From what I've heard, Max did the same thing Valentina did in S9, she would take extra time getting ready putting herself in drag, and when the producers told her "we have to go now or else" Max flipped them off (not really) and pretty much was like "then go ahead and start without me, but I'm not leaving until I'm done". Heard the producers already being over her is why they didn't tell her she couldn't do Miranda Sings for Snatch Game until like the last minute, even though they knee that was Max's first choice.
@@darkmask5933 Well, Detox has also flipped on the producers for pressuring, but she never got that kind of edit.........thought the lipsynch song was supposedly switched last second.
It's crazy how gullible we are as an audience. We are actually influenced by an edit. I mean, they actually made people dislike Latrice. A former MISS CONGENIALITY. That's hella shady. And you're so right about season 3, it's actually one of my least favorite seasons because everyone came across as unlikeable. And the whole Boogers vs Heathers thing was ridiculous.
I think Tatiana only became nasty when she was defending herself or others. Of course she snapped back at Tyra for obvious reasons and Raven had some very nasty things to say about her because of jealousy.
agree. i think tatiana came off very well. she never looked nasty, at least to me. she’s prolly my favourite from that season, maybe apart from Jujubee.
I rooted for Tatianna a lot in season 2 cause she never really started the fights but she knew how to end them lol. The top 3 was weird because in the context of the show the only one that came across as a nice queen was Jujubee
The only reason we even need to talk about the edits is because Jeremi is right, the fandom (in general) feels entitled to own the queens, they think THEY own those fabulous characters and take everything personally. If the fans could behave themselves, then the queens could enjoy themselves more. Phi Phi has said in interview she knew she was getting the villain edit in S4 and was ok with that at the time, back then, like you said, DR didn't have outright "villains", we had Raven and the Heathers who were still loved afterwards for being 'shady'. Also, let's not forget the flipside, there are queens who admit they got an overly positive edit, even saying they don't want to do All Stars because they know they are not as nice as the show made them out to be, I.E. Bianca and Kim Chi.
This is one of the worst, most toxic fandoms, because fans are just straight up sending death threats and hate to REAL people, and hiding behind a screen to do it or just thinking there's nothing wrong with it. It's very disgusting
Right? Big Brother UK did her good...I even discovered her in Australian Idol and she was a sweatheart and I was kinda shoked that they edited her like thag in Drag Race
It's always so jarring seeing someone from Australia or NZ interact with Americans in a context like RPDR. It's like interacting with TV characters, and has this sort of surreal vibe, like with (in this case) Courtney Act interacting with the US queens.... could be a Martian landing on earth for the level of understanding going on XD
@@sophroniel yeah, I think the Americans receive NZ humour better than they do Aussie but not much haha. We do much better in Britain, Ireland and Canada! The dry wit and sarcastic self deprecation never goes down well in the US.
The thing with Max was that edit was so obvious. I never for a second found the way they framed her believable, especially that whole corset rigmarole. To me Max seemed lovely, talented, and sweet despite the weird editing
Well cancel culture wasn't as prevalent at the time. Behavior sadly has to change with the times. Also, it's not enough to say they shouldn't care about cancel culture (tho they shouldn't), but the fandom is very rabid so it's kind of understandable.
@@wetsock7790 That was just totally uncalled for (the threats to Kandy) even if if I think Kandy was in the wrong in that fight, there was no reason to send Kandy or anyone threats and at the end of the day, its a fucking tv show
You know what season I loved? UK S2. I liked that the girls supported each other. I liked Ahora getting redemption even if she was gonna be a lil shady still. I loved the SISTERHOOD.
I remember other queens saying that when Courtney said things they would edit out the other queens laughing so it looked like she was being mean instead of funny,
I mean it’s literally in the contract that they can misrepresent you “for dramatic purposes” yet fans buy the edit, call people telling the true conspiracy theorists and ruin queens’ lives.
Ngl yara alxis and stacy were never nasty if i remember well, the only time yara and alexis blew up was in the ball bc manila and raja were being favoured in their faces
You should watch the Kennedy Davenport: Exposed interview that was just recently put out. I've always liked Kennedy, but it really gives you an insight on how the edit misportrayed her on s7
Season 1, Akashia got the 'villain' edit. Particularly the Girl Group episode and her subsequent critique where she was rolling her eyes and she was read to filth, plus all the bitchiness and coldness she exuded throughout the season. I'd still love to see Akashia return however. She was a character!
