@@DEVILONBOTHSHOULDERSexactly I feel like when you have a good defensive prospect they can develop the offense later cases like butler and kawhi and JJJ are really great examples of this I feel
Also this draft becomes severely underwhelming pretty quickly. For instance, in this video after Ace Bailey there isn’t even another truly “elite” athlete mentioned the rest of first round.
Noa Essengue has officially become the most fascinating prospect in this class to me. He has no signature skill, but he's been productive in a professional league. I have absolutely no idea what position he'll play, but he's an athletic 6'10 that moves well. He might take 18-36 months to really like a stud in the league, but so did Giannis. Kid could be a future All-Star or the next Aleksej Pokusevski, I just don't know.
Yeah, not everything looks like mine, everyone's is different though... this one I like because after the first 2 prospects it really is a crapshoot up to about 10 before the next tier drops off. So much better than ESPN's whacky one they released.
I like Khaman but 6 is aggressive for a player that rim runs and defends. At least with Clingan he also has a short roll game. If Khaman can consistently show one more skill on offense I'd feel more comfortable that high
Still think you should take a look at Micheal Rataj. He’s taken a huge step up this year with 17/8/2 and 3 stocks a game on 48/37/80 splits. He’s plays Gonzaga Thursday
As a thunder fan it'll be interesting who we get at the 7 or 8 pick since the sixers pick is top 6 protected. If im Sam presti I'm think between Tre Johnson or Asa Newell but I am leaning more into Asa Newell since I do think he's got a good defensive versatility for a forward which OKC does need rn his playstyle comp: jonathan isaac/john collins hybrid and I think the thunder can take gamble at him. But I would understand if some thunder fans would love to get Tre Johnson since he's a dynamic scorer that reminds me a lot like Cam Johnson type.
Ace Bailey needs to go to a team that already have their No. 1 and No. 2 options sorted, he can't be allowed to handle the ball which will allow him take bad shots too often bro gotta learn how to play like a role player for the first 2 years in order to be elite in the NBA imo
Egor Demin over Hugo Gonzalez is insane. And Rasheer Fleming isn't in the top 20. Noah Penda and Noa Essengue are such intriguing prospects. I'm very high on Penda. I watched a couple of his live games, and although he wasn't the best player on the floor, he just stood out on every possession. It's insane. OG Anunoby vibes from him
Looks like a top heavy draft, the top better than last season’s, but I’m less excited about the lower half of the lottery and beyond. Thank you for your excellent work🚬🪖
I am, personally, not even remotely excited about Ace Bailey right now. I see a Ballhog who forces far too many bad shots. I honestly think at this point he might have more upside as a defender. If he was a 3&D prospect he'd be the best 3&D prospect in this class, but I still wouldn't take him ahead of Flagg, Harper, Jakucionas or even Fears right now. If we start treating Bailey as a terrific 3&D prospect who COULD become a number one option if he cleans up his shot diet, develops as a passer and becomes more efficient at the rim, then I think that's a more accurate depiction of Ace as a prospect right now. But that description is not a top 5 player in this class, to me
@daverowe1081 He doesn't have the awareness to be a good defender. It's hard to project a kid with that poor awareness as a good defender. Also, he can address his strength issues, but his high center of gravity will be tougher to overcome.
@@melomanace3415 Last nights game against UCLA he played excellent defense… remember he’s a young 18 only 4 months older than Flagg he technically could still be in high school
acd is one prospecc`t cst get bc r got number 1 talent but the way he pla idk i fhe gonna oo be some new shit in the league or if he gonna be easy to guard bc his weight and non dribboiing but like i said if he can h a 610 lockdown kay thomson who also guards bugs wouldnt that be a superstar?
the last 2 classes really showcase this generation lack of developed games. so many players look like role players at best. and so many guards and forwards don't have 3pt shooting elite handle elite playmaking defense or shot creation as their top skills. they look like they're ok not good or underdeveloped at many of these categories. if they're good at one or two things they're under average at almost all the other things
Interesting to see Tre Johnson below Ace and VJ. I guess Tre doesn't defend like VJ or have the positional size of Ace but I really don't see either of those guys becoming real offensive threats in the NBA. There's always the risk Tre is another Cam Johnson tho so I get why people might be hesitant. Also, I love how Rasheer Fleming plays. I like his as much as any of the forwards ahead of him. Hope the Spurs pick him up
I’d argue Kasparas should be #2 over Dylan Harper. Harper’s stats come from being on a really really bad team. Watching a Rutgers game is brutal. It’s not team basketball. It’s Dylan and Ace shooting contested shots. Kasparas is going to be a legit NBA point guard for a long time.
I’m genuinely struggling with the idea of taking Dylan Harper or Ace Bailey near the top of the draft. The talent/potential is obviously there, but their inability to contribute to winning in any way is a HUGE red flag. Two potential Top 5 players should be able to greatly impact winning at the college level. If you can’t contribute to winning basketball at the college level (in a down Big 10, no less), then you certainly aren’t going to positively contribute to winning in the NBA.
It's not that easy. Rutgers is pretty awful outside of those 2. You can make an argument for ace not being a winning player, but not dylan. All of dylan's advanced stats point to him being a huge positive. Bpm, win shares, point production all being just outside of top 10 in the country. Impressive for a freshman.
I’m utterly fascinated by Ace Bailey.
He could be a multi time All-NBA guy or a very tall Dion waiters lmao
There's really no in between for those uber talented but undisciplined shot creator/ tough shot makers lol. They're either T-Mac or JR Smith.

Magoon Gwath should be on honorable mentions
