The 1980's was truly a great time to be a teen! I really mean that. You were catered to by all industries. Fashion, Video Games, Movies, Music you name it! It was sooo good to be young then. A real and true sweet spot in America's history. I still feel very blessed to have been a part of that time.
This used to be my favorite movie growing up and I still remember most of the songs! Good storyline, great characters, excellent music. Watched it over and over again.
Since "Teen Wolf" is based off a supernatural comedy from the 80s, imagine what would happen if "Teen Witch" became a series? However, a tv-show version of "Teen Witch" would probably look too much like "The Secret Circle," unless some changes were made to the original "Teen Witch" story to make it dramatic enough as a TV show without making it look like a rip-off of "The Secret Circle."
It was haha but still good. That random girls locker room dance outbreak was sooo... random. It kinda takes elements of other 80s movie later or sixteen Candles and that corny Footloose movie
I was thinking along the same lines. Last night I watched teen wolf. In the 80s that general script is what sold. I can see how other writers would model their scripts similar to one another. I was seeing the parallels with Teen Wolf.
A lot of 90 movies take their ideas from this type of movie andera like shoes all that and 10 things I hate about You the whole dancing during the prom
Wow I'm shocked I'm the only one who commented on this video. This was my absolute favorite movie! I still love it and I'm 31 now I was probably about 13 when I first seen it. I must of watched this over 40 times! I've been trying to find it on DVD at stores so I can add it to my movies. Can't find it Anywhere! Thanks for the memory!!
Sizeet But this one didn't give away the fact that Louise almost lost her best friend due to making her own wishes come true. Obviously the director of the movie didn't want to exclude the fact that sometimes using power to gain what you want can still have bad consequences.
Moral of the story.. if you're different and unique, change yourself to be like the popular kids and get some new friends. Wow, movie morals have really changed ;)
But honestly think about it after she like was no longer magic he still liked her but did he still really like her for her or because she was still quote-unquote the popular girl. Yeah what would have happened the next day after the dance was over and it went back to school. I think Brad would have liked her for herself. Because he was starting to like her anyways while she was tutoring him.
I think I watched this as a teenager in the early 2010s when I was really into Wicca; my therapist recommended it to me (warning me it was pretty corny). Like a lot of movies out there, it's bad, but it's fun! Also, is that the church organist from Sixteen Candles?
@Imani M Yeah she also has a brother who starred in a few movies like the Butterfly Effect 2. His name is Eric Lively. A big part of her family including her dad have been acting for a while...
The movie has too much of an everything but the kitchen sink approach to be compared to that. The musical numbers were clearly out of pure desperation.
It is because it was made by a tiny independent studio that likely hoped that if the movie flopped at the box office, the investment in it would be recouped through video rental sales.
You likely came across it the way most of us did when it aired heavily on premium cable. I can’t imagine any of the premium cable broadcasters paid a lot for this movie because of how much it flopped for a low budget movie and how much the studio that distributed it was sold soon after.
Yeah they have this movie on DVD a while back at Walmart I found it in the DVD basket.I watched it so many times that it started to skip .I'm going to buy another one . Totally 80s
jessica Weaver Robin Lively was great in this**** The 80s had some great movies Can't Buy Me Love, Teen Witch Teen Wolf, Explorers, I wish I was a witch so I powers too!
I miss the 80s so much b/c they had good movies back then and even the music wasn't bad and I have the movie and the soundtrack of this movie**** It was a cute movie with funny moments I couldn't blame her hating her English Teacher Mr. Weaver he was a dick! I had teachers like him back in HS
🥴 I'm just being honest here and being serious, I never liked which at all. However there is something about this movie I couldn't get enough of back then, I didn't care if it came on television 18 times I just had to watch. Also it's a 1980s movie Good times back then from 1980 to 1989. I wish we can go back to those times, back pain everything was easy and simple and we didn't have this much problems as well
35 years old! It got mixed reactions from critics when it came out and I saw parts of this on tv growing up Some say the film virtually has no plot and they barely resolve anything by the end It's full of unmemorable musical numbers, product plugs, bad montages, and a predictable outcome It inoffensive at best Yet it's gained a cult status over time and it has a bouncy score Did much better on home video and overseas even airing on Freeform yearly during the Halloween season Plus there have been many homages as well as parodies There is a lot of charm though from Robyn Lively even the late Zelda Rubinstein It's total 1980s it almost hurts hehe it’s just you’ll forget it very quickly
What is the name of the song when they were in an abandoned house or something and her and the popular guy were slow dancing...(I saw this movie a while back so I may be missing or adding unnecessary details to the scene)
Sabrina The Teenage Witch has existed as a comic since 1962. The character was adapted in cartoons in The Archie Comedy Hour and a series named after the comic. But this definitely was a movie that could have paved the way for the Showtime movie and ABC sitcom adaptations.