The way that they treated the Vixen has never sat right with me. They tried to paint her as ‘the angry black girl’ character and it just felt like internalised racism from the producers.
As a Black girl, I agree, but I also gotta call Vixen out. She came into the doors saying “Im here to fight!” and said it really aggressively. How did you think the White audience was gonna take that? You can’t perpetuate that kind of stereotype and get angry when they paint you that way.
@@SLa-pb1gg Apparently she said it like that because they made her do her entrance over and over and over again and she got annoyed so that’s why she said it angry. Just something I’ve heard don’t know 100% but if that is the case makes sense why she said it annoyed
@@katetroughear7915 that may all be true but, we as Black people know how society sees us, as angry, mean, aggressive, argumentative, especially Black women. Vixen set herself up. It also didn’t help that she came off mean and argumentative in the show. Whether that was editing or how she is, idk. But then couple that with the angry tweets. It’s like..how much is editing and how much is this just...you.
Add Utica to this list plz. She had a worse edit than a villain edit, I don't know how even describe it, it was so weird why they edit her like that ALL season long
The only thing I got from Utica was excessive humor misfirings (Snatch Game, Soda challenge, Roast). She killed in the Rusicals and the runways (underrated IMO). Could you say more?
Another thing that I noticed when watching the AS5 talent show, was that not only did they not play Blair's backing track, they just used what the mic picked up, while Jujubee got her voice edited to sound like a studio track. You don't hear any of the echo or anything in Juju's performance like you'd hear in live singing, but you do in Blair's. It was REALLY shady.
I’m so glad to see you dissecting it a bit. It’s very easy to say “well, if you didn’t say it they wouldn’t have footage of it”, but there’s much more to it than that. Yes, they have footage of the queens saying those words, but what did we learn from Shangela in season 3 if not that they can then use those statements to craft any story they want. Ffs, it was because of Shangie’s changing clothing on a single,15-second talking point that they now require queens to choose one confessional look. So yeah, I know a lot of people are in heavily on that quote if you didn’t say it, they wouldn’t have footage of you saying it!“ narrative, but when editing is at play it’s much more than that.
Not sure if it’s been mentioned anywhere but on The Chop, Manila mentioned being in the UK quarantining for a “reality competition show” 😂 you’d wonder!
Jeremy outside drag race participates in Charity works and donates to Charity organisations. He always cares and respects his fans (even the rude ones) and is always listening to people who seek help. And yet lots of people only attack him for being the "villain" in a rrality competition show
AND a lot of people still bring up the way he treated Jiggly during their season, but if they would have checked either of their social medias, they'd see that they've long since made up and are still best friends now. very few things that happen on a reality show are so horrible that they permanently ruin relationships or someone's character like that.
About Latrice, I'm 99% sure she explained in the Exposed interview with Joseph Shepard that what happened with Monique is that while Monique was getting ready, Latrice was talking to her and Monique was not even looking at Latrice, which she took as Monique being disregarding and disingenuine, but all that was not aired, so they made Latrice look like crazy, really.
Latrice is always coming off entitled these days, and this little nugget of information only furthers that narrative about her. If somebody is getting ready and they're too busy to look at her, then she needs to either wait until they're done before having a conversation or she needs to not take it personally if they're preoccupied. The world does not revolve around Latrice. Yes, she became loved bc of her 1st season, but I feel like that got to her head and she now has this self-absorbed attitude and expects people to give her respect. Monique was probably not even being intentionally disrespectful. Every queen needs to be focused on her own journey in the competition & can't be holding other people's hands or kissing their feet. I love Latrice, but her pretentious self-importance was nauseating. I wish she would go back to being her humble, lovable self.
@@YourMajesty143 well, I was not there so I cannot say if Latrice is right or not when calling Monique disingenuine. I know queens talk while getting ready and actually look at each other. But I'm just saying what Latrice said. They were friends anyway, so 🤷♂️ it's just a matter of editing. They did Latrice dirty, whether she was right or not.
