Those Skar audio bass knobs with the clipping light are great to have. It was tested against the SMD2 and both came on at the same time. Pretty accurate

Yup the dd1 for finding the max undistorted volume of the head unit and then matching the gain of the amp to the voltage output of the head unit
I usually use the ultimate car audio app for the 40hz test tone. It plays continuously, and I need that to adjust the low pass filter also.

Bro idk why but I did this with a test tone, subs disconnected, and adjusted the gain on my amp (which has its own clipping light) and the light never came on, it would let it go almost all the way and no clipping light. I connected the subs, turned everything down balls low, and the. Adjusted it SLOWLY and the light came on with subs connected, but volume low. Not sure why.

I'm thinking about adding a skar 10 to my kicker subs and Gothic 2500 amp. Should I wait til I get a real head unit or fk it go for it?
You have to turn up your sub volume on your deck all the way up cause the preouts are gonna match up to the voltage of the deck , and the higher the voltage on the preouts the better 4v or 5v the best and that’s without a eq or bass enhancer .

Hey I have planet audio 4000 ,never had a sub knob on it but now I have one . And everytime I plug it up all the bass goes away , and when I adjust the knob the volume of the subs never move can you help me?

How you set your low pass if you don’t have a oscilloscope
Sometimes, my bass knob is max out, but the subs didn't have strong bass coming out n made me Hella confuse. Gain is at 2 o clock position lpf is at 0 n subsonic is at 0. What did I do wrong?
Make sure the volume on your head unit is around 70-75% of the total volume. Set your gain to right before it starts to distort. Set Lpf between 80hz - 100hz. Set subsonic to 25 hz. Also, make sure your speaker wire is matching the negative and positive to your subs.😊 Hope this helps.

I have the sdr loaded enclosure and it’s a good budget investment and they bang and sound great but if you have the $ go for the evls. But if you’ve haven’t had subs in the past the sdrs would be a good start

i have 2 12 inch subs and the power light was turning on about a month again and it randomly just stopped receiving power, i tried a different bass knob and it didn’t work either. any help???
