Thanks for your honest review Rob. Always appreciated.
I’ve been enjoying your instagram posts with this one.
Thanks Rob, looks like a great lens at that price point.
Great review of this lens.
Thanks! 👍
Looks interesting, especially as it is a rectilinear lens, cheers!
For the price, this is hard to beat!!! Rob is very bad for my credit card!!!
Would you use this lense for nightscape?
I didn't test for that in this video, so I went out for a few minutes tonight in my backyard. There is very slight coma at f2 in the corners and almost none by f4. It's so wide angle that you really have to zoom in 5x to see it. So short answer is yes, no problem.
For micro four thirds users, is the Laowa 10mm f2 worth the extra money?
It's a lot smaller, so if you value size/weight then yes. Otherwise, I think the TTArtisan will do just as well. However, I've never shot with the Laowa, so check Christopher Frost reviews for both lenses. Get the one that meets your needs best.
How does this lens' image quality and sharpness compare to sony 11mm f1.8 ?
For stills, the sony is better at f2 and has autofocus. At f/5.6 about the same. If your budget allows, get the sony.
@@RobTrek Thanks for your answer. This really helps me consider
Which do you think is better between this lens vs Samyang 12mm F2?
I would get the TTartisans just for the extra 2mm. It makes a big difference.
My wide-angle of choice (MFT, rectilinear) is the Slr Magic 8mm f4.
in real test.. f8-f11 best.. f2 like a trash.. and one problem.. some place in picture (leaf or windows or something object) become lose detail.. become blur.. i donkt know why.. but some photographer have some problem too.. better lumix 12-32mm hahahaha
