@@MikeDuece666 Andy Reid was literally a borderline hall of famer before Mahomes ever played a down for him. Reid turned McNabb into a pro bowler. In fact, without Reid, McNabb would have most likely washed out. Look at what every other quarterback in that draft did, and then compare it to McNabb. Reid was behind that. McNabb simply wasn't as good as the top quarterbacks in that era. Belichick was a losing coach before Brady. He developed no one. Brady was a lottery ticket that he didn't even know that he had until Blodsoe got hurt. Reid moved up in the draft to get Mahomes because he recognized his potential, then he developed that potential. There's a reason why Reid had a job immediately after being fired by the Eagles and why Belichick doesn't have a job now. Seriously, maybe do a little research outside of the general Boston area. You might find that you'll learn something.

I'm a Reid fan - Eagles fan, didn't want him to leave - but this is ridiculous. The league is more offensively focused AND, according to a lot of these pundits, Mahomes is more talented than Brady, so how can he be better at 3 wins? With those advantages, a better coach should be able to win at least 7.

Saying he's the greatest of all time at this exact moment is probably a little presumptious, but if Mahomes continues on this trajectory, and so does Reid, they are on pace to beat them both. Mahomes passing stats are also light years ahead of Brady at this point in his career. Remember this is basically like comparing Brady from 2001 - 2004 with Mahomes of 2019-2024, comparatively Mahomes has way more offensive stats to go with the same number of super bowls in that stretch. Let's say their collaboration also results in 6 super bowls. Now you would have Belichick who let's assume will not coach again (he's old, and teams clearly weren't interested this year) Reid would have the same number of SB's, way more postseason wins (he's only 5 behind Belichick now), and he would have taken two different teams to the SB as a head coach which is EXCEEDINGLY rare.
I do disagree calling either Reid of Mahomes GOAT right now is presumptious, but based on their current trajectory, they both have the potential to surpass Belichick and Brady.
The argument is that Reid could win with McNabb and Alex Smith. Not win super bowls, but take them farther than they had any business going. Belichick not so much.

Plus , considering that Tom Brady alone cost Andy 3 Rings , an Eagle Ring in which Mc Nabb and T.O would have come out on top against any other non-Brady QB , then the KC AFC overtime game when Mahome magic would have killed any other team in that comeback and lastly , the Bucs Ring . Andy Reid turned McNabb into a pro-bowler and made Alex Smith look like an actual NFL quarterback. He also resurrected Vick's career, who never played better than he did when playing for Reid. So take them sour Philly grapes and choke on them. I thought it was the dumbest decision the Eagles ever made by firing Reid, and when he's done, he'll be considered the greatest to ever do it, and the Eagles had him, but as always, the Philly team made the shortsighted decision. Just think, Mahomes, both Kelce brothers, and Spags could have been Eagles.

Reid is far better than Belichick. Without Brady, Bill hasn't done much of anything, with multiple teams. Reid never had a great QB, until Mahomes, yet he always had his teams in the thick of the race. I think he is at least as good as Walsh, better than Lombardi. Lombardi was a different kind of coach. He just made his team go to extremes for conditioning, and turned them loose on the opposition. Reid NEVER gets credit for ALL of the preparations he provides his team, and the Eagles made the dumbest move EVER, by letting him go.

Basically, there are three kinds of coaches: 1) the warriors-who believe football is combat to be won-the screamers, the tough guys widely known and admired for mistreating their most expensive help; 2) The rocket scientists-who believe football is a complex problem to be solved. These guys love complexity so much, they invent new forms. Think Bill Walsh; 3) the teachers-who believe that coaching football is pedological problem-what methods are best suited to extracting the maximum outcomes of each player's potential and skillset? This coaching philosophy is wildly popular in Scandinavia and has produced world-class golfers, tennis players, hockey players, etc. Andy Reid is a teacher / rocket scientist

Andy Reid lost to Belichchick in the SuperBowl and lost to the Patriots in Arrowhead with Mahomes
Belichick has 6 rings as a HC and 2 more as a DC… I think it’s a tie, Reid is as good in offense as Belichick in defense! Also Cowherd ignored that the first 3 Super Bowls in NE were more tied to that fantastic defense… as well as in SB 51!
Andy is averaging 12 wins per regular season over the last 6 years, and is currently at 258. Andy only needs 44 games to catch Belichick, so it seems likely he could pass Bill up in 4 years. Bill is 3rd, only 16 behind Halas, and 26 behind Shula. Also Andy is only 5 playoff wins behind, but that is only 2 more years at their current rate. If Reid stays for 4 more years, the only question will be how many Super Bowl rings.

Belichick had a .450 winning percentage with the Browns. One good season with Garappolo during Bradys injury and misery after Brady left.

Great point ! Belichick is a strategist. He uses game specific designed game plans depending on the team he is playing. He makes half time adjustments and has never been afraid to take chances. Andy Reid is just the opposite. He uses the same play not to lose keep it close and rely on Mahomes to win every game on the final drive game plan it doesn't matter who they are playing. Belichick coaches well b4, during and at half time. Andy Reid does all his coaching b4 the game and comes in with his plays pre-scripted. He uses them no matter how the ball is bouncing early in the game because he'd be lost like Purdy without a script to follow or talented support around him. Andy Reid in my opinion is a good coach. I think we could keep Jones but it would mean changing a good part of his money to Not Likely To Be Achieved bonuses and would depend on him being willing to accept.
