The way these films are made is incredible. Animation, Camera and cuts are brilliant. Really well put together and the fact that it is rendered in real-time makes my jaw drop
The final renders were pushed through Path Trace, so not technically real time, but for the entire time we were working with client, doing revisions, etc, was all real time which made the CG work flow with a client incredible as they got to see a similar image right away, vs the old wire frame / gray scale days
@@milescable We're still relying on arnold at our company. Switching to redshift for Houdini was already a good step in the right direction but for previz I might want to look a little further into what Unreal has to offer. I am currently trying out Blender and evee and this almost real-time experience makes iterating so much more fun. But than you've got big fx scenes or those with millions of instance caches on the other hand side. That's still such a pain.
What you and the incredible team of impossibleObject are able to make is amazing Miles. Huge win for you, congrats!! Expecting the breakdown in the coming months :P
Daaamn, congrats to you and the team on completing this incredible project! I hope we can see more of your future content in actual commercial projects. (btw. the directors cut is the coolest version.) ^^
Hi! Well done! It's a pity to lose some quality with such youtube decoding for 1080p. You can use Topaz Video Enhance AI to upscale it to 4k. It would be a way better quality since youtube use another decoder for 4k video.

Beyond inspiring Miles. Do you have any pointers or directions to any decent learning material for glass in unreal? struggling to make windows and lamps looks nice.
Thank you so much! Glass is tricky - it looks wayyyy better in path tracer first of all. We use the glass in the automotive material pack (same pack we get all the car paint etc, it’s an insane pack and free) But sometimes glass is tricky and we actually will just use a glossy black plastic lol
I seen your Alfa Romeo video and now this one. This is a dream NEED I want to do in animation. 🥺 The thing is, I don't have these things at the moment. I don't know if I'll get this stuff but IF I do, you have no clue how happy I'll be. I have many more dreams, and this is one of them.
Wow, would love to see a breakdown on the driver shot with realistic flaring at :08. As a traditional dp dipping my toes into unreal your virtual camera work is amazing.
That shot is a real shot ;) any of the steering wheel or driver eye shots were shot on location at the track while the shot the other two live action spots! But really appreciate that, really trying to bring the real world cinematic camera moves to UE.
Wow, this is really great! I know it's a very general question, but any tips for a beginner wanting to learn this kind of things? Something particular that should be looked up, like rigging or a specific type of animation?
