Here to answer a few common question I seen in the comments
Remember builds are all personal preference. Make a build that fits your playstyle.The way I make my build and use it may not suit the way you play or your ProAm team composition. This build is meant to be used in ProAm. I guard corner with this build and sit corner on offense.
My main duties when playing with build this on my ProAm team are as followed:
1.Boxout and grab rebounds on both ends of the floor
2.Bait out of the corner and rotate when needed for my team on defense
4.Hit my open corner threes when I get passed the ball
5.Be the bailout on offense for my team when the shotclock runs low. When shotclock hits 7 seconds I flair up to the middy, call for the ball, do one move and shoot a post fade while my C gets in position for an offensive rebound.
Those are some of the main objectives I have when playing on my ProAm team using this build.
1. Why no perimeter/interior or lateral defensive attributes?
This is a PF build meant for ProAm. This build is made to guard the corner on defense. The most perimeter defense you will be playing is contesting a corner 3. Being in the right position to jump and contest the 3 will result in a miss 9/10 times. The only time a shot will go in 30% contested or above is if the Corner shooter has on HOF Steady Shooter or HOF Deadeye which is usually not the case.
No Interior Defense is needed because the meta in ProAm at the moment is Pop Centers who can not finish in the paint. Not to mention this build has a 88 block and has access to HOF Rim Protector meaning if you time you jumps correctly (Can even add Silver Pogo to help with that) you will be able to defend the paint with ease.
No lateral is needed because as mentioned above this build is made to corner in ProAm. Lateral quickness is necessary for Perimeter Defender who guard up top.
2. Why not make him a PF or C to get more Defensive badges?
I chose the SF because it allowed me to make a more balanced build. With the 6'9 SF I can get a good balance between Finishing and Playmaking to get the necessary badges I want on my player. For example, if I made the build a C yes I may be able to get more defensive badge points but I will have to choose between Playmaking or Finishing for badge points. So my badge distribution if I made a Center will look like 1/17/7/20 instead of a more balanced 6/17/6/16 you get with the SF. I am not a fan of builds who can't drive, shoot and playmake. The SF Rebounding Wing may not be able to finish against bigs 1 on 1 but I can definitely take a mismatch down low and finish over them. One last note is you do not need 20 defensive badges to guard the corner. Those 4 extra badges you get for making a C are meant to upgrade Brick Wall.The SF Reb Wing should only set screens on offense for specific plays/sets your ProAm teams runs.
3.What Fade animation do you use?
Post fade 3 and Post hop 1 are the two best. Make sure you have at least Gold Quickdraw on to speed up your fade animations.
4. Why heavy weight?
Just to boost the strength and interior defense a bit. Strength helps with not getting pushed around in the paint and helps secure you more Boxouts against bigger Centers who are crashing for rebounds.
Hope this helped you out on understanding why I made this build the way I did. At the end of the day builds are all personal preference. Remember, make what you feel comfortable using and make sure it fits the type of play style you want on the court. I will be checking the comments periodically to answer more questions.

At the end of the video u mentioned Big Chuck! I’m 49 yes old and would love to consider myself a gamer but never been able to keep up with my son in 2k until this year. He actually looks for me to go into the rec center with my floor spacing slasher. So to hear that you were breaking down your pops build was big to me cause as a dad I would love to team up with my son permanently. Love ur videos, keep up the good work!

If I’m playing the big in 3v3 I put post move lockdown gold.
Love this build for 5v5 gameplay. I’m able to catch lobs and shoot very consistently, all while be able to take people off the dribble occasionally. Passing lanes steals and chase down blocks are a regular occurrences,HOF Clamps helps to slow down the elite dribblers .
Only an 86 right now, but this build looks like it’s gonna be crazy at 95+

I made mine 6'8 220 fully extend my wing span .perfect for 3 v 3 and pro am good also when playing with randoms. I kicked my lateral max , interior max and perimeter max and if course rebounding. Shooting all max, ...I managed to get 3 finishing badges, 9 playmaking, 17 shooting and 15 defensive. This build can do it all. I can play the ultimate role player I've taken over games. I shoot 3z at a high clip, my defensive is A1! I rebound well. I'm only a 93 right now , 99 I'll be a serious problem with max out shooting. Love ths build!

