I remember watching her in concert at her prime and her belts and high notes and the resonance of her voice have left an indelible imprint in my memory. I always enjoy watching your blogs. Regine is really a great singer with a wide range that can belt your hearts out. This video, if I'm not mistaken, is about 20yrs ago or more.

So its about 10yrs ago, I stand corrected. Why can't Regine or any fan/supporter upload her latest video? 'Coz I only saw one of her videos covering Never Enough, her voice was still good but no longer the same as it was. It seemed she can no longer do sustained notes longer, kinda catching her breath.
chatt cedric chatt cedric there are other and more videos of her showing she can in the last 12months. Never enough is just one of the numerous songs she sang. Not perfect due to hoarseness/acid reflux attack but she was able to reach the high notes and sustain nonetheless. Saw her performances in Dagupan LIVE just last Month and who says she cant sustain? 🙄😂
She may have been experiencing vocal challenges now due to acid reflux and age but the voice remains competitive that even the young generation singers we have now cannot match her power and stage presence! Hello i believe i can fly with Jona! Hello Divas in Manila with Kyla, KZ, Angeline and Yeng! Hello R30 with Mori, Julie Ann, Jona, etc! Hello Morisette Is Made concert! Her current voice remains unmatched! The notion that she CANT SUSTAIN notes now is far from being true. At her 40s there are MANY PERFORMANCES where she sustained notes higher than what we see in this video and MORE EFFECTIVELY at that!
Hence, I suggest to our Vocal Coach here to react on the following Performances:

What Kind of Fool I Am (R30)/ Go The Distance (Mr and Mrs A) Los Angeles - Regine at 47
Anyway, Compare to the Young Regine of course theres a difference now. Not as effortless and agile as before but in her best condition like RATT 3rd night, Mr and Mrs A- LA, Dagupan concerts you’ll hardly see the difference 😂 but the emotive aspect of her tone now is better, imo. And she gained more in terms of technique to keep her voice competitive. She remains the busiest music artist from 2015 to present with 23 concerts, numerous corporate shows and PLDT Regine Series Mall Tours, two TV series and a 5-year old weekly show. Managing your voice to accomodate Regines schedule in her mid/late 50s can be a suicide for our younger artists. The next busiest, Sarah, even postponed/ cancelled 4-5 concerts in recent years and use tracks/playbacks now, lipsyncing her way just to “preserve” her voice.
So yes, The older Regine maybe less effortless and agile than the younger Regine but reality remains that she still owns th “most competitive voice” we have in the PH market 😂 if they watch the above mentioned performances of Regine, i dont think any sane vocal coach or voice teacher will say that she cannot sustain a note anymore or shes ONLY GOOD! 😂✌🏼
You should hear regine velasquez do a broadway medley in a duet with martin nievera. That duet is one of the best I have ever heard.
