It’s fair because she really raised the bar!! That’s not to say this season’s fields weren’t excellent because they definitely were!! The dolls are in a league of their own, truly. But after two years, Airielle’s work became the new normal and they went a little backwards this season. In my opinion. Still top tier though. ❤
@@davidwalker7444 I 100% agree with you. The standard for dancing doll fieldshows was elevated during Airelle’s reign. Just because she is no longer there doesn’t mean that it should change, it should remain consistent or elevate even more. The Dancing Doll brand, status, and field show material should stay the same or elevate no matter WHO is captain. Alot of people missed your point but I get it 100%.
@@tmichelle.6566 it’s the same with the settes after KG! In her two years, she developed the girls coming behind her in such a way that the material has continued to elevate! Each captain is motivated by different elements of that team’s style. Amber and Kionna were SOOOO old school!! They brought back that clean sette form!! Laneia amplified it by 10, while adding that “battle-sette” element…and the program grows more!! With the same material…just cleaner!! That’s what we want for the dolls and ALL teams, honestly!
I appreciate you and your channel soooo much. I'm a northerner so I didn't get this band and dance culture first hand....You are single handedly being a historian of our culture. your work here will be such beautiful gifts for posterity. Generations to come will thank you for putting together such a cohesive body of work of our history! THANKS BOO!!!!
Thank you so much 🥹 I know a lot of people don’t get a chance to experience the culture, it’s crazily an incredible culture! Things have to be done right! I’m not always right but it’s about the effort, the dedication, and the transparency of it all at the end of the day! Somebody has to do it!
I think each doll captain always asserts their unique talents and approaches when crafting field shows. It goes without saying that Gabby and Arielle (no coincidence that they’re muva and daughter) without a doubt reset the standard in their respective years as captain. Gabby was fresh, very creative, and dynamic in her field show arrangements. Arielle brought all that PLUS a wider and more precise dance vocabulary and experience which showed in the incredible execution of the 2021 and 2022 field shows. Kyre brought a lot of fun, energy, and sass which is no less great. Even if we have our preferences (and we can and will!), it can’t be denied that each year has its strengths and qualities that keeps us watching (hopefully)!
The Airielle comparison just isn’t fair . She’s a whole different beast when it came to field

Dolls are the one Squad if not the only Squad that can be measured against their own body of work.
I agree!!

Love my dolls!! 💙 💛
I really feel like Milan is up next, after this season- she stands out in a different way🤌🏾
Arielle was the Queen of Field Shows but Kyre did a great job.
Do captains create the whole field show?
No , normally the whole team put in choreography. The captain structures it and cleans it up
I really enjoy your videos 🫶🏾
The style of this season had a lot of similarities from 2019, i think it has to do with both Kyre and Micah being from Texas
Great analysis 💯 #lit
