serral stuff like in the past
Has Serral been looking more human, or has Clem found a playstyle that works against him for now? The last time Serral lost a series to anyone but Clem was January 16 2024 to Maru. He didn't lose a series to a single zerg or protoss player in 2024. He lost a single group stage series to Maru, and 5 series against Clem. Clem, on the other hand, hasn't looked quite so invulnerable against other players, just Serral
He keeps improving, his d is usually top tier (w/exp;), but he has a lot of weaknesses in his attack, mainly having to do w scouting, imo. Once committed to Roach/Hydra, esp. against Muta, you gotta keep the Roach count up or you melt to lingbling. He does continue to improve, of course, illustrating the advantage of a ground build over an early air, but he diddle fucks around trying to draw fire: he just crosses the map here he wins, burrow drones, and Queen spore defends, Shin has to go back and defend or lose his economy. I liked the wolf's early ling bane play, and while I thought doubling down was a mistake, Serral made it work somehow, but Shin defended well and pulled out ahead. GG's 🎉
@@DrLife121Clem plays like Serral against Serral: constant steady pressure, esp. drops, and nothing goes through bio faster, buildings incl. faster than stim MM. Serral is best Z at defending, but Z is not a defensive race, without many built in or cost effective advantages of P & T, flying Planetaries, photon batteries, etc., most your defensive options are concentrated in Queens, knitting needles and transfuse. 🎉
@@SD-jf7nb Yeah and when was the last time Zerg actually got a buff in a balance patch? The last one seemed to finally buff Protoss, a very slight nerf to Terran turtling with something to make up for it, and a general nerf to Zerg with nothing to make up for it. All because one person is insanely good with said units. Much easier to defend and make a comeback later on than failing to wing early and probably losing later. Especially when talking about the pro level, because the chances of making mistakes gets smaller. Zerg could really use a late game unit.
Serral just loves to play late game, but Zerg can't win against Terran in late game if they have not dealt immense damage already. Clem's style just counters Serral's in early and mid game, preventing Serral from dealing the required amount of damage, and Terran is a literal cheat in late game. Serral destroys everyone else, while Clem gets destroyed by Protoss and Zerg like MaxPax, Reynor, and Rogue, and also a few top tier Korean Terran players. It's not even a debate who the better player is. The talks about Clem being the GOAT can start in 3-4 years from now IF he starts to dominate like Serral did since 2018.
Interesting that Serral at the start of his all in decided to kill a bunch of OVs to supply block Shin. That move I think is what giving him the opportunity to stage a comeback.
it prevented Shin from making 40-60 zerglings, which should have been more than enough to supplement the mutas against the hydras
1:58 who else does think that overlords greet each other like motorcyclists when passing ?
Back in BW, it was mannered to say a little "hi" when the overlords met in the middle of the map. I was always a little sad that this tradition didn't carry over.
That was one of the most dynamic ZvZ games that I have ever seen.

22:18 he saw 3 base 6 gas. That screams muta
Shin has stepped up his game immensely in the last couple of years, but Serral is on another realm.
Serral showed once again why he is the GOAT.
"Hydras have no stim packs" I mean, they kinda do now!
I would love to see a map with only golden minerals just to see how aggressive the game will get
You want Terran players to have even more advantages?
They will be unbeatable with only two bases even if the others have 4-5 bases.
@OnigoroshiZero they never said it would be balanced, just that he wants to see the aggression
@@OnigoroshiZero dont mules return a consistent amount of minerals regardless of what kind of mineral patch it mines?
@@colinlee2904 Yeah mules will return the same minerals with or without golden minerals. Which means that the other races have a better advantage.
one reason for me Ragnaros name change to Shin was good- It made good personal katakana cheat sheet.
First game was wild!
I love your channel.Yes I listen to it and I am driving and listening to it right now
Thanks for the video, Lowko. Serral getting pushed to the limit? Sounds like he was born for this moment. ❤

"the new old base that never died'
Normally when you put two men in a mirror match they both got a 50/50 chance of winning, but serral's a genetic freak...
YEAHH, finally, a mirror match again!
That g1 was winnable, serrals reputation got him that gg
That roach block gyatdamm
Sick games.
Aw. Missed the final engagement of muta vs hydra in game #1
Do you think serrals overlords brag about it in overlord bar?
More map glitches when you look at the hatch between minutes 1 and 2.
Serral seem human after military service

Serral vs. Shin... sign me up
Zerg vs Zerg is so funny!
chaos , especially spine crawler rush :)

I notice the total unit count does not always match the army+worker sum. Am I missing something?
could be because units in production count towards total supply but not worker or army count
Watching this i realized that we all say that zerg doesnt have a doorway, but couldnt they use a spine to finish that wall? and unburrow when needed
But we don’t say that. We say that Zerg doesn’t *need* a door, even though they have one. And Protoss needs a door but doesn’t have one.
Lowko why don't we see any other colors aside from red and blue?

Which tournament?
Master's Coliseum 8
So, by your definition, Human = Loser!? LOL
14:36 Serral is no Terran😅
SERRAL!
bring back the 10 pool
Can't believe I'm watching a ZvZ.
Every time he introduces a player as "On Fire" hope its Bly :'(
Serral vs rogue when?
I would prefer a bo5 or bo7 Serral vs Dark in a late stage of a large tournament.
You miss all the fight with the camera bro , the end of the 1er game dosen’t end by magic there where a fight , many other Time too
2025 is a year
Casters and the minimap... 🙄
Okay, I'll eat my vegetables...
Nice, but I am going to leave without viewer games...