Opinions on Each of these Queens: - Jaremi fka Phi Phi: I definitely noticed that in S4 they did reuse clips of them rolling their eyes like when Willam won and they rolled their eyes but if you slow down when the camera was on Willam you can see them putting out their hand to congratulate them. I think Jaremi was right a lot of the time but the issue was they didn't need to say it - Roxxy Andrews: Roxxy seemed like the were kinda playing into the villain role and was stressed during the competition. - Darienne Lake: Darienne kinda had the same edit as the bitter old lady brigade - Courtney Act: The only thing I question with this is then why did Joslyn's confessional feel like they were actually kinda mad at Courtney - Kandy Ho: That whole edit is super weird and I wonder why exactly they did that - Max: It was a weird edit to give her but I honestly didn't think much of it. - The Vixen: I think it was The Vixen tone rather than what they said and the fact all the girls kept saying "don't poke the bear". Also her coming at fan favorites like Aquaria and Monet. Like I could not get behind The Vixen cuz they always were the first to start yelling and could be childish. - Milk: Judging by how Milk acts on social media I think it was more than just the edit. - Latrice: Yes they would keep putting the shady music over everything she said even if she was just talking about something random. I think though her personality shined through to me. - Blair St Clair: I honestly didn't know this but to be honest I did think that Cracker's edit was kinda weird on the season. They had her play the villain for like two episodes and then it was abruptly dropped and really never mentioned again.
People still have the vixen pegged wrong I see 🙄🤦🏿♂️ listen Linda, listen some people are more covert with their bullshit and ppl like Vixen are going to be themselves right, wrong, indifferent. I find The elephant Queen Eureka to be more problematic because she puts on an act as if she's confused as to why ppl are mad at her and other Queens have spoken out about her antics and not really fooling with her along with the Vixen. With the Vixen what you see is what you get, and I'll always appreciate that
@@Aced84 yes but you can’t then be mad at the edit when you and the other queens spent the season saying “don’t poke the bear”. I don’t dislike The Vixen but your in a room of strangers so your tone is gonna come off weird to them
@@justinbruce4126 @Justin Bruce I think it's more so 'I didn't just come out the gate swinging, I was responding to something'... But like I said with Jaremi on another thread she still chose to respond the way she did, they can't edit that, yet I understand her responses, you can't start stuff and then play victim, Aquaria learned that early on and they're good now. I'll just never forget when Eureka goated a reaction out of her, to see what the vixen was about like chile 🙄 who TF are you 🥴😂
@@Aced84 agreed but I got to disagree with the Aquaria part cuz The Vixen was the one that started the entire drama because she was in untucked egging Aquaria on about the Cracker drama and then turned around and tried to expose Aquaria as if she wasn’t trying to get more out of her.
"Go back to party city where you belong!" One of the most iconic lines from the show! I loved Phi Phi O'hara! I wish people would understand that realty TV isn't real and would stop sending queens so much hate. If you don't like a queen, put your energy into your favorite queens.
@@robertbeste Pretty sure the difference is that in reality tv the producers create "situations or scenerios" however the reactions are improvised rather than directly scripted like a traditional sit com/full feature film.
We all just need to chill and appreciate the queens! They don't have to be nice all the time! WE ARE not nice all the time! Let's appreciate them for what they are and accept that they are just humans! If you don't like somebody, just don't follow this person! For my part I love Jeremie, Tatianna, Max, Laganja and they other controversial characters... They had a big contribution in the franchise
When it comes to Jeremy, i belive for them the real problem, even more then the edit itself, was what happened after (whit the fans reactions and all that caused to them and their career as they said on AS2) and in particoular the fact the production never did nor said anything abouth it to even try to shield them (or any other queens that came after them) from that. Something the production keept on NOT doing until a judge (would you look at that) came under the fire with the Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman situation. Then they did said something, and Jeremey said very clearly on twitter that when they asked to said something, the production just didnt and ignored them, and it took 12 season + 3 all stars+ 1 UK+ blablabla AND the fact a JUDGE was the target this time for the production to just post a twitter asking the fans to please be more considerate and less, you know, morons. And a LOT of queens after Jeremy had to go through what they did, even more than on this list.Really can't fault Jemermy if you ask me, i mean, saing their right would be the understatement of the century, IMHO.
