Those food are mainly made from Tonga but accept the fish coconut one. And for the Lu theTogan one is right,You mixed the taro leaves with meat. And last but not least the drink called "Otai".....Thank. xox
As a Samoan I can describe Taro similar to fufu where you use your hands and eat it with everything in Samoan "fufu" means something else though 😂

Your accent is off the chain....just love listening to you talk....lol

Love this video!!!
Thank you for your support lovely girl 🤍
Samoan food makes you think clearly in the morning. And a bit sleepy about 8pm at night. Palusami and taro makes you so strong you sometimes can't think clearly when someone has a go at you! Careful eating them on Sundays.
Hellooo!! Thank you for taking a step into our land and enjoy it 😂🥰
So good to see you pursue this!! So up your alley!
1. Sapasui (Chopsuey)
2. Faiai Elegi & Taro (Sardines)
3. Lu Sipi (Tongan) Luau (Samoan) & Cassava
4. Panikeke (Pancakes)
If you ever do a part 2; here’s some more island cuisine food for you to try!
- Oka (Rawfish)
- Kekepua’a (Pork Buns)
- Fa’alifu Fai (Banana)
If you’re wanting something sweet;
- Pai Fala (Half moon pie)
- Panipopo (Coconut Rolls)
- Koko Alaisa (Samoan Cocoa Rice)
There are many places out west, just gotta know where they are 😆
Hope this helps🥰
Girl thank you so much for this comment! The places we visited barely had anything 😭
But thank you for listing the items! I’m super keen to try pork buns and the coconut rolls!
We’ll definitely be doing a part 2 soon because the food was so good 🤤
Once again thank you for watching girl xx
@@daniellamatondo #2 was mackerel in coconut milk w/onions. easy dish
Hawaii has Samoan food, you guys can eat Taro either way, with your fork or with your hands. Us Samoan’s eats Taro with our hands. You guys should also try the banana called plantains, they have green skins and grey on the inside!
“as long as its food and it slaps and ur paying for it, i dont mind what we eat” period 😭 if that aint sister vibes idk what is 😂
🌺🌺🌺 WOW, GLAD YOU LOVE THE TASTE OF THE SAMOAN ISLANDS!!!
Y’all made me hungry watching you two eat these 🤤 and it’s 3am 😩
Mean vid galssss, tongan food is dangerous hahaha
I love this video! & you can eat it however! I do both depending how hungry I am 😂I think that is pilikaki (most likely mackerel) 😅yes taro is like our potato. I hope you ladies can try more Polynesian food & do this again! The drink is otai 😅you ladies are welcomed to the family reunion fasho 😂

With every bite the one on the right stealing my heart lmao. Come to Cali baby lol

Y'ALL sista's... Took that to heart and I'm not hatting.. But Y'ALL were brave to eat that pollynesian food.. To me that was entertaining of you ladies trying some food out of your culture zone.. Much love and stay strong...

Love your vid, u girls are a crack up at savaging each other 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 new sub here 💕💕💕
Breadfruit n Miki...alaisa faapopo, and so much more
Otai. Liu. Keke kale moa. Sapsui kapapulu omg love it all
Sometimes I eat taro with a fork or my hand, it's pretty much like our bread/rice. Hope you enjoyed it all. XD.
That’s Wssup love 🇹🇴🙏🏾
The fish in coconut sauce and onions, should be canned mackerel. Great job trying both Samoan & Tongan food dishes.
Y’all making me hungry lol I miss my moms cooking 😩🇹🇴
There's a Samoan shop in Henderson Valley called Taste of Samoa and there's one in front of the Henderson mall..but yeah that you ladies.❤
The fish is probably faiai eleni or mackerel cooked in onion and coconut cream 🤤
Also panikeke is so versatile. It can be plain or you can add banana or pineapple. It's delicious. The Polynesian's all have very similar dishes so you could easily say you've tried island food instead of Samoan food lol.. Eg. Luau (taro leaves, coconut cream and onions) is lusipi (taro leaves, lamb, coconut cream and onion in Tonga. Panikeke in Samoa is Keke isite in Tonga etc. So delicious 🤤
Subbed cause of this vid 🇹🇴
You 2 women are cute af your eating my type or style of food love it Uso love
The food look bomb.... That's what I like to eat after church
Lu pulu is corned beef in the lu
Lu sipi is the lamb one
And the pani keke is good when it’s plain and has butter on it and dipped in cocoa
If you are tryin samoan cuisine/pastry or so, unless you’ve already come across panipopo(coconut sauce drenched on to fresh rolls or buns). There’s ducks butt cooked with a a little thick consistency if a little sweet& savory soyu sauce known in Tongan as muipipi(moo-ee-bee-bee)) or I’m not sure what it is called in Samoan I think it’s similar. Anyway, we share similar pastry called pineapple or jam pie that’s shaped like a crescent moon. Another starchy food that’s great to eat with the Lu or sapasui or the tuna dish is called Mei(May) in Tongan or breadfruit or ulu(oo-loo) in Hawaiian, it’s cooked in coconut crème too. There’s poke(poh-keh), ota(oh-tah) in Tonga or Oka(oh-kah) in Samoan, or Poisson Cru(different way to make it in Tahiti), if you’re into raw fish with amazing sauces and rice together. The drink you just had is Otai(Oh-Die) i think, there’s a watermelon flavor one. There’s plain rain chips or there’s our Polynesian way of making curry chicken. Sorry lol I’ve already said a lot hehe. Also check our my fellow Māori fam, they have dou-boy with watercress. Just like all over the Pasifika islands we roast pigs and they are nice, juicy and crispy. Okay I’m done lol
In the islands the food is unbeatable! Cooked on site! Fresh!
Lil tip for panikekes dip that ishhh in the juicesss yummm
That lu sipi looks ifo 🔥🔥🔥
As Tongan, we share culture with Samoa... this is really good... should try the faikakai ngoua is from taro leaves
Filo here, Island food all day!😋
