- In this week's episode I will discuss why pride is so dangerous, how pride is plaguing Christians today, how most sins root in pride, and how to humble ourselves away from pride.
I will mainly be speaking about James 4:6, James 4:10, and James 3:13-18! God bless!
Pride is the hardest sin I struggle with, because sometimes I feel I’m better than people not saved. But God humbles me and tell me that use to be you and that still would be you if I didn’t save you 🙏🏾

A great way to deal with this is evangelism! Let that feeling rather drive you to preach to people. I know it’s easier said than done but putting yourself out there to talk about Jesus and preach salvation in a world that likes to reject Him is incredibly humbling. And it will also lay great rewards for you in heaven ☺️. God calls evangelism our Great Commission
Also if you're supposed to help them feel God's love they will be turned away by your, I'm better than you, attitude

Thank you for this word, it was directly for me, the bible says pride goes before destruction and I tell you this is so true, I have fallen, lost and regretted like never before and am currently repenting asking Jesus to cleanse this pride from me. Thank you Jesus for your patience and grace towards sinners and thank you house of Jacob for this timely word.
I need to confess. I was literally being opposed by God for the last few days because I was being arrogant. There was a certain sin that Ive battled by entire Christian walk, and Ive been clean for a little while now. That is great, however I became prideful about it. I VASTLY UNDERESTIMATED the amount of sin I still have and that I still need the blood of Christ to wash me clean. I confessed a similar prayer of repentance as braxten did and now I feel peace, joy, and overall just lighter than I have in days. Thank you Jesus for being so kind and patient with me.

I have always tried to seek holiness, but I saw that this is more difficult than one imagines. Amen! Sometimes I don't even noticed myself that I'm prideful.😢 Back then i was blessed with a job and was grateful to God because of it but when i walked away from God i forgot coz i feel like i can do it from here God and later on i find myself bragging that i got that job because of me and forgot that it was a gift😢 but despite all that, God saved me by taking away that job and everything else that i have put my trust with.. there and then i realized God is disciplining me and letting my eyes focus on Him and i realized it was all Him all along and i should humble myself to the one who blessed me with everything even if i don't deserve it but sometimes i still tend to forget that and that's why, Thanks for this great reminder! There's been a lot of things that i still really struggle about this and my heart i should also guard for everything flows through it and sometimes i find myself why do i help people or share talents? Is it because i am humble enough to serve or do i want to get attention? And that's why I'm praying that God will guide me always. God has been showing me my pride with all the things that are happening in my life. First, from how I internalize the silence that I'm getting to my friends whenever I talk to them online. The other is how I interact with people. He's rebuking my prideful soul by humbling me through his works. He's been showing me this video a lot, and I don't want to pick this up because I already had this thought that I already knew what this all would be about.
It's also my pride that turned off my empathy to other people. I easily get irritated when things don't go my way. It's my pride that consumed me and made me believe that I'm always right. It's this pride that disabled me from being patient towards the people I know and to my family. And this is a burden, a huge one.
Thank you for this. May God bless you. And I pray that I could overcome this too, because I know that God still hears me, and I'm too embarrassed for acting like this.

So good brother. Humility is something the Lord has been convicting me of in this season. The more I think about humility/ pride I too realize that so many parts of my life stem from this root problem. This episode just confirms that even more. You're doing an amazing job! God just revealed to me my problem with pride on my journey to put God first above everything else. Have hard time to understand that I am not my own that I belong to Him. And then this video made things clearer to me.

needed this. my pride case is the opposite of yours, I ran away from God because of the amount of sin I was committing. I was living like an enemy of the cross. This is infact pride, I was lifting myself to the position of god thinking I could change myself all by myself. Living like this turns what is supposed to be a loved-based relationship with God into a works-based one that is unsustainable due to our weaknesses.

Thank you for posting this and talking about it, Helped me and a lot of people realize how humble we should be and how dangerous pride is. I've been taking God's presence for granted, and the last time that I didn't feel it I felt so horribly lost in life, and there I learned that I should be thankful for what I receive from him!! I prayed one night and came to the Lord about how lost I felt without him and he in that moment I felt peace and comfort, which was a little similar to what you said. It's comforting to know that he's always there with us and willing to correct our mistakes, God bless!!

ooh this one hit, this one really hit home. thank you for speaking on this it’s so important. i feel that i’ve been dealing with areas of pride in myself which i didn’t even know was stemmed from pride. my fear of failure, the way i judge myself and others too harshly. my fear of being vulnerable with others. it all comes from pride. everything truly is a gift from God and it’s prideful to assume that anything we have is our own. pride is such a poison to our relationship with God, it really is a silent killer, and i am so grateful to have heard this message today. it’s such a blessing to be able to have like minded people speaking on this app, thanks for doing what you do man. Thank you for this ❤ I was watching a John Piper sermon just yesterday about how even Paul was given a thorn in the flesh so he wouldn't become prideful about his close relationship with God. You'd think that proximity to God would make us less prideful but it can be a challenge in itself. It's by his grace that we can draw near to him. My battle is that others pride bothers me so much and I don't know if thats the right response. My own pride bothers me just as much tho so It's not that I'm trying to be a hypocrite. I don't like pride in myself AND others. It's just that I know how to deal with my Pride ... I take it to the Lord and I intentionally seek to be exposed before the Lord. But how do I practically deal with prideful people in my life who don't even perceive their pride as sin? I'd hate to react out of my own pride lol

Thank you for explaining and giving examples on how every sin stem from pride. I always heard the pride is the root of sin but didn't understand how. I also got a revelation that humility is basically aligning yourself with the truth. The truth that everything good that you have comes from God. Therefore to be prideful is to believe a lie.

It is written in 1 Peter 5:8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
to an extent yes, but he is only our enemy because we are in Christ Jesus. the greek word in 1 Peter 5:8 for adversary is antidikos and the word is normally an accuser/opponent in a suit of law

It is so cool that GOD gives us the ability to support other Christians by liking, commenting on their content and subscribing. It seems like such a small thing, but it truly is a way for us to support one another and help each other out. you have no idea how much I needed this. especially with a hardened heart its easy to sin and in your heart you know its wrong but you become numb walking and living a life that you know He doesn't want for you. That's the cycle I have been stuck in for almost two years and it just seems to be getting worse. Like no matter how close I get I'm not close enough or I honestly just greive the Holy Spirit, then you see people in church who see you as someone your not believing in a person that they think I can be but I can't even see it myself. It's like I'm losing emotion. I can't even cry, I'm scared soon sin won't even faze me, like something is holding on to me and I can't break free. Prayers would be appreciated because honestly at this point I will take all of the help I can get, but most importantly, may God have mercy on my soul.
