In this video I give my review of the new Mac Studio from June 2023. I talk about the design, performance, value, integration and fun level that leads into an overall review score.
Thanks for the review. I'm in the market for this unit but trying to decide whether to wait for M3 announcement and release time frame. Best of luck with your subscription goal. You're almost there!
that's always the tough part and why I usually try and get something at launch....because they are always going to come out with something better a year later. The M3 will probably be announced before the end of 2023....but given the Studio refresh launched in June 2023...I wouldn't expect an M3 studio until June of 2024 when they announce the M3 Max/Ultra. But you never know with Apple....that's just my guess based on previous launches.
@@jimdominick Agreed, M3 Studio is not likely right around the corner but an M3 Mini might have same or better performance as M2 Studio and be priced better. The rumored 3-nanometer architecture has my interest piqued. Thankfully the Studio is not a need but a want so I'll probably wait till the M3 announcement is made before committing either way.
Well, if it's anything like it was earlier this year (because I struggled between the Mac mini M2Pro and the Mac Studio M1Max.....the M3 Pro Mac mini will most likely have VERY comparable specs to the M2 Max from the current Mac Studio. But, once you upgrade the storage and the RAM on the M3 Pro Mac mini to match what's in the current M2 Max Mac Studio....their prices will be almost identical. And in most cases that Mac Studio will be cheaper since it will have been available already for 6-8 months and there will be sales. The issue I had was that the HDMI, Bluetooth and wifi were all better on this years mini vs. last years studio....but this years studio fixed that. The studio will always have more and better I/O's too (especially with the SD slot in the front and the USBC ports).
2 bits, add audio mastering to your videos, it's a click-drag in Premiere. I have to dial the volume way down which gets me slammed by any commercial inside/outside your video. Best wishes.
You desperately need a lavaliere microphone which would improve the sound immensely. Also, some type of sound absorbing items such a a bookshelf or a tree/plant would help absorb the echo. Sounds like you’re speaking at the bottom of a metal bucket.

I’m sure he’ll figure it out. RUclips suggested this video to me so he’s doing something right.
Great review. Invest in a wireless mic :)
