      Maybe because the lack of waterfalls! Hahaha. This parking lot is insane, the area is definitely beautiful but gets a lot of use. I would recommend sneaking out to this area on a weekday.

    Nice trip ! I go up to the Emigrant wilderness a lot. If you guys don't mind hiking with an old dude flyfisherman, let me know and I'll take you'll to some good fishing lakes. Cheers !!

    Are you able to car camp here or do you gotta park and hike in?

    • @NickInNature
      @NickInNature  6 месяцев назад +1

      So, there is camping at the first lake (Carr Lake). I believe it's first come first serve, but you can't pull your vehicle up to the sites. They are a small walk. As far as the other Lakes in this video, you have to backpack/hike to them. Thanks for watching!

    Where do you park and what trailhead do you start with? Thanks

    • @NickInNature
      @NickInNature  Год назад

      There's alot of parking at the Carr Lake Trailhead, but this is a very popular area making parking congested. Happy Hiking.

    How hot was it mid day,how many miles round trip

    • @NickInNature
      @NickInNature  2 года назад

      It was around 80 degrees fahrenheit at its peak. This hike is pretty easy only 5-6 miles in and out.

    Do you need a permit to camp around these lakes ?

    • @NickInNature
      @NickInNature  Год назад +1

      Good question, this is a dispersed camping area. So it's first come first serve once you enter the area past Feeley Lake. If you are there when fires are in season and you plan to have one make sure to have a fire permit. Parking fills quickly.

    do you carry bear spray?

    • @NickInNature
      @NickInNature  2 года назад

      No sir, there are only black bears and I have never had a problem with them. With proper food storage they are not much of a problem.
