This was one of the best battles this season. Teams don’t dance anymore, but this event forced both team to just dance without gimmicks, stand routines, etc. showed the consistency and style.
I expected nothing less from the J-Settes. They ate the girls as expected! Laneia is everything I need and more 😩 However, the dolls surprised me. In my opinion, this is the best they’ve looked all season. All of them seem to have a newfound energy. I’m here for it.
The two Authentic teams who are the mothers of all the other girls. The two teams who ALL the others bit off of and tweaked their style & called it their own. They both did what needed to be done. They are both my favorites hands down. Different styles but the best at their styles.

This was the unnecessary "battle " that was not needed (band perspective)😂.Anyway the Settes were Setting and the Dolls were Dolling. Nice even performance from both squads no major fireworks both squads were on point imo.
Some of the people commenting really just don't like the Dolls. And that's totally fine...you're allowed to like or dislike whatever you want. But being so pressed that you can't even handle seeing other people disagree and give those girls their flowers is corny. I'd really recommend doing some inner work to figure out why you need the rest of us to be haters like y'all are. As far as I'm concerned, while I definitely think this has been the J-Settes' year, I don't think either got cleared in this battle...both the Dolls and J-Settes brought it and I thoroughly enjoyed what they gave us from start to finish.

The winner based on the band’s sound and dancers: easily SBOTS and j settes. From selections to cohesive and cleanliness! Neia’s creativity, attention to detail and discipline wins by its self: ending with the songs, sit downs on point, all the mirror counts to “Bobby Valentino” and the imagery of that formation 🔥, new Crowley count. As a trained dancer, I respect the technique and style of the Dolls, but name three new dynamics they incorporated here. The Settes gave you several 🤷🏽♂️
Ever since I got into HBCU dance teams, I've been a Forever Doll through and through, but LaNeia this season has made me watch the settes A LOT. Baby you deserve nothing but tens and I wish you nothing but the best 🎉🎉🎉
This was pretty much a exhibition, two different styles, and both girls led their teams, and their teams followed…….. this is always a back-and-forth every year when they meet each other from these fans…. I love the dolls and settes my top two dance lines

I can agree with the tie for the dance teams but as for the bands The Sonic Boom took it. Overall I’m proud of the Dolls! Give them a few more seasons and we are gonna get a legendary season again! The Jsettes are the standard though and have yet to let up. Every year so far has just gotten better and better.
Wasn’t no damn tie😂😂😂 jsettes ate the fuck outta them! The dolls brought better energy but it wasn’t enough for laneia and the hard hitters that back her up and bring the energy every week! The counts,the musicality and formation changes ATE DOWN as well. I really think the Jaysettes and the Dolls should ever battle because they are 2 different styles. I am always bored with the doll’s style. Reminds me of vaudeville. I prefer the Jaysettes. They dance all the way their whole body and give interesting formations. If I want to see the rockets, I will just go to Radio City Music Hall.
That’s a huge compliment on the training the dolls have if their technique matches the rockettes. But I’ve never seen them do stands like the dolls style. The dolls have a certain aura about them if you get you get it 💅🏾

This is actually a tie for real, both teams represented their organizations very well. I personally prefer the jsettes style, so I’m leaning more towards them if I had to choose a winner, but overall I was very pleased with both teams sooo yeaa ! 💙🤍💙💛
Both Jsettes & Dolls did well, top-tier dance lines. However, it’s evident from these 1-on-1 BOTB-ish events, and 0 & 5th quarters, their styles, tempo, & delivery are not comparable. People who enjoy the Jsettes style, may be more prone to enjoy Motion; same concept with the Dolls. I think that’s why these 2 fan bases clash a lot. Yes, throw shade and stand on bidness when it comes to your fave team, but chill out on the nastiness. Now let me add my touch of shade. I know who yall THOUGHT I was going to list as a comparison to the Jsette style…But no ma’am!
Listen I love love love the Dolls, they were great but they had a couple of “snooze” moments. For example, I could have done without that round of the praise song counts - with all of the really old counts. Overall Kyre had so much fun, The girls looked good and they had some super strong moments. As for the J-Settes, I liked the way they looked as a unit on altogethers , there were a few obvious mess ups but i could have looked at that captain all day. She is incredible. The energy she has - my god. I think Morgan’s tally was right, the Jsettes had the edge by 2 rounds.

Giving this battle a tie is nice politics. Jsettes took this battle easy! They ran a counts clinic!! Dolls finally showed up after a super lackluster season but they def did not execute on the same level as the jsettes.

laneia and her settes didn't impress me, they brung what i EXPECTED out of them (not saying they did a bad job! they were AMAZING, but the way this season went for them, they had NO CHOICE but to give the girls what they wanted to see, and did just that!) dolls brought new material & energy, and ALSO gave the girls what they wanted to see! overall tie, but if i had to choose, dolls taking it🤷🏽♂️ they wanted they lick back and got it!

Jsettes had nothing to prove as they already drugged the dolls this season. At this point, jsettes shouldnt have showed up. Dolls is just not it. A tie my ass- Settes ate them up and it was NOT a hard decision.
laneia and her settes didn't impress me, they brung what i EXPECTED out of them (not saying they did a bad job! they were AMAZING, but the way this season went for them, they had NO CHOICE but to give the girls what they wanted to see, and did just that!) dolls brought new material & energy, and ALSO gave the girls what they wanted to see! overall tie, but if i had to choose, dolls taking it🤷🏽♂️ they wanted they lick back and got it!

Jsettes had nothing to prove as they already drugged the dolls this season. At this point, jsettes shouldnt have showed up. Dolls is just not it. They have great technique, just boring and lack creativity in the stand. I like the sexy femmeine vibes but give me more than box squares. Dolls would be a great attribute to the marching 100. Each season the sette captain elevates the position and the team. The dolls did amazing this battle but the settes remain undefeated.
