I realize this event was a showcase for #8, but they had #4 looking & running mean. If they had run the full TNT season in '89 with that old leafer the points would have been interesting.
I would like to have seen #4 and #7 drag race. They were fastest in the fleet at the time outside of the brand new #8 and the legacy #1. I feel like #4 an #7 would have been a good close race. On a side note, you can tell they are still dialing in #8, its suspension was a little loosey goosy.
