There's a subwoofer integrated in the rear deck. One of the best BOSE systems I've heard has been in an infiniti Q50 with the performance series (2017+) with deep lows and crisper than normal highs for a BOSE audio system I disagree that the zeroed out settings are what's supposed to sound best however. It's about tuning the available settings to your taste, and making sure the system can handle the maximum of those settings without distortion across many genres. Specifically, bass and volume.
Yes, the Sonata has a sub in the rear deck. I drove an infiniti q60 with that stereo. I think it was the loudest stock system around. Certainly in cars under $100,000. I agree about the settings. You can't get accurate sound with everything flat. Some cars are tuned way to low/high.
I subscribed! You are the only youtuber that loves music and focuses on automotive sound system. This is a significant selling point for many people when buying a new car. Thanks Tophers brother/friend/dude!
So I’m assuming Bose updated that for the 2022 model year because mine even says on the paperwork that it has a subwoofer included in those 12 speakers
I just test drove the sel plus with a similar sound system. I must say that the bass was really thumping. In fact I thought it should have been turned down a touch. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
For personal listening, we do. But audio engineers set what they think is the ideal sound as default, so to compare system to system, we demonstrate at default settings. Also, what you think sounds good and what I think sound good could be very different. At least at default, you're getting what the manufacturer thought sounds good, not just us.
I couldn’t agree with you more, I just got a sonata hybrid, 2023, the Bose sound system sucks, never, never never put a speaker in the center of your stereo speakers, it will completely distort the stereo effect. The last two sonatas I’ve had, this is my third, have always had great sound systems, these engineers think they’re so smart, but they don’t have the slightest idea of what makes good quality music, and that includes soundstage, separation clarity detail, etc; thumbs down on the new Sonata Bose sound system. What a big disappointment.
I have this car and love the sound system, although, when I am playing music, it is very noticeable on the outside of the car and it is very loud and annoying. Is this normal for all of the Hyundai Sonatas?
My brand new 2021 sonata’s speaker top right side door sounds like It’s blown out. And it’s like a cracking noise I don’t know if it’s a connection issue or anything not related to that. Comment down below to give me ideas what it could be. I’ve tried everything.
I have an 8 speaker infinity system in the 2015 limited and I thought it was much better than the one in the new sonata. It's the only reason I won't buy the car
The moment you said no subwoofer yet it has a 9 inch subwoofer in the middle Of the rear deck I stopped listening since you obviously have no clue wtf you are talking about.
One of the worse you've tested in my opinion. You don't get to listen so clearly to all the instruments as you do in the Mercedes Burmester or Volvo B&W, don't you? I also listen to a very vague sound, not particularly detailed in any way, correct me if it's just me. No highs no lows, must be a Bose!
Finally someone who isn't afraid to play the music at a decent volume. So many "test" these systems without even having the volume up at all.

Reading your comment, I said this is my interest.
You most definitely can tell the bass in the songs plus it does have an enclosed subwoofer in the rear. Great review as always!
Love your audio reviews ❤️❤️

Doesn’t have bass? Are you on drugs??? The bass is crazy!
So i discovered if u turn off adaptive volume , base gets better and of course Spotify sounds way better then fm or xm.

Unless it is your mic boosting the lows, with my sennheisers on, the bass sounds quite nice.
it’s because sennheisers have really good lows
Why would you limit yourself to default settings only? Why not play around with the low/mid/high settings until you find the best spot?

The Bose system in the Sonata vs Mazda 6. Which sounds better?

The sub is in the Deck
The bass is quite balanced tbh
Ps: im waiting for the jbl system in the supra
Soon. Spoiler: It's quite good.
I have the SEL 2020 model without the upgraded sound system. Any suggestions? It's not only bad. It's horrible!!!

Thank you man , keep it up
Yet another great job, keep up the good work
Nah. I just got a brand new Sonata. Speakers are baller af. Dont listen to this fool😂
It’s loud ?
Great Review! Mirror shaking bass is overrated.
How many watts is the 12 speaker Bose system?
What's the watts?
Can you test Renault Talisman bose audio system? Plss
Unfortunately we're in the United States and don't have access to Renault :( If we ever go overseas, we sure will!

I would just take it in to the dealer.
Lol I had the same problem in my 2020 limited, I took it to the dealer, and they ordered a part. However, it somehow fixed itself and never came back.
What is the name of track playing at 2.47
how much power this sound system? 1000w?
For my 2023 its 2400W total including 2 subs
some rock & Roll please?
I have an 8 speaker infinity system in the 2015 limited and I thought it was much better than the one in the new sonata. It's the only reason I won't buy the car
Hate Bose audio in cars..... most especially in their mainstream cars... idk how their panaray system is though
The moment you said no subwoofer yet it has a 9 inch subwoofer in the middle
Of the rear deck I stopped listening since you obviously have no clue wtf you are talking about.
So I'm assuming the Bose in the Altima sounds better
Yes
@@DailyMotor yes it does
Personal opinion: Bose has always been an "as seen on tv" gimic.
Very poor separation and sound stage, detail is lacking, base just OK...it's just sound everywhere, big deal! thumbs down!

LOL true
It kinda sounds like phone speakers
I love Bose but disappointed now to see them in a Hyundai.
dumb
Why?
Why, if anything that just means that Hyundai is moving up in the world
Not as gd as the Bose
It is Bose
What video did you watch?