Yea I went back and watched season 4 and she really was insufferable, even when people tried to show care and concern she lashed out at them. She didn't handle her pain well and it didn't translate well, but whether someone gave her a reason to act out or say the things she said, she still chose to respond in the way that she did
@@Aced84 Sharon AND Phi Phi have both been on "Race Chaser" (with Alaska and Willam). They both said they played up their "feud" on purpose for TV. Remember on that season the queens weren't sealed in their rooms so they all mingled quite a bit at the hotel. Phi Phi knew she would be the villain and played it up to help the show... only for the show to leave her high and dry after.
Jeremi said in an interview that Season 4, they all knew that the drama was pushed towards Sharon to win. Hence why she was okay with causing drama because it would get both him and Sharon to the finale. All Stars she wanted to redeem herself and production insinuated she continue to be the villain.
I personally enjoy it when there are dynamics in a cast and when there are verbal fights between contestants. this is what makes reality tv so fun to watch. what I don't like and appreciate is, when it seems forced or staged (like Max' Edit on S7 or The Vixen's edit on S10) or when it comes across inauthentically. And tbh I am glad, that these queens spoke up about their edit on the show - aside from their intentions in clearing their names - but also due to giving context we wouldn't have in order to somewhat understand their portrayal on the show. What I furthermore absolutely dislike is that the production forces them to say/do things they wouldn't say or do just to make tv. It's rude (hi Asttina btw.) and somewhat objectifies the person which is the downside of reality tv, I guess. Also as in movies, the villains have way more character depths than the heroes and are written with more detail and complexity, which also can be applied to the queens mentioned in the video. It is also needless to say that in the case of Milk she explained on hey queen(!) that their laughter after quotes like ""Touch the fashion' is going to be bigger than RuPauls's 'Supermodel'" was edited out to further her story arch, or that throughout the show they oftentimes had clarified that she is just joking but also those things were edited out.
I would recommend watching U (uckey lee) video on the mistreatment of phi phi, they spoke about and showed proof of how they edited phiphi to make her look bad on all stars 2
Drag race desperately needs to get rid of the Villian edit. It’s made the fandom more toxic. I think it’s bs that black deaths and a year of protests made people wake up and realize the vixen was right. I’ve met 2 rugirls with the Villian edit, The Vixen and Raja O’hara. By far the SWEETEST Rugirls I’ve met. I’m quiet, autistic and awkward, you could tell there was stuff on my mind. Raja came right up to me like I was her long lost best friend and started talking to me. The Vixen is equally as amazing. My brother had a run in with Jeremi (phi phi) years after drag race, she was hanging out with I believe farrah moan and they invited him to hang out. He still games with Jeremi from time to time. I hate these edits because they encourage bullying. Words hurt and even though Jeremi was nice to my brother at least at the time, signs showed that she was still struggling with what happened and this was a fee years AFTER As2 and before she stopped going by Phi phi.. Villian edits decieve viewers and harms the queens. In an age that we are demanding better, what are we not demanding better for drag race. Is a Villian edit worth risk harming the queens when we all love drag and need to do what’s best for the people we give a shit about? The way Elliot got treated this season she was called out for racism and yet weeks later several black queens came out about fans calling them n***, the way kandy is getting treated, black queens being called n**** by people who would throw a fit if you called them a f**, editing has helped made this fandom toxic. Sherry Pie and Soju got less hate and they are the 2 queens that people have a legit reason to hate and people don’t hate on them as much. Demand better and get rid of the Villian edits and do something about the toxic fans.
The Elliott drama this season is by far one of the worst ever. So sad to see Kandy being bullied due to things Elliott has done and said. Hope this will be addressed in the reunion so Kandy somewhat gets a redemption out of all the bs that happened this season. What makes this even more worse is the fact that rpdr is a show founded by a black person and therefore I would've liked to see more love towards black queens in general but also more awareness-raising towards the black community in someway shape or form. Thank god, Symone somewhat addressed it with their outfit in the fascinator category.
