Weirdly I can do a pretty good free handstand, working up to OAHS, bit I can't headstand. I guess I just focused specifically on handstand and gotta go back a few steps haha 😄
If you dont have a madical condition than just try to build up time slowly. I had the same. I started with the dog pose from yoga, then continued with placing my feet on a chair or bed and doing shoulder presses. And than raising the handstand time with a wall from 1 sedond to several. It took me over 1 year to feel comfortable being upside down 😀
I've been trying to do a headstand near a wall but once i push towards the wall I can't keep the balance and I fall to the side. And I don't know what it is but when trying a handstand I can't seem to be able to push myself towards the wall. What should I work on to solve this?
I removed the fear of falling but now I developed an OCD. Every random time of the day, my head is telling me to do a handstand and it gives me anxiety. When I try a handstand and I fail, I would feel bad about it and makes me want to do it more. If I do make it however, my mind is asking me "but can you do it in any given moment?" And the cycle repeats. Idk if this is OCD and idk if anyone can relate to this.
Step mums a physio said kids do bad at school cause poor core control and can't sit at a desk all day. I bet if handstand got popular would see a big improvement in teens core control and grades. Plus blood flushed to head bet better than coffee.
I'm not scared of falling or injury, I'm scared of falling through the floor when landing flat on my back, crashing on the ugly 75 year old's couch 5 apartments below me.

I think I am scared of putting all that pressure in my neck with the headstand, but handstands appear to be a little more straightforward 👍

What's the opinion on the yoga headstand, where you use the forearms instead of hands for support?

the way I learned it was from cartwheel (where you end up facing the direction you came from). Headstands are crap and are more scarier for me.
props for the comic routines, they are choice
LOL
When it comes to handstands, the look of resignation on your face at the beginning of this vid is waaaaaay too familiar.
I can do head stand, but still afraid to do handstand without the wall
Learn how to bail and when you are confident you can always exit safely you will be good
@@perotal thanks🙂
Question, what benefit does a head stand offer, aren't you just compressing your body?
If I don't have muscle in my neck would it be dangerous
