    A beautiful work!
I read some nasty remarks in the "comments". There is a great diversity in Human tastes and psychological inclinations.
There are some who have a subjective leaning: there are others who have an objective leaning.
The former employ feelings to create a musical work, but ate besieged by the persistent problem of being deficient in their command of technical devices, as well as, possessing a good arsenal of such devices; the latter are constantly besieged by the danger of constructing works that are cold, as Music itself, is, the most subjective experience of all, but, without an ever-growing arsenal of ever more creative "technical devices", ANY, composer shall arrive at a "train wreck" of not being capable of, RECREATING, his inner, and, innrmost feelings in SOUND!
Personally, I am a "subjective as hell" Romantic! However, I get a "sinking feeling" whenever I encounter a work shabbily(sic?) constructed from recycled, "rehashed"---- CLICHE'S!
Nonetheless, I enjoyed Foerster's Stabat Mater, so, so, much!!!!
His "sound world" is---- "right up my street"!!!!
Finally, in launching a critical assault upon a Work of Art, everyone must also have become familiar with the remainder of the composer's output.
I ha "discovered" Foerster just now, in this very video!
I am not in the cognitive, and, MORAL, position to pass judgment on the whole production of a composer!
All I know is that I ENJOYED HIS PIECE---- "QUITE A BIT"!!!!

This has to be one of Foerster's better scores. Most, if not all of his orchestral music is, in my opinion, some of the most boring music ever written. But this works very nicely, and in under 20 minutes!!

Boring? Using a single word, very simple indeed, do you judge and condemn the hard work of a composer, David A? You have the right not to like the works of a composer, but when everything he wrote sounds boring, the problem might be you ... or your boring life ... Be happy, man!

@@amaralvieira2274 Ha ha. If you read my comment properly, I'm actually praising this work! The problem I have with this composer has nothing to do with MY life I can assure you of that. I wrote a thesis on this composers' music 30 years ago that gained me a Masters Degree at the Royal Academy of Music in London. So I ask you to be happy for me about that.

@@DavidA-ps1qr OK, I probably misunderstood your comment and I'm sorry for that. I would be very interested in reading your thesis on Foerster. Is it available on any Internet site? Best regards.

@@amaralvieira2274 That's fine Amaral, I was pretty vague it has to be said. I certainly didn't want to go into the finer details.......certainly not on You Tube. No hard feelings.
I will try and look it out and let you know. Best regards David A.

@@amaralvieira2274 I do however remember making some pertinent comparisons of Foerster's music with those of his fellow countrymen who were writing at the same time. Namely Josef Suk (1874-1935) & Leos Janacek (1854-1928). I'm not sure if you've ever listened to a piece from each of these three composers back to back. It's an interesting exercise :-)
