Yeah tbh I’m confused on the importantance of the all points on standing dunk when you just put 1 on there and get the same amount of badges. Just curious not trying to sound like I know everything about the game lol in case there’s something I’m missing there

I have it at 6'5' SG 5/18/10/16 badges, 78 driving layup, 82 dunk, 85 mid and 3pt, 85 passing, 80 ball handle, 88 per D and lat quick, 89 steal, 83 block at 99 OVR and speed, acc and vertical are all in the 90's, i feel my build its so well rounded i can lock people, i can drive and i can shoot with the best of them.
@Daniel Ferguson I think 1 or 2 tick below the default one, the one that puts the 3pt rating at 81.

@Daniel Ferguson I recommend it, your D will be in the 88 range while being a good scorer, i avg 16 PPG and i mainly play with that build, i dropped 35 last night.

my friends a interior force with 30 finishing and he doesn't use fancy footwork, it doesn't work it just stuns them but if they spam triangle it does nothing

No playmaking? Nah homie! You have to have quick first step on gold minimum 3 badges there at least! I would take downhill at least bronze but would rather gold. So minimum 4-6 on Playmaking.
Overall great input and great articulation but I just disagree with the set up at Playmaking

in pro am the play style is just different if someone is dedicated to the lockdown/sharp position they shouldn’t be dribbling at all

2 way 3 level Facilitator seems to be more balanced but this is still a solid build. Thanks for the information
Great vid, the only thing this is obviously built in mind with his role on his team as this could have been made a bit different and somewhat more versatile although I definitely agree with him to keep in mind as I use this same sharp lock as well, same height too in pro am that this is primarily meant for perimeter defending and shooting. Range extender, downhill, quick first step is always good in a lot of different situations among a couple other badges but hard to argue or debate with a professional 2K player.
I'm surprised that you didn't put range extender on because it helps your Deep 2s, Standard 3s, and Deep 3s. Spacing the floor is everything in 2k. Also I think 6'5 and default wingspan is better. Corner specialist is not that good because corner shots already have a higher green and make rate.
I was thinking the same exact thing. Have had this build since this video came out and I run with of range extender and it allows me to play everywhere. Nate probably only chooses this because he plays corner on his team. If you don't run corner or play park with this build, it is a no brainer to take off corner specialist and add HOF range. Best comment on this thread
He did the build all the way wrong... could’ve got way more badges at pg position and still would’ve done good at the 2

The TWO WAY FINISHER is the best sg lockdown build(Fully red piechart) Gets 30 def badges and 17 finishing badges 6 playmaking badges you can get shooting badges too (I didn't for mine I chose the extra finishing badges) At 99 the way I made the build gets 96 speed 98 acceleration 92strength 99vertical 99 stamina ...(gym rat badge +4 included in those physical attributes) Can literally gaurd any position...most def stats are 99 including def rebound.

I have the same build except I get 10 finishing,18 shooting, 14 (or 15) PM and 15 def. I play pretty good Def so i sacrificed a few

You can take the mid range down 1 attribute and put it in finishing for 1 more finishing badge
This build with Sharp takeover is a 3 and D guard which is way better name bit good build overall
Yeah this build should be made as a 6'5 PG and played at the 2. Much better build because of badges
If you make him a PG you can get 23 defensive badges.
With 18 shooting badges
And 8 finishing badges
1 playmaking badge
So Nate, messed up right away making him a Shooting Guard.

When you’re a lockdown, you don’t need playmaking. That’s not your role. But I would put your ball control up to at least 50 because then you can run the fast break with ball.
PG 6’4 185 Offensive Threat 11,21,14,9 for my badges upgrades. I mean he can do everything I need him to do GOAT build

I would argue a rebounding wing is the same build but gives you more versatility on defense to guard the big man

I have a similar build but 6 Finishing / 17 Shooting / 9 Playmaking / 18 Defense. Mine is 6'4" though and I went Vert/Speed pie which gave me 92 Speed / 99 Vert. Don't need corner specialist at all with this build IMO. You're shooting is high enough that hitting 60-70 percent is easy.
Most useful part of this vid for me was his feelings about pick pocket
twizms i really didnt understand that part. If I had a 85 steal im putting pick pocket at least on silver. That way if you’re guarding a non-dribbler it won’t be hard to strip the ball from him.
Not to mention, he made his arms long for no reason

You only need 15 shooting badges I made my lock with 7 finishing 15 shooting 19 defensive and one playmaking I shoot over 60% in park and REC

The 2way slasher is a great lock build but the perimeter lock is better 2 way slasher roust a lil faster better shooting with the perimeter lock you don’t need all that playmaking still fast with 90 speed and get pro dribble moves with 23 badges on D better pro am lock build is the perimeter Lock 🔒 PG

You definitely need to reach more than once a quarter to be an effective lockdown. Sometimes when you reach even if you don’t get the steal you’ll interrupt a dribble, make a ball handler stumble, have to pass out, etc.

Ehhh lost a lot of weight going to minimum and the speed didn't even move. Only gained 3 accel. Might as well stay the default weight, in my opinion.

Yupp thats how you know who is and isnt good at 2k. These builds are not mean for every person to just make and be dominant. Personal and team playstyle matters

V, George Smith he doesn’t need pogo and rim protector... he plays on the perimeter and guards the ball handler ... when the ball handler drives, the center picks them up