It’s still the same like that! Have you looked around lately? 😂😂😂
This used to be my favorite movie growing up and I still remember most of the songs! Good storyline, great characters, excellent music. Watched it over and over again.
Trailers from 1980 were basically reviews haha
Lol I'm 24 yet this one of my ALL TIME FAVE movies! Idc what people say: this movie is AWESOME!
I was 7 when this came out! One of my favorite movies growing up. 💚
Your 7 years older then me
I always pretended like this would happen to me. ☹️
I was born when this movie came out. I watched it when I was 11 maybe or 10. Loved it
Same!!
I was around 8 in 1989 ha, I really enjoyed it! Made me think potentially magic was real.

+caitlinjane92 try Sabrina the Teenage Witch
This was my era.... Still better than today.
One of my fav 80s movies
I really liked this movie, but I'm starting to think that it's more of a parody of all the 80's teen movies rather than an original movie itself.
It was haha but still good. That random girls locker room dance outbreak was sooo... random. It kinda takes elements of other 80s movie later or sixteen Candles and that corny Footloose movie
@@theashologist ‘That corny Footloose movie’?!?!
Aight.

It really wasn’t. This was the 80’s
A lot of 90 movies take their ideas from this type of movie andera like shoes all that and 10 things I hate about You the whole dancing during the prom
I remember watching this as a kid growing up in the late 90s
I grew up in The 90s too But I Only Grew in The 2000's

I mean..they definitely still do..
That’s because they weren’t easily accessible to view as they are today with the Internet.
Makeovers in 80s : from straight to curly hair.
Makovers 20 years later: from curly to straight hair.

No. Her wishes all have consequences if you watch it
@@CherryFix she ends up happy and with the guy she wants. Maybe you should watch it.

Was that the old lady from poltergeist? If so I have to see this...
Yes it was. Zelda rubenstien

Blake Lively's sister... Would've never guessed, they look nothing alike.
@Imani M Yeah she also has a brother who starred in a few movies like the Butterfly Effect 2. His name is Eric Lively. A big part of her family including her dad have been acting for a while...
Robyn was her brother-in-law's Mint Mobile "Family Plan" ad (Emphasis on the quotation marks).

She was so pretty
Lol, how did this get made brought me here..!
My favorite movie of all time
And to think she's actually related to Blake Liverly lol
Love this movie, it's scary it came out the year i was born lol
She is? Is she her older sister?
@@noemistephanie93 this is Robyn Lively. Blake is her half sister.
Her saying new U2 song made me realize how old U2 is.
This is very early high school musical that did well in the mid 00's. That's essentially what this movie really was about.
The movie has too much of an everything but the kitchen sink approach to be compared to that. The musical numbers were clearly out of pure desperation.
This is the most painfully 80's movie possible
I love this movie its my favorite use to watch it all the time now since a grow up its hard to find i have to watch it on tube its ok thou
I think it's strange that this movie played in theatres because it has a small screen sensibility that reminds me of that PBS series Wonderworks.
It is because it was made by a tiny independent studio that likely hoped that if the movie flopped at the box office, the investment in it would be recouped through video rental sales.
I couldn't remember if I've seen this film but I did and I don't know where and why

It's on DVD, you can buy it
its currently on demand on ifc tv
Idk if you're still looking to watch this after 7 years, but it's now free on RUclips.
The mean girl and male lead got married after this movie and are still happily together since i last checked
She talks about RUclips in a 1989 movie? Does anyone see on the last part? I am so bewildered!!!
It's the power of MAGIC! :)
She said U2
TOP THAT!
Omg I'm old! 😱 songs are so familiar.
ninguno de estos chavos parece de high school, sino mas bien parecen modelos salidos de la revista Playgirl, sobre todo Brad (Dan Gauthier).
Strange movie, but great ending
this movie is so corny
I seen a movie was on Prime Video
Have you got full movie?
I swear she said 'its a new youtube song' but youtube was created in 2005... 2:00
I think she said U2 :)
As Wicked oh yeah makes sense thanks
you're welcome :)
I keep on replaying that part but all I hear is RUclips not U2. Please can someone explain?!
Ya it was U2. They were really popular back then.
Between this and karate kid 3, robin lively had a busy year in 1989
If it's not about her best friend I don't wanna
I forgot about this 😮😮😮

classic.
More like a cult classic. This movie was a complete flop at the box office.
I thought I liked this movie as a kid, but as I watch it in my adult years, Louise is kinda a home weaker? Brad's clearly taken
Brad was not really happy with Brenda.. And Louise notice that and she was in love with him and got what she wanted in the end.
like Brenda but the fairy yo!😀
Jake Ryan in 16 Candles = Brad in Teen Witch
