You know a player is giving everything they got when the instrument goes up, then down on the note.
Whenever they show the horn players close up they are clenching their whole body.
As a tuba player & an alumni of this band sometimes the tensing is an involuntary actions to projecting as much sound as possible (to certain degree's)..but control & intonation is still the main focus
They should have chosen a different costume color for those dancers.

For if the band director wants to add something pretty solo to song it’s no like mellophone or trumpet is going to give you a sound that’s like pretty jazz or something, and most of the time if you can’t here us we be lit and this song wasn’t really nothing to dance to, and everyday we’re learning how to play maybe we want to be a jazz player when older... don’t hate on woodwinds we have a purpose... I’m pretty sure if we played the same it would be more interest in us. stop saying stuff like this a kid can run across here that plays flute, clarinet, sax, or picalo, and have a deep thought like “wow what is my purpose” and they can be very good and knowing they can have a offer from a college just because they can play 12 scales on their little clarinet, flute, ect, but y’all don’t think that way, it’s really not that deep but hear me out, just because you don’t hear us doesn’t mean we don’t have a purpose.

Woodwinds get a lot of flack but a marching band will clearly sound not as full n colorful without them , woodwinds definitely play a big role in how good a band sounds .