This is practically my build on my SG except I have 2 more defensive badges and 3 more playmaking badges. Fire
Curious why you wouldn't just go 6'7 SG with the same pies and get the extra badges as well. Your ball handling and steal get a big boost and your 3 ball also goes up. All preference and 2 inches is a big deal but just wondered since you could choose the balanced physical pie chart on the SG and have similar or better strength while not sacrificing much else.
Definitely looking into building this but at the 3. Keep the content coming!

If you want to make this at the 3, consider a SG for more badges overall. Make him 6-5 to 6'7 you can play 2/3/4
Yo Sneed I have a 6’8 210 of this build and have a 81 speed with a 90 strength I’m fast enough to switch to guards if I need but I’m also strong enough to not get babied by centers if I use pogo stick and moving truck
So for people who dont know jack about basketball but 2k is on special at playstation store how do we even start? I'm a fifa guy ,this new sport is soo difficult. My mates told me RUclips but I dont even know the rules sooo....

Bro if your a good player you can do anything with any build. I use this building park all the time. You can spam post moves to throw off your defender and get that driving dunk or sit corner and wait for that pass. Defense can be just as good as any paint beast. It’s not always about the build, it’s about who’s using it

What do you think is a good defensive center
My personal favorite heights are 6'11 and 7'1 for a defensive center. Some 2k players like Ramo are using a 6'10 center. You can make 7'3 but you will be slow as heck and all the smaller centers will be rim running you all day.
Red/Green. and Red/Blue are really good pie charts. You can also go Red or Red/Orange. Go with the one that fits your playstyle. You can make a really good build from any of the defensive pie charts this year.
Maxing your wingspan is the way to go for most center builds..

He's saying max strength. You still need around 70 though. Prioritize vert and speed for transition and rebounding.

i think this build is so bad because you need interior defence and perimeter defense gives you contest on ball so might as well make a sf wing and max defending and 3 and put rest on finishing
builds like these are definitely for people with low latency or lag. High lag cannot hit consistently with these types of builds. I think that should be emphasized when making these build videos because some people will think they can consistently shoot with 79 which isn’t true for park with lag. Just a suggestion for transparency sake
TheOneYouFear 1 I’ve been able to shoot at the park with my lockdown (in 2k19 terms) point guard with 74 three. And I’ve also been able to shoot at the rec center too which sometimes lags worse than park. It’s most about having the right badges and timing your jumpshot thru the latency (gotta learn after 1 or 2 shots).
You can hit consistent with 70+

If I want to build rebounding wing in park, what abilities or badges do I need to modify?
The shooting, just stick with hof on hotzone, green machine, range extender, and quick draw. For defense, you only need bronze interceptor, get hof clamps, and the rest is up to you. You don't need playmaking attributes, nor do you need finishing badges. just upgrade shooting, defense, and layups/dunks.

@@basketballnevastops7341 You don't need passing for park at any position other than a point. Unless you are throwing full court on 3s. He isn't asking for a pro-am build, so all he will do is hand it off to the point and sit corner.

Make the Glass Cleaner build instead, you don’t get any playmaking but you get 3 finishing, 18 shooting, 1 playmaking, and 20 defense. 6’9, 247 lbs, max wingspan. Defense and shooting pie... max everything in shooting and defense, leave the playmaking, max close shot, driving dunk, and standing dunk.

Cody Parrent I understand, and the build is fine. I just think that it’s kind of niche. The purpose of the build is to spot up and play defense, having playmaking badges makes his build a bit useful in some other way but personally I don’t think it’s enough for the average/good player. The finishing is what it is in my opinion. You aren’t getting contacts so 4 badges compared to 6 doesn’t really hurt you to much in comparison to the extra 4 badges in shooting and defense. Especially defensively, the Glass Cleaner build is a lot more versatile defensively. It’s all preference like he said, but for the masses, I don’t think most people can utilize every strength. I guess I can only speak for myself though. I’d rather have 20 defensive badges for Rec/Park/and Pro-Am because not every team you play is super comp and you may need them, but that’s just me.

I'm sorry but I don't think this build is good at all. Strength is way more important than vertical. Like he said, "this build does not finish that well in the paint." Why focus on vert then? Rebound animations are way more dependent on stats and badges. This build is not 10/10 and more like 3 or 4/10. Go center at 6'9 for more badges and a better player and just ignore finishing so you can play fast break defense. You can get like 1,17,10,23 on your badges instead and be a way better player.

He takes def primary to get hof badges, otherwise you can only get them gold.
When you play pro am or rec as 5 premade, you need 2 guys in the corners to open up the floor, simple as that.