I understand what you mean with "The Villain Edit", but at the same time some queens just have it into them just to be the villain while they are competing because that competitive edge just comes out. I am quite sure that Jeremy/Phi Phi is a nice person on camera and I am glad that she became friends with your brother. But, we saw how she acted towards her friend Jiggley & fellow competitors Roxxy and Alyssa. We can all agree that that was her. Now if she said that the production crew TOLD her to use trickery and to "get into the heads" of her competitors to make them doubt themselves and that is truly wrong, and I think we call all agree that we fans would just stop watching after that. But seeing how she acted... sorry, but again... that was her. Also, why did Soju get any hate????? She wasn't even on the show long enough. I don't get that. Did she did something wrong on or off camera????? I can't remember. :/
@@robynsegg Jeremi/PhiPhi is such a nice person from what I‘ve heard from queens that worked with her in bars etc. and I think they personally told that they realised that competitions or rather the competive nature does not work for them. The problem with Soju is that she faces some sexual misconduct allegations.
Alexis had a couple of those transphobic comments though. Shangela too, but for the most part yeah, at the time that wasn't enough to get you on the shit list. It helped that they were being called "Boogers" so they constantly got an automatic underdog edit.
I still enjoy Drag Race. But now I basically dismiss anything I see outside the actual challenge and runways as "fluff". I don't trust it whatsoever. I just watch to see the talent and sickning looks.
The past year had been a full character arc with Vixen. She really put her platform to good use with BLM and Chicago drag in general. Her digital drag show is fire and her latest album is actual fire, and the accompanying videos are conceptual and IT SLAPS
this also happened on survivor (the purple edit, named after purple kelly) and i just really love the irony of only being remembered for not being memorable
There was a clip of a roscoes viewing party with Eureka and Kameron Michaels where they did the audience questions part and one girl asked them about how the show edits the queens and what their opinion on how they were edited was and Eurka put her mic down on the table next to her and picked up her drink and Kameron just tossed her mic to the ground and they just sat there lmao
Bitch, I was just thinking to myself «when will the next mangled episode be released», and THEN there was a notification in my inbox AND IT SURELY WAS EXACTLY THIS😻🥰
I don't think Tamisha got a bad edit (she's beloved!), but it seems like the producers didn't know what to do with her -- I felt she got pushed out far too early. I suppose it won't be long before we know.
I'm honestly more interested in what was going on with Priyanka's contract because she just said she dropped whoever she was previously signed to for a new company and is now part of the big UK Tour that Todrick Hall is headlining. Also - anyone else think it's weird that Symone's name is bigger and at the top of the flyer with the other headliners and Kandy Muse is down in the regular list..? Like either they know she's gonna win or they're just openly biased in the UK 😂❤ I don't really know though, Dahlia is going and it looks like they're performing solo and then also together as their Haus so that could be why..? since Symone is only performing once..? Don't mind my ramblings but I wish someone would talk about that event LOL
I did love that ice blue number she wore. When I think of her that’s the visual that comes to mind. She’s very talented and I’ve watched her on other non US shows. I think it was the switch. Gia was on there too. She was just as shady there lol
The Vixen's edit still makes me mad. You could see her trying to avoid the "angry black girl" edit, and she still got it. She honestly barely even did anything to Eureka and didn't deserve her edit. I don't blame her for walking out of the reunion, and Asia's reaction was just heartbreaking.
i kinda wish y'all would sit next to each other and put the graphic to the side cause it seems like an awkward way to have a conversation side-eyeing each other from 4 feet apart lmao
If I remember right there’s a HeyQween of Latrice talking about the edit and the talent show with the flags and she was talking how amazing it was. But in another video one of the queens brings up that Lateice dropped her flags and that the comment about being a hot mess from Gia was about Latrice. I just wanna sit behind a mirror and watch all this stuff. Lol
Love mera. But think it’s funny she can make an episode and acknowledge people can be edited to look good or bad but not realize they are falling for clever editing on the current season #justsaying
I don’t think Ru appreciated Kandy Ho making jokes or calling out Tempest for her age. That was very immature and inappropriate and Ru is no youngster. (Me neither😫)
I heard from a Friend of Mine that they gave Latrice the Villan edit because she started her own managing company and some of the Ru girls were signing to it.
