I discovered so many tracks from these playlists, some of those tracks i've been listening for years, so many creative and obscure bands out there really great to have them bundled in mixes
If I'm right, Venetians are from 🇦🇺 And I've even always found it curious how the Australian and New Zealand songs of that era were just as good as the UK ones. They were able to make good use of the melodic lines that were played far away.

Yeah, it was truly sad to learn of Paul's passing. Even though he's gone, his iconic voice and dance on "Don't Walk Past" will live on RUclips. It was to pay respect to the man by adding his lesser know song to this mix.
I remember hearing John Peel play something by Dalek I Love You and going out to try and buy it. I'm not 100% sure if I succeeded or not - if I did it's in the loft!
Dalek I Love You went through a lot of personnel changes, so early 80's songs are more post punk but later stuff are more Depeche Mode like. Obviously the label wanted them to make "hits" to bring in some $$.

Why are all the band photo's in Black and White ??...did they not have colour photo's in the 1980s ??
These were small budget bands with no big label supporting them. So they would keep the cost down by including b&w pics in the record sleeve etc.
