I love how so many people feel the need to attack these videos in the comments. These are fun, lighthearted, and informative...not a college lecture. Bothers and Sisters, let us build one another up so that the Spirit may move through us and allow these videos to help those struggling along on their journey.
As a handbell musician, director and sales rep for Malmark, I'm not offended at all by Chuck's lack of handbell training. I'm just glad that he's talking about handbells!! Love the video! It's a fun way for people to maybe be inspired to get their bells out of the closet or to get more information. But... why not give a real source for information? Or is this just intended to be a total "tongue in check" video and not a usable tool?
Ask your Pastor? I think you would have more success if you asked your Music Director. Interesting plug for Malmark handbells when he is clearly holding a bell made by their competators, Schulmerich. Fun.
Is the Malmark/Schulmerich thing another tongue-in-cheek easter egg for bell players to get a laugh out of? Also, he gave away my secret for what I do when I don't play on the final chord of a song! Oh no! Now the congregation will know! :P
Why would Chuck say the bells were made by Malmark? Why give any company a plug? Especially since they look like Schulmerich bells to me. If this series is to help people understand church, why not talk about the use of bell music in worship?
I like the ChuckKnowsChurch video's. He explains things with humor which is fun to watch. I like him a lot.

don't think this was intended to be a teaching tool for "how to ring" but just general information. I like what he is trying to do.

Mark - We believe Chuck is un-trainable in that area. :)
Why do they always wear the white gloves when using the bells?
Warblerab 295 The natural oil on your skin can tarnish the bell which makes it harder to clean