Personally, Courtney Act has the weirdest edit I've seen on the show (Miz Cracker on AS5 is a close 2nd) Although she was doing well in the competition, her edit never screamed "winner" or "Top 4" for me. There were two episodes I can remember while watching S6 live that made me forget that Courtney was even still in the competition. Because her confessionals were placed in awkward places that didn't fit any narrative. And then they tried to do a villain storyline and must've completely scraped that with her. It doesn't make any sense to me. It really puzzles me to this day.
I think it's because the producers originally cast Courtney and Adore for an Idol rivals storyline in S5. Courtney had trouble with some of the paperwork so she wasn't able to come to casting talks, so they just kind of planned to transplant the rival singers storyline into S6 by also not casting Adore for S5. This turned out to be a good thing considering how packed with talented queens and the Alyssa-Coco feud it ended up being. The only inklings of this storyline being present on S6 are the first few episodes up until the Rusical which pits the two of them against each other. Since Adore wins the singing challenge and her storyline shifts to her relationship with Bianca and Laganja, Courtney is left without a very good storyline. The producers try to pull out some weak ass drama between Joslyn and Courtney, but it really seems overblown and is pretty quickly dropped. The only thing for the producers to do is to make Courtney shady I guess. What doesn't help is that the show starts trying to convince us that Courtney is a cold person and doesn't want to show any of her vulnerability. I remember being surprised when she made it all the way to the finale, when I originally watched it, just because of this weird inconsistent storyline she had on the show.
I agree the new big part of the fandom ( skinny young yt kids )don’t respond to Kennedy’s personality but any older person or even black person from my experience loves and understands Kennedy’s personality
When you audition for reality tv, you go through several interviews with producers during which they ask very specific questions that make it clear as day which character you are being cast as (the bitch, the fake one, the sad one, the sob story, the redemption, the filler, the boring one, the happy one, everyone’s friend, etc...) so unless drag race is different from other reality shows, it would be pretty obvious what they want from you based on your casting. They can’t use what you don’t give them. This is why some queens make it to finals and get told they weren’t right for THAT season (the role was already cast, or they want that character for a different combination) and then get called back at a later season to fulfill that role. This is first and foremost a television show for entertainment purposes and these “edits” are obvious and to be expected. No tv network is investing millions in a reality show to have everyone be boring and friendly with eachother
Honestly season 3 was one of my top seasons because there was no clear villain-hero dynamic. Both the boogers and heathers had some good and bad in them, which I felt was extremely compelling.
It’s such a shame that the fandom is so gullible and toxic. I loved kandy muse on her season because she was being her authentic self and it reminded me of old rpdr. But I’m sure people sent her tons of hate each episode. We saw how cautious queens are in later seasons(Utica stands out to me in particular) because they are terrified of a villain edit or offending someone for the smallest reason. While I love icesis couture, Canada s2 felt so dry and fake because everyone(besides icesis, prob suki if she lasted longer) seemed so fake because they were scared to be cancelled. Such a shame
I'm happy someone mentions that Vixen wasn't nearly as bad as the show portrayed her, sure she had a couple fights with some people, but she was right in almost all of them, the only one where I'd say it was her fault was in Snatch Game (ep07) when she calls the girls disloyal bitches, but in the rest she was the one provoked, or in her own words "Poked the bear", since Aquaria did create that "Angry black woman" narrative (idk if it was her intention tho) and Vixen was right to call that out, and in Untucked ep04, Eureka was just looking for a night, she could have just said that she was gonna go get a smoke without saying she was tired of Vixen
To anyone who is saying things like "She said the words", I'd advice you to watch Zoe Alexanders video about the X-Factor. TV-Producers are masters of manipulation, it's not just about the edit.

Jerami already confirmed that the fight with Sharon was real (Sharon accusing someone of not having family values after the story of her family past being known I’d be mad too) In all stars 2 it was so clear how heavily it was edited to make jaremi look bad like all those “shady” moments had no confessionals from they’re perspective...
