    Someone who actually does their research when speaking about Anfernee Simons, great video 👏

    Dawg I've been watching your channel since your draft previews for this last draft started dropping. The quality of your videos is insane. I've watched a lot of basketball channels on here before and your is by far my favorite. Perfect analysis over perfect highlights/graphics. A lot of basketball analysis vids I'll just listen to, but yours I actually watch. Also I'm a ride or die Blazer fan so when you do vids on a Blazer I get hyped. Keep it up brotha💯

    I've wanted to see Ant attack the rim more ever since he came into the league. He's certainly a tremendous shooter, but he has relied so much on his j that defenders haven't really needed to respect the dribble-drive. He definitely improved on that last year, but another big step forward could make his $100M extension look like a bargain. Great video, as always!

    not enough people talked about Simons amazing season. His scoring will probably go down with Dame back but I can totally see him filling the role CJ had and he could end up being even better.

      We're going to need alot of defense to make a run. Hopefully we can do that and stay healthy. But I'm already sure we're cursed and someone key goes down

      @@trailblazer77 We're gonna be good defensively 3-5 with bot hthe first and second unit. If Ant can be even an average defender we should have good defense overall

    the fact the Blazers had to bench this guy at the end of the season just to make sure they tanked enough says a ton. singlehandedly won them a bunch of games leading a roster of G leaguers.
    dude is gonna be a menace, easily the most excited I've been about a Blazer since Dame

    Great scouting video. Ant’s ceiling is much higher than CJ and could be an all star eventually. I have to wonder if he’s not used in a trade for a super star at the deadline or next summer though.

    Great analysis. I'm hoping Ant's improved playmaking will allow Dame to play more off-ball. Ant was hitting those amazing shooting splits last season with defenses knowing he was the only legit offensive threat on the court. Imagine the looks he'll get when he has Dame as an outlet 😳

    If Sharpe is everything we hope he is, the young Blazer core is way more balanced than the last 2 decades. Simons, Sharpe, Little is crazy athletic and lengthy.

  • @grimlockthethrasher1
    @grimlockthethrasher1 2 года назад +1

    Phenomenal video bro. I think you hit the nail on the head on every point. Simons is saying he’s 6’5 now and he’s already got a great wingspan and athleticism. Now idk how true this is but it would definitely help him improve defensively. Also if you look at the games he played w/o cj mccollum before the all star break the blazers had a record of 7-3 and Anfernee avg something like 28 and 8 on 50/40/90 splits. The potential is definitely there and I think he’ll eventually surpass Cj this szn as the better backcourt mate

    • @HoopIntellect
      @HoopIntellect  2 года назад +2

      Appreciate it! And I wouldn't be surprised if he is 6'5 now, he towers over Dame. Certainly has the size to make things happen a little easier defensively.

  • @bjyrad785
    @bjyrad785 2 года назад +1

    I expect his offense to increase and have better efficiency. Hopefully with Dame running the show, Simoms can focus more on defense and not be a negative on that end.

  • @therockneverstops8261
    @therockneverstops8261 2 года назад +1

    I’m also curious what his height is now? I wouldn’t be shocked if he’s grown and listed over 6’4 with his 6’9 wingspan to boot. That size is a far better compliment than CJ at 6’2.

      Second Spectrum does video tracking for NBA games, so a lot of the advanced stats are derived from their data. You can use it as a coaching or analysis tool for any player in the league.

      He’s lengthy, good at getting through screens, knows that he needs to improve on that end, and has great defensive mentors around him. Those are some things that CJ didn’t have/lacked. No reason why he can’t be at least slightly below average
