    How’s the longevity been with the Drift HQ angle kit? Had any failure with it? Or anything related?

    Hey did you screw in the gs300 outer tie rods to the same spot as the stock ones?? I did and it toed in like crazy when I installed everything. I had to screw them in a couple more turns. Idk that was right

      Nah we just eye’d them up best as possible and we are going to get the alignment done. Hopefully lol.

    Hi, do you need to hammer those collars in the knuckle adapter or do they just slide in? Those little silver centering spacers..

    • @FreeStyleMediaNola
      @FreeStyleMediaNola  3 года назад

      Yea I tapped them in with a plastic hammer, it shouldn’t take much. Just try not deform them and you’ll be alright.

    Does it matter what year gs300 tie rods you run? What year gs300 did you use?

    • @FreeStyleMediaNola
      @FreeStyleMediaNola  2 года назад +2

      99-03 I believe is the years. It’s the same years gs300 as the is300. Just make sure to run them backwards

    can i know what is the safe wheel setup for this angle mods?

    • @FreeStyleMediaNola
      @FreeStyleMediaNola  2 года назад

      I currently run a 18x8 et+30 and I use a 25mm spacer for those which would make them a +5 offset.
      I also run a 17x9 et+0 and they fit a lot better then 18’s.
      With the 17’s I use a 235-40 and with the 18’s I use a 225-40 tire.

    Drift HQ states in the description of the adapter to run extended lower control arms. Are they necessary or is it just recommended?

    • @FreeStyleMediaNola
      @FreeStyleMediaNola  2 года назад +2

      Recommended. I do not have extended lower arms but you will need gs300 tie rods

  • @AlexPanagos
    @AlexPanagos 2 года назад

    Would it be dangerous to run RCAs on top of them? Idk if my big brakes will clear the tie rods

    • @FreeStyleMediaNola
      @FreeStyleMediaNola  2 года назад

      I personally wouldn’t. The shear potential of bolts that long that are directly bolt to the knuckle seems scary. The angle adapter’s act like RCA’s also since the space the knuckle up

    • @AlexPanagos
      @AlexPanagos 2 года назад

      @@FreeStyleMediaNola Yea i saw they’re their own RCA’s but they also move the tie rods up, I would order extended bolts too ofc

    • @FreeStyleMediaNola
      @FreeStyleMediaNola  2 года назад +1

      Sorry I’m just seeing this but yes it pushes them out about 1/2 inch. Not much but it is plenty enough for most power levels under 500

    • @FreeStyleMediaNola
      @FreeStyleMediaNola  3 года назад +4

      Yes, just be sure to run the backwards. Driver side on passenger and passenger on driver. That’s so they will clear the lower control arm at angle.
