    Enjoyed that one again. Totally agree that you need to do the rest along with the Certilogo. If anything to make sure you’ve got all the right tags, papers etc to preserve the value.
    I had someone proudly show me their Ghost Hoodie. They were aghast when I pointed out it wouldn’t normally have the white neck tag. Everyday is a school day!

      Don’t forget some suppliers cut out certilogo labels to protect themselves. This doesn’t mean they are fake.

    Great video and really helpful! I’ve only just got into stone island and am really enjoying searching for pieces. Your video has really helped me out although a seller taking terrible photos of their jacket which I think is real but causes me to have doubts

    Any tips on identifying old pre 2014 items? Got some items from a wholesaler. One of which is a pair of Chinos Button fly with the Stone Island cross on them. Studs around the pockets marked front and rear Two black inner tags. First is slightly smaller with the cross again and size upon it. next underneath the first is larger with "Sportwear Company S.P.A Made In Italy 100% Cotton" and wash instruction on the rear Under these two is a white tag with numbers and codes upon it (Google seems useless at identifying these?) Am wondering what other items i should be looking for on older items? Thnx.

  • @dalebrook27
    @dalebrook27 3 года назад +1

    Some of the older pieces, particularly 80s to mid 90s had little size labels sticking out of the neck label mate.
    I appreciate what you're doing, but if some people are wanting to get into the brand and buy from those era, you're potentially deterring them from buying those pieces because they think they're fake etc.
    Having said that, the newer ones/current looking S.I pieces with the size tag sticking out of the neck label are definitley fake, and look tragically fake.

    • @casual_dresser
      @casual_dresser  3 года назад +2

      This is why I commented in the video that this is just a small review. If I had to go into every single difference then pieces will just contradict each other ie name plates etc. Most people new to the market wouldn’t touch 80s early 90s pieces so if it saves them a few pounds then so be it. Lads buying older pieces will know what they are looking for anyway, so will be able to buy specific models with confidence from their own knowledge.

      @dalebrook27 3 года назад

      @@casual_dresser yes I suppose thats correct and I thought that myself - (lads new to the brand wont be buying 80s and 90s) so I suppose thats okay. However,
      I sell old stoney pieces - 80s and 90s tackle on ebay and you would not believe how many newbies have bought them only for them to arrive and them message me wanting a refund etc saying that theyre fake etc. I certainly believe though that if you're new to the brand and dont know your stuff yet then you have no business buying from the older era.
      Where are you from anyway lad? I hear the flat vowells and your vernacular and pronounciations and i'm thinking Yorkshire? I'm a Yorkshireman myself like, Barnsley.
      Cheers.

    Sometimes you can find some super bargains on ebay that are real. It either stolen or someone selling someone's cloth without their permission which is equivalent to stolen😂. I've bought S. I parka for 200$ brand new and dust finish Membrana coat for 300$ from the same person. He or she was very suspicious because the address they put in shipping label were for the first time and the second different and they were parking lot or gas stations. So yeah I believe they were stolen from the store by employees and then resold. I don't how to feel about it that they were stolen but I've got a deal.

    • @casual_dresser
      @casual_dresser  3 года назад

      yeah, there are certainly deals to be had but with so many fakes you have to know your stuff. Also, the next level fakes need a different level of knowledge to be legit checked. Lots of deals to be had though :)

    • @mikeycraig8970
      @mikeycraig8970 3 месяца назад

      Don't worry about it. You didn't steal it. It's untraceable back to the original owner so it's not like you're going to get caught wearing it. Why worry?

    If you ever have a stone island jacket with the big badge on the inside - it’s 💯 fake .
    If it’s the basic white compass badge it’s all good ✅

    the new stone island crew necks now would be considered fake 5 years ago. They are not made in Italy anymore but charge a higher price tag. Says made in turkey lol.

  • @danielfaries2248

    I've seen alot saying about stone island don't put sizes or fitment next round the inside tag. Why are flannels selling them this way then ??

    • @casual_dresser
      @casual_dresser  2 года назад

      Hi there. Size tags are normally by the certilogo unless on a polo/shirt. Are they now putting the on the necks of jackets? I don’t think I’ve spotted this….

    So defo as of when you made the vid if it says fake it is?? As today I was gonna bid on a down jacket had ykk zips the lot but the drop stitch on the badge looked a tad big like they’re on those 1 to 1 fakes that’s popped up now. Also the certi came back as fake and the guy tried saying it’s because it’s been scanned too many times lol. It’s one of the downs I’ve noticed have been fakes recently so questioned it when it just didn’t look right. But if it didn’t say fake on the certi check you couldn’t really tell as it’s literally a 1 to 1 fake!

    • @casual_dresser
      @casual_dresser  3 года назад +1

      If the certi comes back as fake, it’s fake. Certi has anomalies then scanned too muCh. Yeah 1 to 1 fakes around now, it’s nuts and scary at the same time!

    Still worth covering the badge as like you said you can order a real item pictured with a real badge and when it arrives you've got a real piece with a fake badge and if you don't know what to spot you'll never know