Utica is the most recent victim of the villain edit yet everyone, including review channels, fell for it and joined in on the hate train. Such a shame.
I didn’t. I actually like Utica. She just has this really beautiful smile and during their group song they sang I remember one scene where she’s smiling big and every time I think how beautiful it looks. And I watched this clip she did about herself and she was so funny in it. I just love her personality and she is so pretty. Screw RuPaul for making her look bad!
Phi Phi reminds me so much of myself. I could never deal with being on reality television or the social media backlash. Phi Phi is so talented and creative, she deserves better
I have always wondered about Jeremi not showing up to the season AS2 reunion, though. Bussy Queen just did a contract read, so we’ve now had access to three different additions of the contracts that the queen sign, and every one of them requires them to show up to the reunion and finale. So was he fined? How did they handle that situation?
Well, Jaremi and Sharon did mention that they did talk about trying to play up the drama after they made up. Jaremi did say that she wanted to play up a character and did say she liked playing as a villain. The only that was not okay is the reaction to all that from people and getting death threats. It's a reality tv show and there are characters that are kind of assigned for people play.
Max girl, that edit was weird for no reason. I wonder who she pissed off in production.

Courtney is an absolute darling and fell victim to the edit of her Dry Australian sense of humor.
Right? Big Brother UK did her good...I even discovered her in Australian Idol and she was a sweatheart and I was kinda shoked that they edited her like thag in Drag Race
Correct
Courtney is so elegant and sharp
I would love for Max to come back and get this redemption moment!

Well cancel culture wasn't as prevalent at the time. Behavior sadly has to change with the times. Also, it's not enough to say they shouldn't care about cancel culture (tho they shouldn't), but the fandom is very rabid so it's kind of understandable.

I remember other queens saying that when Courtney said things they would edit out the other queens laughing so it looked like she was being mean instead of funny,
Watch Bussy Queen’s recent video regarding their contracts.......very enlightening on how much control WOW has over the queens.😫
TL;DR is: WoW owns basically every aspect of a queen's career once they join the cast
Its down right scary the control they have people and their images for an infinite amount of time
I mean it’s literally in the contract that they can misrepresent you “for dramatic purposes” yet fans buy the edit, call people telling the true conspiracy theorists and ruin queens’ lives.
Every single time I watch season 7 I'm always shocked by how long Kandy is on the show lol I always think she's like the 2nd or 3rd to go home
Its crazy how it looks like Tempest got more screentime than Kandy

Season 1, Akashia got the 'villain' edit. Particularly the Girl Group episode and her subsequent critique where she was rolling her eyes and she was read to filth, plus all the bitchiness and coldness she exuded throughout the season.
I'd still love to see Akashia return however. She was a character!
The way that they treated the Vixen has never sat right with me. They tried to paint her as ‘the angry black girl’ character and it just felt like internalised racism from the producers.
She did was angry a lot
@@page394potter8 ‘she did was angry a lot?’ ILLITERATE!
The point of watching this show is that, if you don't like one Queen, don't take it too personal, don't write to them :)
Opinions on Each of these Queens:
- Jaremi fka Phi Phi: I definitely noticed that in S4 they did reuse clips of them rolling their eyes like when Willam won and they rolled their eyes but if you slow down when the camera was on Willam you can see them putting out their hand to congratulate them. I think Jaremi was right a lot of the time but the issue was they didn't need to say it
- Roxxy Andrews: Roxxy seemed like the were kinda playing into the villain role and was stressed during the competition.
- Darienne Lake: Darienne kinda had the same edit as the bitter old lady brigade
- Courtney Act: The only thing I question with this is then why did Joslyn's confessional feel like they were actually kinda mad at Courtney
- Kandy Ho: That whole edit is super weird and I wonder why exactly they did that
- Max: It was a weird edit to give her but I honestly didn't think much of it.
Jaremi fka Phi Phi definitely got the short end of the stick when it came to the edit, especially with reusing clips on S4.

She didn't handle her pain well and it didn't translate well, but whether someone gave her a reason to act out or say the things she said, she still chose to respond in the way that she did
@@Aced84 she was very insufferable but let's be real... she made Sharon's win feel so much better
@@Aced84 Sharon AND Phi Phi have both been on "Race Chaser" (with Alaska and Willam). They both said they played up their "feud" on purpose for TV.
