    Thank you very much, Hyi Lim! I followed your every step and finished hems on my first dress slacks. They actually had no hems at all - raw except they were overlocked. (which I had to cut off anyway)
    You taught me the Magic Hem on jeans and now hem on dress slacks. You are the best teacher!!!

    Hi! I've recently been trying to teach myself to sew (better later then never I guess) and it's been slow going, mostly because of my own fear of messing up...but my husband needed some dress pants hemmed last minute before a big event and we watched this video several times, even making notes when I got confused, I just knew I had to get it just right... and they turned out perfect! :) you're a wonderful teacher and thank you so much for the details and measurements and showing each step so clearly. I know it sounds dumb to be nervous and to need to go over this over and over, but it really helped me and now that I've done it I know I can do more and that's because of you! We can't thank you enough for not only help with the pants, but also helping me slowly gain bits of confidence. I look forward to watching your other videos and learning more!! :) thanks again!!

    Thank you Hyi. So clearly explained. I do not have a steam generator iron. How can I make crisp creases without causing shine on fabric? Would using a wood clapper help?

    • @Sewingeducationcenter
      @Sewingeducationcenter  8 лет назад +2

      Good question! A wood clapper will help but one other way is to 1) set the iron hot, 2) put a thin cotton fabric over the pants (like a handkerchief), 3) spray a little mist on the handkerchief, 4) iron the handkerchief covered pants. The cotton will add a layer of protection to the pants.
