Like Auggie Pullman in this story, I have Treacher Collins syndrome, and I went through a lot of bullying in school. In 2012 the book Wonder (on which this film is based) came out and I read it.

Hi, I have Asperger Autistism so my face is completely normal but I was still bullied a ton at school (they came close to dangling me upside down and taking my pants off in year 10). Just wondering which is worse - being able to look in the mirror and see why the bullies are such jerks or looking in the mirror and not being able to understand why everyone tells you that you are a freak? I'm still undecided so would like to know your thoughts.

I've read this book several times, and cannot imagine a better cast for this film. They all seem so close to the characters i imagined in the book! Can't wait!

I read the book 2 years ago and it is a beautiful story sad but beautiful. "You can't blend in when you were born to stand out"
My little sister was born with charge syndrome which caused several facial deformities (cleft palate, blind eye, droopy ears) along with the challenges of her fine motor skills. I just saw this trailer in the theater and it so close to home. I really appreciate films like this, that bring light to a different type of kid that doesn't fit in.

i feel like in the book they describe Auggie's face to be way more terrifying than it looks in this film.He looks like he might have just fallen down and scratched his face ALOT.

I haven't read the book for this trailer, but Game of Thrones did the same thing with Tyrion Lannister and didn't make him as ugly as he's supposed to be. My guess is that the makeup takes hours to be doing each time for regular filming and for it to be consistent since it's a main character in several scenes.
