It was highly experimental for its time, they were still troubleshooting and fine tuning it when this even took place, by the next year though it was absolutely unbeatable by anything on the circuit at that time.
No surprise really. Bigfoot #1 was using a 640ci tri carb Ford V8 at that time while Bigfoot #7 was using a still powerful but more conservative 540ci tri carb Ford V8. Also, Bigfoot #1 doesn't use planetary gears which helps it put power to the ground but makes it more prone to axle failure in high stress situations.
Loving the vintage footage !!!! The brick nose Bigfoots were the best looking in my opinion. Sadly, they killed a 74 - 76 Gran Torino (4th car in 2nd set of cars). Hey !!!!!!! I need those parts for mine !!!! Granted I was just shy of my 9th birthday when this happened. 🤣
@@capri8225 Not to surprising, I mean #7 was a fast truck for sure, but #1 was rocking the 640ci V8 at that time, no truck in the fleet except for maybe the Bigfoot Ranger could compete with it in a straight line drag race.
The originator!
The innovator!
The one, the only!!!
BIGFOOT!!!!!!
#8 was definitely the future of Monster Trucks. It took off like a bat out of hell. Very cool
Bigfoot was and will forever be my favorite monster truck. Recorded every show that I could back in the 80s and 90s.Would love to drive one just once.
King of the monster trucks
Busted 8 on the first jump and it still ran faster than the rest.
9:51 this thing is friggin crazy!!! Love it!!
Bigfoot 8 was such a massive step forward. Though very fragile out of the box it seems, but they sorted it out.
Bigfoot 9 was kinda the same way when it first came out and then eventually they were able to get it to be a pretty good truck.

8 dominated 1990 being ban for half the season and still taking the 👑
Andy Brass and #8!!! 😯 Did not know that that had happened on day one. This is why I have to give Bob Chandler 👏👏👏 for videotaping a lot of things.
Man, I love the sound those old trucks make.
6:15 - What a take off!!
OMG ITS U BIGFOOT 5 ACTION
Break off*
12:11 didn't see that coming..you go ol foot!!

@@nathanmcdonald610 I’m assuming that makes Bigfoot 1 one of the fastest if not the faster stage 1 monster truck in history
I didn't know that was 7. I always heard 7 was a bad ass
My favorite incarnation of Bigfoot 8😍!!!! That truck in this configuration was just awesome!!!
My favorite time of day is getting a notification that Bigfoot 4x4x4 TV has uploaded another video. I've been watching parts 1-3 all week.
Uy
Dang #8 shattered the entire front suspension on the first hit...wow
#1 has the biggest motor love seeing it out run the newer trucks
This is so cool.

I needed parts off of that and the '77-'79 LTD II that was in that row of cars.
Love the early monster trucks!!! Makes me cringe when they land on that 3rd generation Charger though!! Glad it was caught on film though.
3:44 vs 6:16 omfg bigfoot 8 was way ahead of it's time...cleared all the vehicles
Please tell me the second car on the second row wasn't a Plymouth Barracuda? 😳
How does one acquire 1 of those I need a bigfoot in my garage
Give me about $150,000.
@@andrewjacobs5579 pretty cheap for a monster like those.
I'm saving 😁😇
Bigfoot themselves will build you one for yourself if you supply them with a donor truck and about 1/4 of a million dollars.
How far we've come...
That’s cool
I miss my vhs tape i had they called the battle of the bigfoots
Were there other trucks at this jamboree, or just Bigfoot?
Just bigfoot
Wow 1 is fast
12:11 #1 showing it’s younger brother how it’s done.
Isn't that BF #1?
That is #1. By this time the only Foot carrying the 70's era body was the original.
Yep. I was shocked how the old girl kinda just left it
