Man thank you for not being another channel that only suggests “organic” ways to kill weeds. Some weeds you just need a good chemical and some action to get the job done right
Canada thistle is a perennial and the root that sends up plants are called a rhizomes. That is the most difficult to kill . The other the thistles are biennial and the first year it grows in a rosette stage and that is the best time to spray and kill it.
NE Ohio TTTF with Canadian Thistle infestation in my beds that is creeping into the lawn. Made this mistake of pulling them the first few seasons. I cut the stalk and hand apply GreenShoots foam applicator herbicide in the beds. The lawn I have used Allyn’s method of mowing and then some 2,4-D WeedBGon.
Does using 24D include Sowthisle? I just renovated my father-in-laws lawn but the Sowthistle came back after using preemergent? how can we control it without killing the KBG / PRG?
I kinda don't understand why he suggests a stand alone product when 'Lawn Week Killer' has 2,4D+Dicamba which is also effective on thistle? I just used some brush killer in a spray bottle (2,4D+Triclopyr) and it smokes the thistles out of the grass with a little squirt.
I get rid of the roots by injecting Adios organic weed killer with a syringe as deep as I can into them. Adios is very good because it doesn't harm the bees or humans like Roundup and all the other stuff can be. That stuff kills our bees and causes cancer in humans and our animals, bad stuff

Haven't used any -cides for 36 years, and don't plan to start. Will try 45pc vinegar.
