I can understand him though. Small kitchen, more than likely underpaid. And it's clear his boss's are useless when it's swamped. As Taffer said. The owners said 'Fuck You' to the patron. The cook said "Fuck you" to the owners. One sits on his ass not doing much and the other gets hammered with his friends.

The fact that Taffer and Co get grouchy about the cook calling the customer an asshole while in a CLOSED KITCHEN? 90% of kitchens shit talk customers during service. This is absolutely normal behaviour.
@redoctoberfruit7253 as an owner you gotta either hire enough help. Or help them yourself. I spend a lot of time helping the kitchen when we get a big order. 1 to make sure it's made correctly and good quality, and 2 to make sure it's brought to the table in a reasonable time. Pizzas take a minimum of 20 mins from making it to going through the oven. Multiple pizzas of 5 or more 30 minutes + give or take. With a single belt conveyor oven.
Lol at the guy crying about having to make 11 pizzas. Even places like dominoes do that at least once a week 😂
I mean I'd be salty too if my kitchen (that I manned alone) got suddenly swamped with food orders knowing damn well I'm not being paid enough to deal with this shit by myself and seeing my boss get plastered with his buddies rather than helping me. I don't benefit from my hard work, my boss does and all he does is get wasted while I gotta deal with this big ass order, hell yea I'd be mad too.

As someone who works at Domino's, that big of an order is a bit of a pain, especially when its rush hour and you have ten other orders on the screen that you also have to get done in a timely manner. If you want an order that large or bigger we prefer it to be set at a specific time so we can make sure it's done quickly without interfering with other orders. We didn't get mad at the person who ordered 200 pizzas, they called a couple days before, we get frustrated when the order suddenly drops.

Plenty of prank orders where all the pizzas get made and the guys nowhere to be seen to pick it up/ pay so it's not crazy. Once it happens ones and it fucks food costs you take precautions.

In another episode Taffer tells his undercover guy to walk right into the bar kitchen, make himself a pizza and walk out with it. He does it and walks out of the bar in front of the owner with the pizza and pan it was cooked on, and the owner didn't blink.
I know that John has this tough guy persona, but when he gets mad when his experts and friends are mistreated by restaurant owners I feel like it's because he really genuinely cares about his friends and doesn't want to see them be treated poorly
The man is a professional. He can yell in my fuckn face all day if he is giving me his tried and true methods of success. He’s a success drill sergeant.

I used to deliver pizza and delivered 32 pizzas to a hospital once and 20 something to a school. No one complained.
Of course not, because normal pizza resturaunts know that THAT order is the ticket to success.
If you didn't order ahead of time so they can at least get things started an hour earlier then no one will complain. Ten pizzas no ones gonna complain that shits easy to do when its slow. However 30 pizzas that's a lot of pizzas going through the oven at once while you're also making the pizzas and then cutting and boxing. I no longer work at a pizza place but an order that size definitely needed a call ahead. Remember that minimum wage workers don't get profit share lol.

The bar at 13:00 I totally understand being in a rush because you have a show to see, but walking out on your bill is stealing whether or not the service sucks. If I got a show to see and I’m getting food before, I’m showing up AT LEAST an hour before even if the arena is across the street. Totally unrealistic to expect a bar to be able to properly serve a party of 10 people in less than 30 minutes. It takes at least 5 minutes just to get drinks, and having to wait for your bill is like 10 minutes when the server is having to serve 4-5 other tables.
I agree tho 30 minutes for 10 people plus other customers is kinda ridiculous
They should have more time and come earlier like a good 2 hours

I own a local pizza restaurant and 10 large pizzas at one time is quite a large order but nothing to complain about I usually help the Cooks if it's a big order. Plus the oven is a single row.

I used to run 2 ovens, 6 pies rotating in and out of each 1 guy helping me. If you have a good system, good dough, and proper prep, you can easily do 100s of pizzas a night.
Helps to have experience in the kitchen as well, but it seems most of these cooks don't have enough experience.
I remember how packed some of the local pizza places were, while running full delivery and catering. And they do a lot more than pizzas alone.
Even with a smaller oven, should be able to get 3-4 going at once, they are only mediums, and 3-4 would be prepped in wait asap. That's a good half hour or so for a dozen.

@@pfury67there was a pizza truck near my job that had 1 oven and cooked 1 pizza at a time, somehow they cooked pizzas faster than any of these bars. Granted they had a brick oven so that probably helped but still, 5 -10 minutes wait time just because they're prepped and ready for any order to come through.

Domino's has a policy that an order over $50 has to be paid via card, more for delivery driver safety but we also do that with pickup orders. Still pretty ridiculous for someone to say "you need to prepay".

Worked in pizza business before and have dealt with people making prank orders for pickup and delivery. After putting up with it for too long we made a rule to have all big orders pre pay to ensure they weren’t prank calling. Unfortunately some businesses have just come to that point

The second one with the cantina, the owners were pretty understanding, I mean obviously they knew that they were there for recon but i wasn’t upset about them, they were friendly and understanding and respectful. They listened to their criticism and didn’t freak out on them

How does a party of ten or more people come into a restaurant and expect to eat and drink within 30 minutes? Doesn't make any sense at all 😅 this isn't McDonald's. Even something like a pub burger takes a minimum of ten minutes to cook. Then add in appetizers and drink etc for the entire table. Your looking at a minimum of 20-30m before any food starts coming out

It's quite simple. You hire competent employees.
Most bars that are close to sports or concert stadiums serve food fast by having simple menu items. Ticket times average about 7 minutes. Foot traffic is crucial to those businesses. Bars that have no other attractions around tend to have better food to keep guests in, best I know is ticket times average 10-12 minutes.

There is no way to cook a burger or any sandwich from scratch in under 5 minutes. Unless it's a super thin McDonald's patty. On top of that, add in a large party of 15-20 people. Your looking at a 20-30 minute ticket time for a large table.

Yes its fast food. Also that only applies to bars with attractions around them like a concert venue or sports stadium. I also want to be clear that i have 17 years of restaurant experience. I'm very aware of ticket times. 20 -30 ticket times will drive away people if you came for appetizers and drinks. Restaurants i've worked at really push for under 20min for group and party size. Appetizers average 7 min while main courses average about 10-12 min depending on mods or allergies. Most of the prep work is done before doors open.
