The MA9000 Integrated Amplifier can help you achieve audio perfection. McIntosh's largest integrated in both size and power, it offers 300 Watts per channel and combines their amplifier and preamplifier expertise into one comprehensive unit.
Highlights...
2 x 300 Watts Power Amplification
New & Improved McIntosh Monogrammed Heatsinks
Analogue inputs include 6 x RCA, 2 x Balanced, 1 x MM Phono, 1 x MC Phono
Digital inputs include 2 Coaxial, 2 Optical, 1 USB, 1 MCT input
Quad Balanced 8-Channel, 32-bit / 192 kHz DAC
Hi-Res Digital Music up to DSD256 & DXD 384kHz
New & Improved Control Microprocessors
Full of McIntosh technological staples including Autoformers, Power Guard, Sentry Monitor, Home Theater PassThru, High Drive headphone amplifier with Headphone Crossfeed Director (HXD), Power Control and Solid Cinch speaker binding posts.
A multitude of inputs...
There are enough inputs and outputs on the MA9000 to last a lifetime. The 10 analog connections are comprised of 2 balanced and 6 unbalanced inputs plus 1 Moving Coil and 1 Moving Magnet for turntable connectivity. Both phono inputs feature adjustable loading for fine tuning of vinyl playback. All unbalanced analog connectors are made from premium gold-plated solid brass for superior signal handling and grounding.
On the digital side, 2 coax, 2 optical, 1 USB and 1 MCT input (for use with our MCT450 SACD/CD Transport) are all housed in our new DA1 Digital Audio Module; the DA1 can be easily replaced by future modules to keep your MA9000 up to date as new digital audio formats and technologies are developed.
Exceptional digital decoding...
The DA1 utilizes a powerful 8-channel, 32-bit Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) used in Quad Balanced mode. The coax and optical inputs will decode music up to 24-bit/192kHz for high resolution audio playback; the USB input accepts even higher PCM signals up to 32-bit/384kHz and supports up to DSD256 and DXD 384kHz. All inputs can be given custom names for user-friendly system control and configuration. All inputs also function independently of each other and each is always available for use regardless of how your sources are connected.
New McIntosh technology...
The MA9000 features new McIntosh Monogrammed Heatsinks that are made from high quality materials with excellent thermal conductivity properties. They also have a higher quality finish thanks to a new manufacturing process. They are connected to advanced high current output transistors that eliminate thermal equilibrium lag time (or warm-up time), meaning the first note played will sound just as good as those played later in your listening session.
New, more powerful control microprocessors have been used in the MA9000 to improve overall system operation. Some of the latest audio-grade circuit components have also been utilized to allow the MA9000 to deliver the best sound possible.

Just bought this thing, can't wait for delivery.... PS, that "help" you got open the box needs to be in far more videos.. wow!
Thank you SJ
Price please.wifi streaming?
Astonishing indeed! What a fantastic unboxing! The Listening Post is truly STATE-OF-THE ART! Thank You!
Thank you and yes, it is amazing
Yes! Thanks for posting this. I love my MA9000, it literally does everything.
Yes - but best of all, it sounds amazing
Another upload! Nice!
Thanks John
It looks fantastic and I am certain that it is. I have an earlier model MA 6200 integrated amp which I use a great deal. It does not have the great meters, and is of lesser output power, but has a feature that I love that the new unit does not. I can connect my unit to up to three sets of speakers, each set controlled from the front panel. I use mine to control three separate zones in my home and I connect the power bridge to another amplifier for a fourth zone. I have owned this Mc for 37 years providing me with uninterrupted audio enjoyment.
Superb
I like how you throw things
Thank you
At 12:06 of the video there’s a top down shot showing the screen printed info but below that there are the EQ knobs. One of them (the 400 Hz) looks ‘bent’. Was it damaged in shipping?
You might be right. I will check
I don't think it was damaged in shipping, because of the outside boxes. Mine MA9000 was damaged on one of the binding post terminals and was replaced by the dealer. Those things could happen when factory build, despite the quality control. That being said, a awesome integrated amplifier from McIntosch and a great unboxing video.
Hope they would come up with an entry-level one for people with limited budget...
check out the MA53000 ... only $5500 US dollars.
@@Sams911 If you could find an MA 6200 on the used market I would highly recommend it.
Care about back panel and connectors!
You could have just used the "binding post wrench" to loosen the bolts at the bottom. Just flip the wrench over :)
Yes - But it is faster for the video to use the drill
@@TLPCHC
true that!!!! hahahah :)
8 band equalization on board? Allow me to forward this link to a certain "audiophile purist" that I know who insists that no top-end integrated amplifier would ever feature such a thing. Could we be returning to the days of yore when manufacturers offered separate component equalization? I wonder.
McIntosh has a 70year history in HIFi, so some of their models have features dating back decades. They do models of int amps and pre-amps with 5 and 8 band EQ's as a knod to the past and an acceptance that some customers want this feature.
I doesn’t look like the damage was there apon unboxing. I’m sure it happened after. I have one and luv it. It’s a beast.
What’s the DAC sound like.
Lovely - Really, really good.
Can it drive BW 803 D3 to its fullest potential?
Can I use this MA9000 to drive a pair of Revel F328 speakers? Does it have subwoofer outputs?
Yes - it will drive these speakers. Yes - you can connect a subwoofer via the Pre-Out
@@TLPCHC Thanks for reaching out, much appreciated.
Wifi streaming?how many channels?approximately price?
Hi Pratheep - This is a $24,995 NZD amplifier. It does not need (and does not have) Wifi
Une pure beauté
Yes - it is lovely. Sounds superb, with such a low noise floor the amps power does not vail all the detail.
Скажите пожалуйста? Rotel 1552 достойный аппарат?🎃
For the money - Yes.

Great video. Very informative. I want one - and maybe someday will have one. One question: Does the MA9000 use LEDs to illuminate the front panel? I own the much earlier MA6900 integrated amp, and I find that the little incandescent lamps burn out frequently. I bought an LED lighting kit for my MA6900 and plan to change out all the incandescent lamps for LEDs, the next time I have to open the unit for service. Thanks.
They now all use LEDS
Hi there, wich floor speakers do you recommend for that beast? I listen punk, metal, rock. Thanks for your time.
Big Elac's - Maybe FS409's
@@TLPCHC Thanks a lot.
How much does it cost? In Us dollars?
I don't know, maybe check the local HiFi stores.
I have klipsch heresy MK4 , someone propose me that beast for 4000 euros, is it really worth it?
McIntosh amplifier are superb. The 300w MA-9000 is the biggest integrated amplifier available, so it will contol any load and delivery amazing performance.
My choice
It is superb
Please stop doing this to me!!...
Make one yours. Hurry up. (there are smaller models if you want to start out softly)
