It's a great LIVE version of Call Me, but it's also sad to see as they were struggling hard with drug abuse and in group fighting and Chris Stein had a rare immune disease that was caused by drug abuse. They were at the top of the music biz in 1980, they took 1981 off to do solo stuff and by the time they came back in 82, the magic was gone. They couldn't sell out any of the venues on this tour and ended up canceling half the tour. They regained it in 1999
Once the generation of ownership went a decade without, realised what we'd missed..Music folk get spoilt, was so much great music in the late 80's.I get choked up to hear her voice now,DEARLY MISSED.All started and led a path we all circled around back to..Love her.
Always remember seeing this performance from years ago. So sweaty, so raw. Got to admire the professionalism, especially of DH as most women don't want to be seen with a hair out of place these days. She was great doing War Child at the same show earlier also.
Wow Shirley, this sure brings back memories! I LOVE Blondie!! She was a real trendsetter and the true queen of new wave and punk! She pioneered "rap", too when she did Rapture with it's disco/funk/Hip Hop sound that we all loved. Many musicians followed her lead. The good news is that I saw her just a few years back and she's still GOT IT! She has so much energy and her voice was still GREAT. I was just in awe as the older I get, I realize how much energy must be summoned for such a performance! Thanks for posting this and bringing back such good memories!!! ~Jackie
Classical Jams - Passionate Piano Jackie, it's not easy to find Debbie singing this song in the early days. I think this is nearing the end of the good times for Blondie. I want to see her now, if they ever come my way. Thanks for your comments. I still have a Blondie 45 rpm record ... wish I could play it ... ha :)
becksdollface This was a great find and post and I thank you for the effort. Yes, if she comes your way, definitely buy a ticket. You won't be disappointed! Laughing about your old vinyl record....I actually miss playing them, too.....watching them spin, picking up the needle and placing it in the groove again and again to replay our favorite songs on those 33's , as well ;-) Yeah, and we drank out of the hose and played dodgeball and lived through that, too :-)) Hahahaha.....perhaps a little rummage/estate sale for a record player will solve your dilemma in playing that 45!! Take care, ~Jackie
@@becksdollface Remember the diner music box at each booth?Oh every one I ever seen had all her singles..lol...Hers and Gary Newman (In cars),and Devo!!!!l But I always had love for Blondie..She has talent for phrasing lyrics.Would love to write with her.Oh I do her material well (for a man).lol..She would love me.lol.Back when music had heart...
Grande Blondie. Real music - unlike the crap being produced today.... she's even sexier sweaty, sounds great. Clem is an absolute animal on the drums.....
@thekitkatman thank you, Man, for the confirmation regarding the date, 1982, and place, which is more plausible anyway. And thanks for the full show link, also ღ Becks ღ
She looks so much older here than when she sang Heart of Glass. I still love her though. she's even sexier sweaty, sounds great. Clem is an absolute animal on the drums.....
Hi Lea, search for more of Blondie's songs; the singer is Debbie Harry and she is still performing. She has a powerful voice, right? I am glad you like it. ღ ღ Have a good week. I like your latest "One Of Us"; it has a great melody & your vocal is beautiful! ღ ღ Shirley
I love Debbie Harry ... dance on the road, any time, any place, any where! She must have put on a great performance ... did you find any UFO's? It's gotta be dark in the middle of the Atlantic. :)
Oh yea!! GREAT! Brought back memories! She looked demonised at 4:50 or am I tripping? 0:09 I have a strange feeling that guy is a fan of rock music, lol 🤙
I would ask freaking seconds and quite possibly thirds then ask wjst time breakfast, I am still having those teenage fantasies and love her still at age 57. I'll tell you about some dreaming.
That's crazy. This is in 4/4, it just has a triplet feel for most of it. Not really practical to count this in a compound meter, even though it isn't technically wrong.
I mean, as a drummer, in a good way.
Kind of a pity we didn’t see more of them with Eddie Martinez, though current guitarist Tommy Kessler’s quite sharp as well. And Clem Burke is still a monster.
Almost 40 years later finally they have the respect and recognition that deserves.
NO ! You came late 😔
Exactly! They always had my respect & as far as I'm concerned they were way ahead of the times! Great musicians & incredibly gifted & sexy front woman
@@thomascavanaugh5895 - it's live Punk Rock. That's how it is. Did you not get the brief?

I remember when this came out, she was one of the few female rockers dominating the scene in a big way then.
I love Blondie 🖤 she had so much style back in the 70-80's! Her music is amazing!
Me too
Digo lo mismo
Her name is Debbie Harry, Blondie is the name of the band.
Yeah Blondie is they.
Toronto in the 70s and 80s was the best.
What a great performance. She was so cool and the band so amazing 🙂
Amazing example of true rock and roll talent!!!!

Mike Youngblood wow..they couldn’t sell tickets? That’s almost criminal :(. Depressing.
@@mrc2662 Yeah the Hunter tour only lasted like a month due to low ticket sales.