Was there vodka in those mugs!? That intro was chaos and I loved it 😂
I would recommend watching U (uckey lee) video on the mistreatment of phi phi, they spoke about and showed proof of how they edited phiphi to make her look bad on all stars 2

this also happened on survivor (the purple edit, named after purple kelly) and i just really love the irony of only being remembered for not being memorable

Maybe it's too son but I think we can already add Tamisha Iman to this list hahaha
I don't think Tamisha got a bad edit (she's beloved!), but it seems like the producers didn't know what to do with her -- I felt she got pushed out far too early. I suppose it won't be long before we know.

It's bad for the queens, but definitely good for the viewer. As sort of should be.
It was disturbing in my opinion.
I really cannot remember a single thing Kandy Ho did besides lipsync, but she wore it out every time!
Mera fussed or stroked her wig 187 times in this video. 😮
i kinda wish y'all would sit next to each other and put the graphic to the side cause it seems like an awkward way to have a conversation side-eyeing each other from 4 feet apart lmao
Lol

The edit on the word "edited" at 20:25 was gold.
Aiden Zhane's music videos better be in that top 20 list 👀 or at least one of them
Wait I thought Brita was also pretty mad about the edit she got with Aiden.
Raven was the villain in season 2... she was mean and nasty. Tyra just threw shade which is a part of Drag!!! I still don’t like the Heather’s!!
I don’t think Ru appreciated Kandy Ho making jokes or calling out Tempest for her age. That was very immature and inappropriate and Ru is no youngster. (Me neither😫)
6:50 you're forgetting the og villain, Rebecca Glasscock
I heard from a Friend of Mine that they gave Latrice the Villan edit because she started her own managing company and some of the Ru girls were signing to it.
Personally, Courtney Act has the weirdest edit I've seen on the show (Miz Cracker on AS5 is a close 2nd)
Although she was doing well in the competition, her edit never screamed "winner" or "Top 4" for me.
It doesn't scream "villain edit" to me either, it's just a really weird edit like they didn't know what to do with her
I agree the new big part of the fandom ( skinny young yt kids )don’t respond to Kennedy’s personality but any older person or even black person from my experience loves and understands Kennedy’s personality
I really hope if you ever do RPDR, you know what your story is so you can push that edit
Honestly season 3 was one of my top seasons because there was no clear villain-hero dynamic. Both the boogers and heathers had some good and bad in them, which I felt was extremely compelling.
It would never happen but this would be an amazing all stars cast
I've only just discovered you recently and am going back in time and catching up on all your commentary. Love you dolls 🥰
Can we talk about Utica, the girl got Vixen'd, Kandy Ho'd, Milk'd, Max'd all at once, like wtf? how IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE
I'm telling you right now: 'Excuse the beauty' better be on your top 20 list! Otherwise....nothing will happen 😁. I'll just be sad
I actually liked the Vixen from watching Untucked. She laid down the facts

Jerami already confirmed that the fight with Sharon was real (Sharon accusing someone of not having family values after the story of her family past being known I’d be mad too)
In all stars 2 it was so clear how heavily it was edited to make jaremi look bad like all those “shady” moments had no confessionals from they’re perspective...
Max deserved so much more...smh. I hope he makes a grand comeback.
Some days ago she posted in her instagram story, in her birthday, I hope she makes a come back
Utica is the most recent victim of the villain edit yet everyone, including review channels, fell for it and joined in on the hate train.
I freaking love this show!
Phi Phi reminds me so much of myself. I could never deal with being on reality television or the social media backlash. Phi Phi is so talented and creative, she deserves better
for the best music videos adore delano’s 27 club better be number one
Just got back from getting my second vaccine and this is how I’m celebrating haha.
I met Jeramie and she was actually remarkably kind. One of the actually warmest queens I have met
Hey Mera & Scarlett. Thanks for the shout out 😃😃👍👍
Loved the energy at the start of this episode! 😂
#blameitontheedit✨
Love the outfit Mera -- it reminds me of Miss Pax Vobiscum
